  3. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

My younger 15 yr old brother looks at porn. Even though porn sites say you have to be 18 they know minors are there and behind the scenes they attract minors. I was just wondering do you think its ok he is sexually active and watches porn, your honest opinions. Did you look at porn before 18?

i think kids should avoid being sexually active until they are old/mature enough to handle the responsibilities and/or consequences of being sexually active(pregnancy, std, etc.)

as far as porn goes, you can't really stop kids from looking at it on the internet. its virtually everywhere and is always like two clicks away from wherever you are.

I was really young when I started looking at porn. I was also very young when I had my first sexual experience. I think that it's pretty normal, but they need to be taught how to do it safely

If I said no I'd be a hypocrit (sp) ... and I know my son has already found porn some quite interesting porn I might add too. I'm quite open about sex with son so I told him if he's ready I'll buy his protection for him.

Should or shouldn't is kind of a useless question. The fact is that they are, in one way or another, at least most of them are. As responsible adults, it's our responsibility to open up lines of communication for adolescents to ask for guidance and help when they need it. Young women and men should be able to have access to all the information they need to have their sexual explorations be as positive, safe, nonjudgmental and enjoyable experiences as we wish ours could have been when we were at the same stage of life.
I don't mean just a bunch of clinical information, although that's necessary for sure, but I think some kind of preparation for the emotional experiences that are always part of sexual awakenings.
Just try to remember what you went through at that time, all the mixed feelings. The pleasure guilt, the fear of being caught, the fear of pregnancy, the fear of being different, the joy of discovery, not wanting to be pushed into what you were not yet ready for, the feelings of inadequacy, all the miss information you received from your peers. The confusion when the reality wasn't the same as what the porn stuff led you to beleive it was going to be like.
Does this make sense to anybody? Maybe people who grow up feeling comfortable with their sexuality, no matter what it turns out to be can make a better world than the one we live in today.
    Sorry for the rant.

of course minors should and are sexually active. just because some MAN-MADE law says that they can't be, does not stop them. most people hit puberty at a very young age (10, 11, 12) and that is nature telling you that you're ready. while they may not be ready for the consequences of their actions (pregnency and what not) they are physically ready for sex and also mentally ready because of all the extra horomones floating around. 18 is not some magical number where all these fireworks explode around you and you turn into an adult. it is just an age some guy picked a long time ago. it is completely normal for pre-teens and teenagers to be, at the least, curious about sex.

It's human nature to be sexually active, though it would probably be better for us all if minors weren't sexually active, but what exactly are we going to do?

Keep them locked in a room with no computer, phones, friends?

There's way way to keep anyone, weather it be minor or other wise from being sexually active.

But yes, I did look at porn before I was 18.

I find it kind of hard to believe that if you were born in the past, let's say 27 years, that you haven't looked at porn while on the internet before turning 18.

I myself first looked at it when I was in 3rd or 4th grade.

Now to the other question you asked about if it's okay for 'minors' to be sexually active, that really depends. Personally, I don't think anyone under the age of 15 or 16 should be having sex. Though, when I think about this, I'm a major hypocrite to my own rule in the fact that I found myself sexually experimenting with a friend when I was 8 or 9... So about the same time I discovered porn... I don't even know how we started doing that sort of stuff. I mean, I can remember before we started things like touching and what not, and I can remember after we started it, but I don't remember why or how we started doing it...

*Purses lips* Minors as a generality are immature, but as OldieGoodie said, we have to open lines of communication. Not some bullshit about talking to your parents, I mean honestly who wants to tell their mom "Hey Mom? Yeah, I uh...need some money for condoms." It's just not realistic, teenagers want to strike it out on their own, be big girls and boys. They feel awkward talking to their parents at all, hell my dad was fifty when he and mom had me. That means he was born around nineteen thirty nine. I'm a child of the nineties! How do you bridge a generational gap of fifty years? You can't, not really. I mean, I love my old man but he doesn't understand the times we live in, when he was a teenager, it was the fifties, age of conformity. The time where they still thought the soviets were comming over to nuke california.
I lost my virginity to a fourteen yearold redhead on a beach when I was twelve, I didn't tell my parents about it cause well, how do you tell your mom and dad that you just had sex? You really cant. It's a fact that kids will always say that the older generation doesn't understand the times, which sometimes is true, but the people whose parents lived in the age of love, (Woooo hippies!:D ) they should feel comfortable talking to their parents, they're the ones who pioneered this modern world. They know better than we do the dangers of aids, of pregnancy, they understand the needfulness of condoms and prophalactics.

This is a scary world we live in my friends. Kids need to know the real side of sex that porn cant show you, and a lot of them dont feel able to talk to their parents. The schools cant help, the kids always joke at it. We need some kind of community outreach to enlighten the minors.

Bah, what do I know? I'm an eighteen year old kid myself.

Hard question. I looked at porn before I was 18 and I knew about sex and I got very near trying it but I knew about safety. I agree with some of the other posters. Minors should be sexually active, it's normal, but they should prepared with knowledge of how to be safe.
