'We'll kill them all': Proud Boy insurrectionist who stockpiled weapons faces new gun charges --but could be released

    John Wright
    August 02, 2021

    Matthew Greene

Matthew Greene, a member of the Proud Boys who's been accused of "a conspiracy involving terrorism" during the Capitol insurrection, is facing new gun charges related to a cache of weapons and ammunition FBI agents found at his home.

However, Greene's attorney says he could be released from custody Monday afternoon, according to Syracuse.com.

Greene, 33, is charged in New York state with two counts of criminal possession of a firearm and one count of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to an indictment unsealed Monday morning. Those state-level charges are in addition to the seven federal charges Greene faces in connection with the Jan. 6 riot.

The gun charges are related to three unregistered weapons — an AR-15 and two handguns — that were part of a large stockpile found at Greene's home on Jan. 18, including $2,000 in ammo, war gear and other items that he purchased after the insurrection.

Greene, who pleaded not guilty to the gun charges, is expected to appear in District of Colombia court at 2 p.m. for a hearing related to the federal charges. "His lawyer, Mike Kasmarek, said in county court that he expects Greene will be released later today after the hearing and will likely will be confined to his home with an electronic monitoring device," Syracuse.com reports.

Greene and two other Proud Boys are believed to have been among the first Donald Trump supporters to gain entry to the Capitol, after breaking out a window. Greene has disawowed the Proud Boys in an apparent effort to win pre-trial release, saying he has left the white-supremacist hate group and was not a member for very long. His attorneys have also argued that the stockpile of weapons and ammunition found at his home was intended for use at a firing range, and that he bought it "to take advantage of a favorable price."

Federal prosecutors, meanwhile, have argued that Greene should remain in custody, pointing to witnesses who heard him say, "We'll kill them all."

"On a site called 'Telegram,' prosecutors said Greene posted messages encouraging others to read up on guerilla warfare and tactics used by the Taliban. He also wrote, 'be prepared to do uncomfortable things,'" according to a report from CNYCentral. "He is also accused of being a part of a chat group that was discussing killing 'anyone they got their hands on' including Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi."

This is exactly what both counter terrorism and mental health experts have been warning against. Treasonous conservative/Republicans keep making predictions of Trump being reinstated as president. And when the pr3edictions keep turning out to be false frustrations grow and treasonous conservative/Republicans will turn to violence.

Trump ally announces date of next event: 'We’re going back to the Capitol'

    Capitol Rioters (Screengrab)

For about a month, fans of President Donald Trump claimed that there would be another huge rally in Washington, D.C. and that he would be reinstated as the president. Pillow CEO Mike Lindell claimed it would happen on Aug. 15, just ten days away.

But now, a Trump ally is announcing his own event for Sept. 18. The Huffington Post cited the architect, Matt Braynard as he spoke to Steve Bannon on a recent podcast. "We're going back to the Capitol, right where it started. And it's going to be huge," Braynard promised.

"As we continue to raise the profiles of these individuals" who have been arrested, it "makes it harder and harder for the left's phony narrative about an insurrection to stick," Braynard said. "We're going to push back on the phony narrative that there was an insurrection."

It's unclear which of the individuals he's talking about, as some of them have told courts that they made a huge mistake, were convinced by Trump's call and some even blame the former president.

The majority of the cases are moving quickly through the legal system with people pleading out and getting away on probation. However, there are members of militias and those who worked to plan the attack on the Capitol. Those appear to be some of the cases that seem to be taking longer.

Read more about what is being called the "Justice for J6" protest at the Huffington Post.

Capitol rioter who destroyed media equipment re-arrested for allegedly strangling family member

    John Wright
    August 09, 2021

    Joshua Dillon Haynes (FBI)

A Virginia man who was filmed destroying media equipment during the Capitol insurrection has been re-arrested on charges that he strangled a family member.

Now, federal prosecutors are asking a judge to revoke a bond that was granted to 39-year-old Joshua Dillon Haynes so that he remains behind bars while awaiting trial on six federal charges related to the insurrection, the Roanoke Times reports.

"There is probable cause to believe that the defendant committed multiple violations of state law while he was on home incarceration for his criminal conduct on Jan. 6," federal prosecutors wrote in a motion filed Friday, arguing that he poses a danger to the public and has a "lengthy pattern of abusive conduct."

After being arrested on federal charges related to the insurrection on July 1, Haynes was released on $10,000 bond — before being put on house arrest with GPS monitoring. On July 27, Covington was arrested at his home on state charges of malicious wounding and strangulation, both felonies, as well as multiple misdemeanor offenses.

During the insurrection, Haynes was captured on video destroying equipment belonging to the news media outside the Capitol before entering the building with a horde of other Trump supporters, the Roanoke Times reports. He is one of numerous insurrectionists who've been charged in connection with attacks on reporters or damage to media equipment.

"They had to run away from us and leave all their equipment so we destroyed it," Haynes later wrote in text messages. "i Kicked the fake news ass. ... We attacked the CNN reporters and the fake news and destroyed tens of thousands of dollars of their video and television equipment here's a picture behind me of the pile we made out of it."

