  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

This might help the Nationwide drivers get more recognition.

I read that, Ten, on NASCAR.com-I really hope it works the way they want it to...I have my doubts-time will tell...It definitely is fairer for the drivers in that series...I think the Cup drivers really make it more interesting...:) I'm not sure I'll watch it very much if they don't compete...

Looking forward to Speed Week at Daytona...

Busch used to fun to watch, like the minor leaguers fighting to make the big time. It got to be nothing but a warmup for the cup drivers.

Hard to call. Where it's going to stink is sponsors won't want to pay if the guy their backing can't compete for the championship. No sponsors, no racing.

It'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

Ahem, the sponsorships will be much cheaper than the Cup series cars, just like they used to be.

What was happening is the big names took all of the good sponsors, drove up the cost for everyone.

See but this is where it gets sticky. Why would I pay for a nobody when I can pay for a star. These sponsors are used to getting big bang for their bucks and now, sure it'll be less but there won't be the bang so they may look to other avenues to put money into. As in NOT NASCAR.

I was reading that there are quite a few Cup drivers that are still going to race in the Nationwide Series...I do believe the big money will still follow them...

Have you ever been to a NASCAR race?

    Cup race? Nationwide race?

You can not beg a ticket to most Cup races, they give them away at most Nationwide races.

I still have a hard time saying anything other than Winston Cup and Busch Grand National.

What do you think of the proposed changes in scoring this year? They are thinking of scoring races by position at finish only, 43 points for the win, dropping one point for each position down to one for 43rd.

It seems to be a good idea BUT it really penalizes a good team with bad luck. Right now the guy who leads the most laps and any lap leader gets a bonus, so if a top car leads the most laps but is wrecked, can wind up with only one or two points.

SEE, this is an idea I've had for awhile. BUT with some changes.
I think 100 for win, then down like they do until 30. 31-43 all get same amount of points.
That would keep wrecked cars from running around the track and dropping parts.

Not a bad idea. Particularly for the usual suspects who do not have the budget to make the right repairs after a wreck. Most of the top teams seem to get a car patched up to be damn near as good as new.

We go all the time actually. And the last couple cup races we went to last year we had extra space around us from empty seats so not so sure about the "Can not beg a ticket,,"

I do understand what you are saying however. Cup tickets are harder sometimes to get, and You can sit prime seats at a Nationwide race, cheap and easy.

On a side note, the Truck races are even easier and a lot of the time, better racing. IMO
