They both withdrew their bid for the presidency today...I liked Edwards, now I'm not sure who I'll back in this race...I'm going to go my caucus on Super Tuesday, I love politics...%-)

 

This disappointed me. I really liked Edwards.

Now I'll be throwing my support in for Obama.

Ditto. Giuliani is a scumbag and probably one of the worst Mayors New York City ever had to endure. The only reason he had any amount of support is because he happened to be the Mayor on September 11th, 2001.

Nearly every person I know from the New York/New Jersey area hates Giuliani. I'm glad to see him gone.

 

Well, you win some you lose some. It was an even trade. Well, maybe Rudy was worse than Edwards was good, so maybe the Dems got a better deal out of that.

Still, I used to be against voting for third party candidates, considering it to be a waste of a vote and detrimetral to the system, almost as bad as not even voting... but now I'm starting to change my mind on that... maybe I'll just write in someone. If all the best candidates are dropping out or not getting results in the primaries, I think I may very well vote for them anyway.

But it's hard to show support for someone even though you know they can't possibly win. Damn two-party system...

 

Ok Rock I am now a candidate for president,hell I couldn't fuck it no worse than who we got to even vote for,,I am for more money to the poor folks like me,more SSA benefits,,no tax for the next 4 years,and loads of jobs for them that will work,,OK

 

I just wish I had had a few days to savor the demise of Mr. Giuliani before I had to swallow the bitter pill of Edwards' decision.

My other regret is that I already sent in my vote-by-mail, for Edwards.

I'm pretty much in the Obama camp now, but without quite the enthusiasm of the true believers.

 

Fortunately, I saved my Absentee ballot. I'll be marking a spot for Obama.

I feel the way you do, Kimiko. I support him wholeheartedly, but I really wanted Edwards in there.

Maybe he'll make an appearance as Attorney General.

 

Being a republican since I could vote. I never would have even bothered looking toward a democrat as a leader of this country. Opening my eyes of late and looking past my party and to what is best for the future of the country. I really think Edwards was the way I was going to vote this election. This throws me into another state of WTF am I going to do come election day. I don't like anyone left. But I have to say out of them all Obama might just be the best of them all. Fresh face with fresh Ideas. Whats four more years.

 

That would be nice. I'm glad he doesn't really need a job, though...

 

I vastly prefer Obama to Clinton.

I think bringing a dark-skinned face to the Presidency will show other, non-white countries around the world that there is more to American than the Rich White Corporate Upper-Class.

Combined with that, Obama's natural charisma could really turn world opinion around.

 

If nothing else, I'd like, for once, to be inspired by the President of the United States, and not ashamed of him. Obama has the potential to inspire me.

 

I agree, well said. Maybe he'll pick up Edwards for his running mate.

 

I liked Edwards because he was addressing the growing income gap. I have always liked Hillary, but many people hate her. This is unfair, but as a Democrat I would rather not have to deal with it.

 

one can't deny that Obama has a certain charisma, that of a natural born leader. i don't see him doing a bad job in the oval office at all.

 

Super Tuesday is nigh, things could look a little clearer then.

McCain vs Obama is my bet as the match up in Nov.

 

Even though there were no delagtes Hillary really beat Obama in Florida...
I was kind of surprised by that...However, I think I'm going for Hillary!!!

 

My take is that if Hillary wins the nomination, Jeb Bush could beat her.

 

I'm surprised at one of the posters here who said that he was a Republican but that he would have voted for that socialist John Edwards.

Socialism is contrary not only to the ideals of Republicanism but also of those principles upon which this great republic was founded.
