Georgia election workers sue pro-Trump website over false claims that led to racist threats

Two election workers in Georgia have sued a right-wing conspiracy website that falsely accused them of manipulating ballots to ensure Donald Trump's loss in the state.

Ruby Freeman and her daughter Shaye Moss sued the Gateway Pundit website, which is run by twin brothers Jim and Joseph Hoft, after they were targeted with death threats, unwanted pizza delivery orders and racist harassment after the website pushed debunked claims that the two women “pulled out suitcases full of ballots and began counting those ballots without election monitors in the room," reported the New York Times.

“I want the defendants to know that my daughter and I are real people who deserve justice, and I never want them to do this to anyone else,” Freeman said in a statement.

Trump and his allies promoted claims, based on a misleadingly spliced segment of surveillance video that Moss, who still works for the Fulton County elections board, and her mother, a temporary employee during the 2020 election, had helped pull 18,000 fraudulent ballots from a suitcase and illegally fed them into the voting machines.

The false claims led to a flood of threats, which drove the elections workers into hiding.

An investigation by the Georgia secretary of state's office found the women did nothing wrong and were legally counting ballots.

"An investigation by the Georgia secretary of state's office found the women did nothing wrong and were legally counting ballots."

Yeah, did nothing wrong. Bahahaha..... What people like the leftist ideologues on this site just don't seem to realize is that there is little to separate the Republican Establishment from Democrats. That's a serious comment. And that's why the above article appeals to them. Watch what these politicians do when in office rather than what they say when running for office.

The Republican governors of Georgia and Arizona, along with their respective Lt. Governors and Secretaries of State, all have done their best to ensure that any recounts were either blocked or watered down to ridiculousness. Now, several think that they still have a career left in the Republican party and are/will be running for office again. Not a chance.

Proud Boy headed back to prison after being busted with illegal ‘ghost guns’ and silencers

A New York man who is a member of the right-wing Proud Boys group has been sentenced to 87 months in prison for unlawfully possessing firearms including “ghost guns,” and ammunition, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Defense.

Jonathan M. Cuney, 38, is described in the press release as a member of the Proud Boys since 2018. He has a prior conviction for gun trafficking of which he pled guilty to in 2015.

"In pleading guilty on June 22, 2021, Cuney also admitted that from at least August 2018 until November 12, 2019, he purchased firearms parts from several dozen online retailers, and had these items shipped to East Greenbush; Willits, California (where he maintained a residence); and Providence, Rhode Island (where he formerly maintained a legitimate firearms business)," the Defense Department's press release reads. "Cuney then used these firearms parts to manufacture non-serialized handguns and rifles, and silencers. These firearms are often called “ghost guns” because they do not have serial numbers, making them more difficult for law enforcement to track."

When the FBI searched Cuney's home, they found two rifles, one revolver, four serialized AR-15-style rifle receivers, two completed “ghost” guns, five pistol parts kits, two completed silencers and enough parts to build more than 10 silencers, as well as other firearms, parts, and accessories. More weapons were found in a storage unit he owned.

Separate reports say Cuny is former Marine Sergeant and a recipient of a Purple Heart received during the Battle of Fallujah in Iraq.

Yeah, violence hasn't yet begun, but we're still angry about 2020. Here's a little more about the Georgia Republican Secretary of State.
From five different articles on Brad Raffensperger:

Georgia Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger was placed into office in the Georgia House of Representatives in 2015 by a powerful network of Mandarin-speaking Chinese people in the United States of America. NATIONAL FILE has obtained video of Raffensperger speaking at an event with Mandarin-speaking Chinese people, begging the Chinese people to get him more than 100 votes to secure his victory in the election (which he ended up winning by 159 votes). A Mandarin-language newspaper that actively coordinates with United Front, a network controlled by the Chinese Communist Party, even explained the strategy to place Raffensperger into office by use of “absentee ballots” that could be obtained by one Chinese person and distributed to others. Raffensperger is trying to stop Communist China’s geopolitical foe President Donald Trump from gaining a proper accounting of the votes in the 2020 presidential election.

