Hold my feet to the fire. I didn't deny I said it, I just didn't remember. And I'm not backpedaling, but there is more behind the statement then what you're trying to portray.

In a homicidal rage over my son, would I burn down a church? I dunno. I might, I might not. Is he dead? Was he killed because he was not a Christian? Because that would certainly change my reaction. If he is then someone, the person who did it if I can manage, is going to die and I won't apologize for making the statement. At that point I'm not worried about the law and there is no rationalizing it. If I'm killed in the process or decide to commit suicide after the fact, I'm insured and my policy covers me if I decide to off myself.

Now, did I mean literally that I would burn down every church in a fifty mile radius? No, almost certainly not. Use your head. 'That's the lump three feet above your ass.' And since it was a religious attitude that caused the death or injury to my son then I would not be out of line to exact my revenge on religious people. That is not prejudicial or bigoted response, it would be an appropriate one. (If revenge can be said to be appropriate.)

I'm fine leaving religious people alone as long as they leave me alone. The problem is, they usually don't. Whether it's people like you who want to subvert the Constitution, a glaringly godless document, or people who want to teach creationism in science classes or ban gay marriage, they're in your face all the time.

On the forum I post religiously charged topics occasionally because it's fun to talk about and it's an entertaining way to pass the time. In real life I'm not nearly so confrontational about it unless it's brought up. Then I make no efforts to hide my belief and many of the arguments I've made on the forum are the same ones I use in real life. I've said it before that I use the debates on here to refine my ideas.

So take that for what you will.

Take you for example. What you just put up really means that if you can't convince someone of your beliefs or if they don't like yours turn you back and walk away. Not argue like a fool.

You prove my point here, Shake. I basically just pointed out to you that you can know that God exists and that He cares by looking at the evidence. Yet you are unwilling to even take a look at it with an open mind.

If you are so determined to remain an atheist that you will not even consider evidence which may lead to the opposite conclusion then an atheist you will remain. And there is no use in me even trying to convince you otherwise.

There is one thing I know for sure, everyone has eternal life no matter what they believe.
All of us are in these temples of clay temporarily and get to go home after we have attended our classes here.

 

I dont know about other religions but christians SHOULD be believe in showing love to others, like how they want themselves to be treated. In the new testiment there is no hate of any kind and it only teaches love.

At the Columbine high school the 2 students were not religious but athiests, who gone into to school to kill also singling out a christian girl and shot her dead.

Dont you see this, it has nothing to do with religion, race or sex it is the shear STUPIDITY of human beings that causes violence

I read what happened to her and it`s really sad, she was around 10-11 yrs old with a bunch of 14 yr olds beating her. Being as a child those things will never leave your mind, but now that she is in her late 30's you tend to loose some of your memory of the smaller detail like someone trying to comfort you, while you are still traumatised. I personally think she may have forgotten some of the nice things


I was once a bully, getting into groups sucker punching all the smaller kids having sooo much fun, trying to see who can cause the largest bruise on a kid like Matt and seeing him cry. Well 12 years later Matt is a great friend of mine .... and some times we talk about those days i would tell him the smaller things that i did to him and he never remembered those. Like I said it has nothing to do about religion race or sex it is
