Pelosi announces select committee on Trump-incited Capitol riots

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Thursday revealed that she will be forming a select committee to examine the riots at the United States Capitol building this past January.

"January 6th was a day of darkness for our country," Pelosi said. "This morning, with great solemnity and sadness, I'm announcing the House will be establishing a select committee on the January 6th insurrection."

Pelosi last month passed a bipartisan measure establishing an independent commission to investigate the riots, but it was filibustered by the majority of Republicans in the Senate, despite the fact that it got over two dozen Republican votes in the House.

The U.S. Congress has officially filed the paperwork to form the Jan. 6 Commission that will examine the attacks on the U.S. Capitol.

Under the House Rules Committee, the language establishes the goals and information that will be gathered.

"To investigate and report upon the facts, circumstances, and causes relating to the January 6, 2021, domestic terrorist attacks upon the United States Capitol Complex (hereafter referred to as the 'domestic terrorist attack on the Capitol') and relating to the interference with the peaceful transfer of power, including facts and causes relating to the preparedness and response of the United States Capitol Police and other Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies in the National Capitol region and other instrumentalities of government, as well as the influencing factors that fomented such an attack on American representative democracy while engaged in a constitutional process," the document says.

Highlights of it were posted by Republican lawyer George Conway, agreeing that it "will do."

Um.... it was the Republicans in the Senate that stopped and investigation by Congress. If you see any tether to reality, grab it!

Pelosi names Liz Cheney to Capitol riot commission -- after Kevin McCarthy threatens her committee assignments

MSNBC's Jesse Rodriguez reports that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has invited Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) to have a spot on the commission investigating the Capitol riots .

The decision to appoint Cheney to the select committee came despite the fact that Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has reportedly threatened her committee assignments if she accepts.

Cheney has been one of the Republicans most dedicated to delivering accountability for the deadly January 6th riots inspired by former President Donald Trump, as she not only voted to impeach Trump, but also was one of just two Republicans to vote in favor of Pelosi's select committee on the riots.

The Wyoming congresswoman said she was honored to be named to the commission.

‘Queen of Shade’: Pelosi applauded for trolling Trump

Speaker Nancy Pelosi clapping at President Donald Trump (Photo: Screen capture)

The internet is applauding Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi for a rare, biting take-down of Donald Trump.

In a press release criticizing the former president the Speaker refers to him as a "Twice-impeached Florida retiree."

She also criticizes him for "decrying how rioters 'are being treated unbelievably unfairly' now that they are facing legal consequences for their actions. The "rioters" of course are the insurrectionists who attacked the U.S. Capitol on January 6 in an attempted coup determined to overturn a free and fair election.

To date, the Dept. of Justice has charged more than 500 people in the insurrection.

Social media erupted with glee for the Speaker's rare trolling of Trump.

Schumer: Democrats 'ready to expeditiously fill' any Supreme Court vacancy

Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said on Friday that Democrats are ready to fill a Supreme Court seat if one becomes vacant, amid progressive pressure for Justice Stephen Breyer to retire.

Schumer, in a "Dear Colleague" letter released on Friday, didn't mention Breyer by name, though his mention of a potential Supreme Court vacancy was seen by some as a subtle nudge toward the 82-year-old liberal justice.

In his letter, Schumer also appears to be nudging Justice Breyer here: "As always, Senate Democrats stand ready to expeditiously fill any potential vacancies on the Supreme Court should they arise."

    Uh Oh.
There was a report from a "source familiar with the situation" that Hillary Clinton had invited justice Breyer for lunch.
He declined, reportedly telling Hillary; "not a chance, Lady Tremaine, not a chance".

To fulfill the agenda of the hack fucks in Congress...they must 'first' change the definitions of ''INFRASTRUCTURE''.

So, that's what they aim to do.

Maybe they could also change the definition of inflation while they're at it.
Cause, inflation is about to bite everyone of us right in the ass.

Freedom Caucus pushes McCarthy to oust Pelosi as speaker over Jan. 6 committee

In a letter sent to McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Friday, the conservative group accused Pelosi (D-Calif.) of holding “an authoritarian reign” over the lower chamber, arguing her recent actions warrant moving forward with vacating the chair.

“We, the House Freedom Caucus, respectfully request that you pursue the authorization of the House Republican Conference, pursuant to Conference rules, to file and bring up a privileged motion by July 31, 2021, to vacate the chair and end Nancy Pelosi’s authoritarian reign as Speaker of the House,” they wrote.

“Rule IX, Clause 3 of the Rules of the House of Representatives for the One Hundred Seventeenth Congress requires that ‘A resolution causing a vacancy in the Office of Speaker shall not be privileged except if offered by direction of a party caucus or conference.’”

Republicans have been highly critical of Pelosi’s rejection of Banks (R-Ind.) and Jordan (R-Ohio), two of former President Donald Trump’s strongest allies in Congress, alleging it proves the panel is politically motivated. Pelosi announced the ouster of the two McCarthy choices for the committee — which is tasked with investigating the deadly siege on the Capitol when pro-Trump rioters attempted to disrupt the certification of the election — on Wednesday.

This is all politically motivated in Shooters opinion. The investigating committee, the assignment of its members, the request to oust Nancy Antoinette, and the spew about the January 6 riot.

The despicables, led by Nancy Antoinette and the power rangers, saw fit to oust a deplorable representative from ALL committee assignments for purely political reasons.
Karma can be a sultry bitch, eh?

Pelosi ‘Very Confident’ Democrats Will Retain House in Midterm 2022

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Friday she believes Democrats will maintain their majority in the House of Representatives through the 2022 midterm, dismissing election numbers and internal warnings that the GOP will take over.

“I’m sure we’ll win the House,” Pelosic Told Rep. In response to a question about Sean Patrick Maloney’s (D.N.Y.) internal presentation Friday, reporters showed that if the midterms are held today, Democrats will lose a majority.

Pelosi dismissed news reports predicting losses for Democrats, saying that “there are many scenarios here,” adding that “you never [campaign] from best condition. Pelosi said Maloney’s presentation was “one of those scenarios.”

“I am very confident that we will win the house,” concluded Pelosi.

Tim Persico, executive director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), headed by Maloney, confirmed politician DCCC President Maloney (D.N.Y.) shared data with those in power on Tuesday that showed Democrats could face potential losses next year.

Moderate Dems urge House Speaker Pelosi to separate infrastructure packages

Moderate Democrats have urged House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to allow a stand-alone vote on the bipartisan infrastructure deal. In a letter circulated on Saturday, Democrat representatives from swing and Republican leaning districts called on Pelosi to pump the brakes on the partisan so-called human infrastructure deal.

“As soon as the Senate completes its work, we must bring this bipartisan infrastructure bill to the House floor for a stand-alone vote,” reads the letter. “This one-in-a-century investment deserves its own consideration, without regard to other legislation.”

They reportedly state in the letter their concerns with the partisan plan and how they don’t want the bipartisan plan to get caught in the weeds. Meanwhile, Speaker Pelosi has been steadfast in her desire to see both the partisan and bipartisan deals passed at the same time.

The bipartisan infrastructure bill advanced in the Senate on Saturday, however, there are still hurdles to push through before it passes either legislative body.

After years of Trump's "infrastructure week" Majority Leader Chuck Schimer delivered today. And next up its House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's turn.

Schumer and President Biden got 19 Republicans to vote for it in defiance of Trump's threats.