“In July 2019, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger selected Dominion Voting Systems to provide 30,000 voting machines. Documents from evaluations of the systems bidding to replace Georgia’s old system showed two other systems, ES&S and SNS, had scored higher on quality and security and had bid more than Dominion. Georgia had budgeted $150 million for a new system. Dominion bid $107 million. Raffensperger chose Dominion. “Every business person knows to be suspicious of the lowest bidder, here Dominion was the extreme low bidder for Georgia,” the Geller Report noted. The former chief of staff for Georgia Governor Brian Kemp was one of eight registered lobbyists for Dominion Voting Systems. Insiders say it was a “sure thing Dominion was in when we learned Thomas was involved.”

Left-wing groups bribed Georgians to vote in the January 5, 2021 runoff election with well over a hundred thousand dollars of free meals and other giveaways despite it being a clear violation of U.S. federal law. A local news report (11Alive) delved into the question in October during early voting. The secretary of state’s office confirmed that handing out free food to voters is illegal, but they “would not go on camera to discuss if it would be enforcing that code.” RAIR Foundation USA reached out to confirm that GA Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger‘s office will be enforcing federal law. No Response.

A Georgia voting integrity group that seeks to examine ballots cast in the 2020 election shouldn’t be granted access to the original ballots, the state’s secretary of state said in a new filing. “Giving plaintiffs in the court case access to the original ballots would violate recent updates to the Georgia Open Records Act,” Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said in an April 2 motion filed in Fulton County Superior Court.

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger must have finally realized that he doesn’t have a snowball’s chance for winning re-election. He is dead to the Georgia Republican Party. In fact, most insiders cannot believe he’s going to run. What he did to Georgia’s 2020 election is unforgivable. Maybe he had a great epiphany of his political demise and that’s why he is finally changing his tune about the audit results from his state’s election data, specifically the massive amount of voter fraud that was discovered in Fulton County.
Raffensperger took to social media to try to redeem himself. “Restoring confidence in our elections is going to be impossible as long as Fulton County’s elections leadership continues to fail the voters of Fulton County and the voters of Georgia. They need new leadership to step up and take charge.”
Restoring confidence in Georgia elections will be impossible until Executive branch people like him admit to enabling Democrats to cheat in the election.
The Secretary of State followed up with another tweet. “New revelations that Fulton County is unable to produce all ballot drop box transfer documents will be investigated thoroughly, as we have with other counties that failed to follow Georgia rules and regulations regarding drop boxes. This cannot continue.”"

These are all facts. You may interpret their cause differently than do I, but they're all facts. So yeah, Brad and all the other establishment Republicans involved in the 2020 election are great guys and gals.....as long as they work for the other team.

In the deepest parts of their souls, all politicians to one degree or another are narcissists and most are not stupid. How could he not know that what he did irreversibly damaged his political career as a Republican? Was he promised something? Money? Position as a lobbyist?

So let the untrustworthy bastard run now as a Democrat!

I don't read the National File. So I don't care if you claim that it is hyper-partisan. I GoogleMF'd it and it looked solid to me. If you feel that the claim is wrong, that NATIONAL FILE in fact does NOT have video of Raffensperger speaking at an event with Mandarin-speaking Chinese people, begging them to get him more votes, then say so. That's a legitimate challenge.

But Anon, you attacking the source and not the claim is, in itself, a sign that you've already lost the argument!

And no, I'm not looking it up. You are the one making these claims, is up to you to prove them.

If I'm correct above and by reformation, you meant reputation, then you have to add CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS to your list of irredeemables, along with the CBC and BBC. They're the ones who ran with the absurd Jusse Smollet story, who libeled Nick Sandman (CNN & Washington post have already settled...6 more to follow), who told us that Bubba Wallace was threatened with a noose and who defamed Kyle Rittenhouse as a white supremacist. They're the ones who tell us things like only the poor become soldiers, allowing this false meme to characterize the military as exploitative. Or like in 2004, when MSNBC ran the headlines – Natural Disasters Create Jobs. Yet in 2011, the same media org told us that Natural Disasters Wipe Out Jobs. This last is a perfect example of how the media that you like characterizes the same news as bad for Republicans but good for Democrats.