Haynes was also photographed wearing a mask inside the office of an unidentified senator.

He later warned FBI agents he didn't believe the insurrection was an "isolated event," and praised those who assaulted Capitol police as "heroes" for "having the balls" to do something about election fraud.

Prior to his arrest in connection with the insurrection, Haynes became known as #HarleySmashAOM on social media, and was rumored to be affiliated with the Proud Boys.

He is currently being held in the Alleghany County jail.

Heavily armed Trump supporter pleads guilty after threatening 6 lawmakers — then leaving name and number

A New Hampshire man has pleaded guilty to threatening to kill six members of Congress if they didn't "get behind Donald Trump," according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Ryder Winegar, a 34-year-old Navy veteran and stay-at-home dad, reportedly was upset that Trump lost the November election when he left voicemails for the lawmakers on Dec. 16, demanding that they overturn the results. He pleaded guilty Friday to six counts of threatening members of Congress and one count of transmitting threatening communications across state lines.

"In some of the messages, Winegar identified himself by name or identified his telephone number," the DOJ said in a news release. "The voicemails threatened to hang the members of Congress if they did not 'get behind Donald Trump.' For example, in one message, Winegar allegedly said, 'I got some advice for you. Here's the advice, Donald Trump is your president. If you don't get behind him, we're going to hang you until you die.' After his arrest on January 11, 2021, investigators learned of a separate, emailed threat to a member of the New Hampshire State House of Representatives on December 14, 2020, where Winegar threatened to pull the representative from his bed and hang him."

Acting U.S. Attorney John J. Farley said: "While political expression is protected speech, threats to commit acts of violence constitute serious federal crimes. By threatening to kill members of Congress and a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, this defendant sought to intimidate public officials. As this prosecution demonstrates, such conduct is not acceptable and will not be tolerated."

In addition to violent threats, Winegar's voicemails included "racist, anti-semitic, and homophobic language," the Cabinet Press newspaper reports.

When Capitol police officers visited Winegar's home on Dec. 20, he refused to speak with him — then fled to Brazil the following day. He returned to the U.S. on Jan. 11 and surrendered to the FBI.

"Investigators reportedly found an AR-15 rifle loaded with light armor-piercing ammunition, a loaded shotgun, a loaded 9mm pistol, an unloaded rifle with a scope, several hundred rounds of ammunition, and a body armor vest, with clips and Level IV body armor plates," the newspaper reported.

Winegar's sentencing is set for December.

An Army veteran who shot at a car full of Black teenage girls when he became enraged at an Iowa rally for then-President Donald Trump last December has been sentenced to up to 10 years behind bars. Michael McKinney, 26, injured a 15-year-old girl during the parking-lot shooting immediately after a pro-Trump protest at the Iowa Capitol. The girls and Trump supporters reportedly had a shouting match before the MAGA fans surrounded their car, which then backed up and hit a truck. At that point, McKinney, who prosecutors say was wearing body armor and carrying several firearms, unloaded a weapon toward the car, hitting one girl in her leg. In a statement read to the court, the victim said: “I believed I was going to die the day I was shot. I didn’t know if I would be able to walk again.” McKinney apologized to the girl in court before he was handed two sentences to run concurrently for a maximum of 10 years.

You can spend a week in Nashville and probably not get any idea how backward and dangerous the rest of Tennessee really is. If that doctor had a gun he could have started shooting people under stand your ground laws fearing for his life.

‘Mind-Blowing’: Tennessee Doctor Tells CNN How He Was ‘Very Scared’ By Threats Over Mask Mandates

A Tennessee doctor spoke to CNN about the angry reactions he and his cohorts received for encouraging their local school district to adopt a mask mandate.

Dr. Britt Maxwell was among the pro-mask speakers who appeared before the Williamson County School Board this week before they voted to implement a mask requirement at their local facilities. This school board meeting drew major protests from anti-mask parents in the area, and it ended with some of them going on angry, threatening tirades to the pro-mask medical officials who were trying to leave the building.

As Maxwell spoke to John Berman on Thursday about his experience, the CNN anchor began by clarifying that Maxwell left the school board meeting before the confrontations reached their peak “because you were afraid of the direction things were going in.” Asked for his reaction to the videos CNN aired, Maxwell said the video was “shocking” as he explained that he left the meeting after the public speaking portion of it was over.

“The energy in that room was hot, and I knew that things were going to get a lot worse. My wife was there, she’s a medical professional too, so we decided we need to go during the recess,” he said. “Before we walked out, we had to brace ourselves. I took my wife’s arm and I said ‘Just remember, no matter what they say, these are the lives we’re trying to save.'”

Maxwell went on to recall that as he left, “someone put their hand in my face and called me a traitor, which…how anyone can say that when I’ve been on the front lines of this pandemic since the beginning, treating patients in rooms, unvaccinated for the vast majority of it, hoping I wouldn’t take it home to my family.”

