  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

I absolutely hate pack racing... If someone makes a mistake you take out half of the field-it's just too many wrecks for me...

I like Junior, but he'll never be the driver that Dale Sr. was-never...

I'm hoping to get to a race this year, maybe the Coca-Cola 600...

If you could choose one race to go to, which would it be?

Bristol (any race, any division), the best driver/fan race track in NASCAR, any division. Over the years I have been blessed by being able to visit many racing venues. (Off the top of my head: Talledaga; Daytona; Atlanta; Charlotte; Richmond; Watkins Glen; Homestead; Bristol; Martinsville; Nashville; Kentucky; Corpus Christie; Lancaster; Long Pond) All tracks have there own traditions, attraction and history. But none have all the stuff that Bristol has.

The experience of walking to your seat at Bristol is unmatched. The first time I walked into the grandstands I was in awe. Massive, Coliseum like, like we were about to watch gladiators battle to the death. It is that awesome.

Then there's the night race at Atlanta.Make a weekend out of it. The truck race and Qualifying Friday night and then party in ATL. Sleep in, have a nice brunch, head to the track and take in the atmosphere, a lot of drivers are at souvenir trailers during the day. Then enjoy the cars under the lights. THEY ALWAYS LOOK BETTER AT NIGHT!! Then party in ATL again ;) I think there's a theme here.

To see the pack(the one time I am a fan) going into turn one at Talladega on lap #2 after they've gotten up to full song. The banking makes it so it looks like formation flying, you see the tops of the cars as they take to the bank and they go into the turn, and you felt a woosh of air come off the cars, even in the 22nd row. It's awesome.

Sitting in turn 4 of Martinsville, about 8 rows up, even in broad daylight, the rotors glow such and awesome color. That's awesome.

So many fun options, they all have their own unique qualities. Just go to one, any one. It's that simple.

We live about four hours from Hampton, GA the Atlanta track, about 270 miles. For several years a buddy and I would drive down on Friday night, book into a cheap hotel and go to the track to scout for tickets. We never paid more than the face value and even scored free tickets a few times. We would go to the Saturday Busch race and then the Sunday Cup race. Before they switched the front and rear straightaways, you could see the track well from just about any position. We would have a blast and get away pretty cheaply. We always parked at the rear of the grandstand far from the track, we found a locals way out across the airport. We would be home by the time a lot of our friends got to the Atlanta city limits.

The repaving didn't really effect the racing all that much from 10 years ago, it just changed the groove from the bottom to the top of the track. Stewart & Kenseth found out the track was like the Bristol of old, when they wrecked fighting for the lead.

Bristol is once again the track that the drivers need their skills as much as they need a fast car.

The new access into Atlanta has really improved things. Now it's where most people go so the "locals" routes are even faster ;)

I must be SO WEIRD. We were at the first race at Bristol when they put the progressive banking in and I saw something that was the coolest thing ever, THREE WIDE AT BRISTOL!!
When I got home and watched the TV broadcast, I could see why the fans cried, the TV didn't show hardly ANY 3 wide action, when in fact there were cars 3 wide at some point EVERY lap. I guess I'm weird, I thought that was awesome.

Is Nascar where they drive round in a big circle, tie a string between the steering wheel and the door handle, put the radio on and drink Gatorade while doing the crossword in the NY Times?