      I'd go on, but...

As regards someone needing to prove their claims, you do yours first. I'm using your techniques here – posting long articles, but leaving it up to my opponents to spend their time proving me wrong. You don't get to post a story, and just assume we'll believe it – especially when it's an opinion piece – then tell me that it's different for me, that I have to prove a part of mine. Like I said, this is your technique – you prove it wrong. So yeah, look it up. And if you do, and I'm wrong, then I'll admit my mistake.

By the way, please point me to all the posts you've made demanding that Representative Adam “Pencil-Neck” Schiff prove all of his years of claims to have seen information regarding Trump and Russia Collusion. I don't think you can, yet you've had years to note that he's never been forthcoming.

Fact check: Georgia 'suitcase' video is missing context

While some might find the actions of the workers at first confusing, the practice of storing ballots on-site is not unusual for poll workers, especially as ballots are being continuously tabulated over long hours. Election officials in the state have found no wrongdoing.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...ia-suitcase-video-missing-context/3892640001/

Video Doesn’t Show ‘Suitcases’ of Illegal Ballots in Georgia

    https://www.factcheck.org/2020/12/video-doesnt-show-suitcases-of-illegal-ballots-in-georgia/

Surveillance tape breeds false fraud claims in Georgia

The video showed regular ballot containers on wheels — not suitcases — and both a state investigator and an independent monitor observed counting until it was done for the night, finding no evidence of improper ballots, state and county officials said on Friday.

THE FACTS: The video doesn’t show evidence of fraud, much less the “SMOKING GUN” evidence that Trump’s legal team claims on social media.

No one told observers they had to leave, and both an independent monitor and an investigator oversaw the vote count, according to state and county officials. Confusion arose when election workers thought they were done for the night, but then were instructed to continue scanning ballots. But investigators who reviewed the entire surveillance tape confirmed it showed “normal ballot processing,” according to Gabriel Sterling, a top official in the secretary of state’s office.

The video, which shows clips of surveillance footage from a room where ballots were counted, began gaining traction online on Thursday after volunteer Trump attorney Jackie Pick presented it for state senators during a hearing at the state Capitol.

Pick claimed it showed a staff member telling partisan observers to leave the facility for the night about 10:30 p.m. After observers were “cleared out,” she said, four election workers stayed behind, pulled suitcases of ballots out from underneath a table, and counted them for two hours with no witnesses present.

Fulton County Elections Director Richard Barron refuted those claims on Friday, saying in a public meeting that no observers were ever told to leave the facility.

According to Barron, staff members who had been opening and flattening ballots for scanning started leaving the facility as their duties concluded.

Other election workers started to pack up, Sterling told The Associated Press in an interview. They put prepared ballots back in boxes and away under a table “to close out for the night.” Members of the media and Republican observers began to leave the building too.

Then, the supervisor onsite got a call from Barron, who instructed the team to continue scanning the ballots that had already been prepared. They pulled the same boxes of ballots back out, and resumed scanning, Sterling said.

“These aren’t magical ballots,” Sterling told the AP. “They didn’t show up out of some other room.”

Georgia law § 21-2-408 permits observers to stay in the room the whole time, but doesn’t require it for counting to take place.

After a short period when observers weren’t present, an independent state election board monitor arrived to oversee the scanning at 11:52 p.m., Barron said. A state investigator arrived at 12:15 a.m. Both individuals remained at the facility until the count concluded for the night, he said.

The Georgia secretary of state’s office said it was aware of the late-night counting, and confirmed that both its investigator and an independent monitor observed scanning “until it was halted for the night.”

The office said it had launched an investigation into why partisan poll observers left before scanning ended.

The president’s team is “intentionally misleading the public about what happened at State Farm Arena on election night,” Sterling tweeted Friday. “They had the whole video too and ignored the truth.”