Maxwell called that experience “mind-blowing,” then he added that he was show footage of the angriest confrontations the next morning.

“I was shaking,” he said. “I was very, very, very scared by that.”

The interview continued with Maxwell speaking about the difficulties of treating the coronavirus while dealing with the misinformation that has been accepted by several of his patients. When the interview concluded, Berman commended and thanked Maxwell for his efforts, and he denounced the threats from that day alongside Brianna Keilar.

Angry California Dad Attacks Teacher Over School’s Mask Policy

A father in Sutter Creek, California, chose violence Wednesday—literally—during an argument with a school teacher over indoor masks. The dad spotted his daughter walking out of Sutter Creek Elementary School with a mask on, as consistent with the school’s indoor mask policy. He then began verbally attacking the school’s principal, prompting a male teacher to intervene. His choice words became hard punches when the dad attacked the teacher, leaving the teacher bleeding and bruised, according to Amador County Superintendent Torie Gibson. The teacher was later taken to a hospital for treatment and released Wednesday night.

The attack prompted Gibson to send a letter Thursday to the community urging people to “take a breath, pause, listen and walk away if necessary” if they’re angry over COVID-19 policies. “Assaulting a staff member will never be tolerated on any school campus, and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Gibson wrote. “Remember, we are not the ones making the rules/mandates, we are the ones required to follow/enforce them if we want to keep our doors open and students at school five days a week.” Gibson told KCRA that the parent was banned from school property, and the district is considering pressing charges.

Election officials exhausted as they continue to receive a flood of Trump-inspired threats

    Matthew Chapman

The January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol may be in the rearview mirror and hundreds of participants charged with crimes — but for many election officials, the nightmare is far from over, NPR reported on Tuesday.

"The conspiracy theory that the 2020 election was somehow stolen from former President Donald Trump has upended almost all aspects of election administration: Local officials who a decade ago would have gone about their bureaucratic business in relative anonymity are facing threats and intense pressure, and a large chunk of American voters have no confidence the system is fair," reported NPR's Miles Parks.

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson said the situation was a "very unfortunate new normal."

One recent poll suggests that one third of Americans still believe former President Donald Trump's "Big Lie" that the presidential election was stolen from him — and a number of them are angry enough to still be targeting election officials.

"Elections are run in the U.S. at the state and local levels, so the top voting officials across the country are usually secretaries of state. They met this weekend in Des Moines for their first in-person gathering since January 2020," said the report. "At this weekend's conference the issue came to the fore almost immediately, when word spread among the secretaries Friday that someone from a far-right conspiracy outlet was said to be in attendance at the conference, according to a state official who spoke to NPR on background about the issue."

This comes as MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, a top election conspiracy theorist who is being sued by a voting equipment company, hosted a multi-day "cyber symposium" purporting to reveal his evidence of fraud, even though it does no such thing.

According to Kim Wyman, the Republican secretary of state of Washington, one of the real dangers is that the threats and conspiracy theories will demoralize some election workers out of the profession altogether: "We haven't decompressed from 2020, we're still every day living it. It takes a toll. It's exhausting... Emotionally, physically, mentally exhausting."

In the videos, he began by talking about how his health insurance wouldn't pay for anything anymore. He said he'd been getting injections in his knees to help him walk, but when he went to the doctor he said that the insurance didn't cover him. He went on to say that his wife had skin cancer but that the insurance wouldn't cover it either because they considered it "cosmetic." He said that his wife had to have her nose practically removed.

"I cleared my conscious with God," he said, noting that he told his wife he'd be "home" on Sunday, "whichever home it is."

"I have no fear. None," he continued. "That crack in my voice is from the passion for the land I love. Somebody needs to tell Joe Biden we here. F*cking revolution starts today, Joe Biden and before you go crackin' any pops on me you better get your military experts out and ask them what a seven-pound keg of gunpowder would do with two-and-a-half proud of [unintelligible] will do, mother f*cker! You know what else? I'm not going to light it. I'm going to give Joe Biden the option to."

He went on to claim that "he is one of five," but didn't clarify what that meant. "Them little roadblocks settin' up comin' on down here, those roadblocks ain't gonna scare f*ckin nobody. You wastin' your time. Southern boys are here. You can take me out but you know what's gonna happen, Joe Biden, there's gonna be a chain reaction. And that chain reaction is going to be on your hands when you crack a bullet through my windows."

Before the Capitol Hill bomb suspect took off to drive to Washington, D.C., he shared a video from former President Donald Trump's eldest son.

According to screen captures from Heavy, Floyd Ray Roseberry's Facebook page trashed President Joe Biden and criticized the withdrawal in Afghanistan.

"The American people will take care of the Talaban (sic) after we take care of ours," he wrote the day prior to arriving in Washington.

Heavy also captured that Roseberry wrote about the "mega million man march," and accused Biden of having "all those dead people...on your hands."

He also bragged about buying a trench coat the day before, showing a photo of his pickup truck and his cowboy hat.

Rosenberry has also criticized Greta Thunberg, and North Carolina Gov. Ray Cooper (D).
