Personally, I love the French people, love the language, love the food, love the wine, love the history and culture, and Americans ought to just GET OVER IT!

Look, they invented the French kiss, the menage a trois, and the soixante-neuf. What did Americans ever contribute to the joy of sex?

 

I’ve been on holiday to France many times the only people I have ever had a problem with are the Parisians (arrogant Bastards) and my knowledge of the French language stops a please and thank you

What the French will not alter is the EU common agricultural policy (designed to protect inefficient French farmers) this is a major cause of third world poverty as they cannot export ther produce to the EU in competition with EU farmers

 

I agree, plus all American don't hate the French just white americans, African americans were accepted of the French decades before the civil rights movement and still are.

 

I think what we are forgetting here is that we are talking about Nations and not individuals national policy is usually nothing to do with the man in the street

And the French only helped the American rebels because it suited the own needs and ends it wasn’t done out of the goodness of their hearts

After all you yanks wanted until we English had made the colonies safe by kicking out the French before you rebelled against having to pay for the war

 

And it didn't suit the American own needs when they helped the French as well as Great Britian in WW2 cause it wasn't done out of the goodness of our hearts either.

We Brits have hated them for centuries and, as an upholder of Great British Traditions, this is one I'm happy to continue