Video footage from Georgia shows suitcases filled with ballots pulled from under a table and illegally counted after election observers were told to leave.

No, Georgia election workers didn’t kick out observers and illegally count ‘suitcases’ of ballots

    Our ruling
Social media posts claim that video from Georgia shows suitcases filled with ballots pulled from under a table and illegally counted after election observers were told to leave. That’s wrong.

State officials have said there was no suitcase, no instruction to leave, and no illegal counting of ballots. The video does not prove that the bins shown contained fraudulent ballots, either.

We rate these Facebook posts False.

Geez stumbler, you already know what I think of the mainstream press and leftist fact-checkers. I guess that article also explains these three, on the video and despite your denials, running the same ballots through poll machines two or three times. And just packing the ballots away for the night under the table, before the counting had been completed? Snort.

MAGA conspiracy theorist calls for mass hangings of US senators: 'The gallows are getting wider'

    Matthew Chapman

    Joe Oltmann (YouTube).

On Friday, far-right activist Joe Oltmann called for the mass hanging of U.S. senators who, in his view, are "traitors" to the country — including Republicans who voted to avert a government shutdown this week.

"There's your list of 19 traitors to the American People, along with all the other traitors to the American people," said Oltmann on the Conservative Daily podcast. "I want people to go out there and get some wood. The gallows are getting wider and longer. We should be able to build gallows all the way from Washington, D.C. to California."

Oltmann, based in Colorado, is the leader of FEC United, a right-wing group that has its own militia. He has frequently peddled in violent and extremist rhetoric, asserting that he "sees a war coming."

He is also a purveyor of conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election, and claimed in an email with embattled pro-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell that "several" Colorado clerks loyal to Trump have "infiltrated" voting machines in the state to try to confirm that the election was stolen.

He is currently being sued by a former worker of Dominion Voting Systems, a common target of far-right conspiracy theories, whom he claimed was on an "Antifa conference call" promising that the voting machines would not allow Trump to win.

So @Spunktribute you might check the facts of your assertion, mainly that "far right bullshit" is the basis for so much that is wrong in America.
Care for others? You bet. Did you see who created and howled over the naked statue of Trump, but piss and moan over "lets go Brandon"?
Did you follow the propaganda about Trumps "tax cuts for the rich" that were in fact tax increases for the rich, until the despicables raised the deduction caps to give themselves a huge tax cut?
    Selfish preferences?
Would you be referring to the vaccine debate? Maybe the 2nd amendment debate. Or the issues surrounding the 1st?
You see, if you understand the Constitution and the amendments, and the reason why America has these particular documents, you'd understand that Americans don't give up their freedoms. Not for God, not for a moment, and for damn sure, not for despicables who have forgotten.

Trump actually started recruiting his domestic terrorists the day he came down the escalator and launched his racist attacks on Mexicans. He knew far right extremists would just love that. Then he really boosted recruitment at Charlottesville with his fine people. Trump continued to build his army of domestic terrorists embracing QAnon the Proud Boys and other far right extremists he told to stand back and stand by. And then he called his domestic terrorists into action with a deadly insurrection and attempted coup to try and overthrow the government of the United States of America and make himself dictator for life. And when that failed Trump continues to recruit and is trying to sic his domestic terrorists on the rest of the country. Just like Hitler did in Germany.

Trump has raised an army of 21 million ‘committed insurrectionists’ — and they crave bloodshed

Donald Trump has convinced tens of millions of Americans that the White House was stolen from him, and a significant number of them are ready to use violence to take back what he lost.

Nearly 70 percent of all Republicans believe the election was stolen from Trump, according to recent polls, but researchers found that 4 percent of Americans, or about 10 million adults, agreed that violent protest was worth the risk -- but that number doubled when they were asked whether violence was justified to return Trump to the presidency, reported The Atlantic.

“This really is a new, politically violent mass movement,” said researcher Robert Pape, who studies political violence. “This is collective political violence.”

Poll respondents are usually reluctant to explicitly endorse violence, but Pape's team found that Trump supporters seemed to prefer harsher language -- and the researchers found 8 percent, or 21 million adults, who they called "committed insurrectionists" who believed violence was justified to remove Joe Biden from the presidency.

“It’s the community’s support that is creating a mantle of legitimacy — a mandate, if you would, that justifies the violence," Pape said. “I’m very concerned it could happen again, because what we’re seeing in our surveys … is 21 million people in the United States who are essentially a mass of kindling or a mass of dry wood that, if married to a spark, could in fact ignite.”

    Ah. Shooter gets it.
When a deplorable recruits supporters, we are told they are racists, white supremacists, criminals and vermin.
When a despicable recruits supporters, we are told they are hard working families, patriots, and loving adults.

Another difference we learn is in what is used for incentive.
When a deplorable appeals to us to support them, we are told that our savior will protect us from government overreach, corrupt officials and unreasonable taxation.
When a despicable appeals to us to support them, we are bribed with free shit someone else will be forced to pay for.

    Everything else is just propaganda.

Trump trained his MAGA base ‘to view reality as the crisis and violence as the solution’: report

Donald Trump has brainwashed his "Make America Great Again" base into rejecting reality and endorsing political violence, according to a new analysis published by The Washington Post.

Trump has continued to push his "Big Lie" of election fraud that incited the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

"Likewise, the crooked and highly partisan Unselect Committee of political hacks looking into the January 6th protest of the Election should spend their time studying the Election Fraud of 2020, also known as the Crime of Century," Trump said in a statement released Saturday.

Later that day, Trump tried to allege there was "massive election fraud," but awkwardly used a double negative that suggested he thinks he is "either very stupid or very corrupt."

"Trump’s assertions about the election are some mix of self-care and delusion. He wants to believe he didn’t lose the election he lost, casting his behavior over the past 12 months with the sort of pathos that was obvious to outside observers in his speech at Mar-a-Lago. But he seems also to have convinced himself that maybe something did go wrong somewhere, which allows him to believe that his reaction isn’t solely about his ego. A former White House staffer told CNN last month that Trump at first knew Biden had won but then readily allowed himself to be convinced otherwise," Philip Bump wrote for The Post.

Bump noted a new bombshell report on how Trump raised an army of 21 million "committed insurrectionists."

"In a lengthy article for the Atlantic, Barton Gellman outlines how Trump’s delusion has swelled to encompass much of his party.
Gellman staked out an important position on Trump’s willingness to subvert the election when he wrote an article for that magazine shortly before the 2020 contest in which he outlined a number of the paths Trump eventually explored for trying to wrench a victory from his loss. Now, he writes that Trump and his allies are both unchastened from the aftermath of the election and preparing to do better next time," Bump reported.

"At no point in time has Trump expressed any serious concern about the risk of right-wing political violence centered on the 2020 election. Even on Jan. 6, he patted the rioters on the head as he encouraged them to go home in one of his last social media posts before Twitter and Facebook decided that the risk he might foment more violence outweighed the value of extending him a platform. The riot on Jan. 6 was always inextricably downstream from Trump’s rhetoric and calls to action. Trump roused the rabble and then cheered the result," he explained. "The point is not that this all happened. It’s that it is happening. That, 11 months after the riot, Trump is saying the same things to the same people and getting a warm response. That he’s there at Mar-a-Lago making the same increasingly ludicrous claims to the same people in the same bubble even as he mulls a 2024 run and makes moves to continue to reshape the GOP. That’s the point."

Bump noted Trump's absurd delusion that the insurrection actually took place on election day, when voters chose Joe Biden.

"It’s self-serving nonsense, in the way that so much of what Trump says is. But it’s also an encouragement, yet again, to view reality as the crisis and violence as the solution," he wrote.

Wannabe Bomber Gets Zero Jail Time for Planting Homemade Explosives During BLM Protests

Pennsylvania man who admitted to leaving a bag of homemade bombs in downtown Pittsburgh during the 2020 protests against the death of George Floyd won’t spend a day behind bars. Matthew Michanowicz, 53, was sentenced to time served and three years of probation by a judge on Monday. The first six months of his sentence will be served under home detention.

Michanowicz, who was called an “agitator” intent on violence by a former federal prosecutor, pleaded guilty to possession of an unregistered destructive device following a grand jury indictment in June 2020. A prosecutor at his trial argued Michanowicz should receive between 30 and 37 months in prison on the basis that his devices could have killed or seriously injured people.

Michanowicz was captured on surveillance footage biking to a protest site and planting a backpack there on May 31, 2020. A day later, officers summoned to respond to the suspicious bag found three explosive devices. Authorities later said the devices were spent pepper spray grenades with wicks held in place by foam spray insulation, filled with gasoline and capable of causing death. Investigators who later searched Michanowicz’s home found 10 more backpacks similar to the one he had planted.

CIA Assassins Attack US Air Force Plane Carrying ANTIFA Terrorist Leaders

By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Western Subscribers

A mind-blowing highly-classified “Of Special Importance” new Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) report circulating in the Kremlin today, and appearing to provide a reason why riot and looting activities suddenly ceased in the United States this past week, says that at approximately 18:20 GMT +3 on 8 June in Baghdad-Iraq (6:20 pm local time), a team of Special Activities Center (SAC) commando-assassins from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) attacked and caused to crash a C-130 Hercules cargo plane belonging to the US Air Force as it was landing with 7 crew members and 26 passengers—a fiery crash the “official cover story” claims was caused when this plane crashed into a wall while landing—an official cover story disputed by the SVR that tracked this plane after it departed from the Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) military facility located in San Antonio-Texas, traveled to Kuwait and then attempted land in Baghdad—an SVR that was also tracking the movement of these CIA commando-assassins, who arrived at Joint Base San Antonio a few hours after this C-130 Hercules departed from there—and shortly after arriving, saw US Army intelligence operative Jared Esquibel Harless from the 470th Military Intelligence Brigade at Joint Base San Antonio being discovered dead along with his wife and four children at their home that was rigged to explode—an unmistakable “message massacre” that after which saw these CIA commando-assassins breaking into two teams—the one that flew to attack the C-130 cargo plane the SVR believes was carrying escaping ANTIFA terrorist leaders, and the other flying to California—where they tracked down, wounded in a gun battle and captured US Air Force Staff Sergeant Steven Carrillo, who is a member of the elite US Air Force Phoenix Raven Security Unit (aka “The Murder Crew”), of which there are only 150 members—was a gun battle that saw Sergeant Carrillo killing a California police officer and wounding two others while using explosives—with Sergeant Carrillo further being linked to the assassination of US federal officer David Underwood, who died in a hail of bullets fired at him on 25 May when ANTIFA rioting broke out in Oakland-California—and when captured, Sergeant Carrillo was caught on police radio broadcasts saying: “This is what I came to fight…I’m sick of these goddamn police”. Telling you, this outlet is funnier than that Bee thingy we see posted sometimes.

One report said Hillary Clinton's garden hose was the reason she lost in 2016.

I like Chinese people. I admire their high average IQ's and the prosperity it earns for them. I appreciate their low races of crime and illegitimacy. Orientals are the model minority.

I thought it was her pant suits and the sound of her voice. Hillary Clinton reminded many Americans of an elementary school teacher who made them stay after school. Nevertheless, I like her, and I voted for her.

@Distant Lover: I've been reading your posts and trying to figure you out. What you say about the Chinese (East Asians) obviously relates to your comments about the value of others (ending with Bushmen and Aborigines). I would assume you're also a believer in NLP?

You seem hyper-rational (almost to the point of lacking empathy) and intelligent, and clearly avoid engaging in most of the food fights here. Yet you say you both liked and voted for Hillary. Would you take a moment and explain what, to me, seems like an obvious disconnect in that. I am not speaking of emotions (the visual of her pantsuits or sound of her voice), but what actual policies did she propose (Hillarycare, for example), and which values does she embody, that make you feel this way? Thanks.
