I have discussed this in many places on the forum, I don't expect all of the interested people to have seen my discourses, since they were all answers to some similar things or like What are you?
or Are you a man or a woman?

So again:

I am a transgendered woman, also known as Tgirls, trannies, shemales, ladyboys(asian only), trans, transexual.

Basically we are people who have female brains but male genitals. In my case my body also has many female characteristics. The prescribed protocol to have an SRS, sexual reassignment surgery, is to live as a woman (for male to females) for one or two years full time. The day you discover your true gender, is called your Epiphany. In my case that was the day I started living full time as the woman I am, July 2, 2007.

Many of us know it as soon as we can talk, the Barbara Walters show, the Larry King show, and others have had many of the young trannies on there. It is important to start estrogen therapy before puberty to avoid the male features like facial hair you would have to deal with later, and also to encourage breast growth.

I am betting I am the oldest person to ever discover my true gender. I have submitted the claim to Guinness World Book of Records.
My name is now legally Lainie, and my gender is legally female now.

We aren't gay guys, we aren't male crossdressers, or transvestites.
We know that our true selves are female, not male. We are women trapped in a man's body. This is now recognized throughout the world. There are pre-ops, who have not had the srs surgery, and post-ops who have had it. Most post-ops simply blend into the population as women.

Like non-trans, trans can be hetero, bi or gay or lesbian, the sexual orientation (preference) doesn't change because you had your epiphany. So I am officially a lesbian, but who knows, I could possibly become bi. But in general I have never liked men at all, except for a few individuals. I have always totally rejected the male world view and lifestyle, even while living as one. I was never happy with the way I looked but didn't understand some of things i experienced until after my change. I have never been so happy with myself in my life. It is like a continual high.

Wherever I go, I am a woman. Since I have had 6 years of going to the Suncoast as a man, then changed before their very eyes, every one who works there knows I am trans. But they always treat me like a lady, actually more like royalty.

I am always dressed like other women, except I don't crossdress and wear pants, except my girls jeans occasionally and my girls shorts, in the summer. I much prefer skirts or dresses.

Now as to my kids, (I only have one grandchild who is 8 now, and who I haven't seen since he was 2.) they accept my change in gender, but I don't know if they understand it, or think I am just a male crossdresser. They still call me Dad. I told them this has to be weird, someone asks you, who is your Dad, and they reply, she lives in las vegas and her name is Lainie. I sign my emails Dad or Dad Lainie. I know one tgirl whose kids now call her Mom.

There are couples that were married before the husband changed gender and they are still together as man and wife, but use the term partner rather than husband. Other transfolk are not so lucky and lose their wives and kids and parents. I know some of them too. It hurts.

Then there is the hate preached by the LDS cult/church against anyone who isn't "straight". Not to mention the 440 of us who have been killed in hate crimes.

So I have really had it easier than any of the others I know. I only lost my ex-wife. I am in a feminine enough body to be fully accepted. Actually I can't see anything that hormone therapy would do for me except hopefully grow my breasts faster. But they are still growing due to the phyto-estrogen, Fenugreek, that I take daily. My breasts started growing of their own accord about 3 years ago.

I was totally clueless in spite of all the clues I now realize looking back regarding the fact that I am really a female not a male person.
My ex said she saw it coming, my exgf said she saw it coming, and I didn't. Looks like I was the last one to know.

I reposted this since I have so many young people or uninformed people who ask me about this subject.

That really is a loaded question......For a tgirl, there are two levels the physical and the mental. Mentally she is a woman, and he a guy so its heterosexual, and he is straight. Physically it is gay sex, doesn't necessarily mean he is gay, after all to all intents and purposes that is a woman who just happens to have (love that phrase) a cock.

Tgirl to Tgirl: mentally Lesbian, physically male gay.

Tgirl to Woman: mentally Lesbian, physically heterosexual.

To the Tgirls it is the mental level that counts, but you have to work with the equipment you have, no choice.

I am glad you asked this because It is a very confusing matter to the ones who aren't tgirls or tmen. I explained this once before in a sort of two line thing but when it posted everything was scrambled so it didn't make any sense, even to me.

To me that's it, my brain (perhaps too small) cannot comprehend this idea of one sex's brain in the other sex's body. I'm sure there must be a lot of anguish for those who've been stuck in that situation.

It is something I will never know, and despite my efforts probably will never get my head around. Alas, this does not mean I'm not accepting of transgendered people - I don't believe gender affliation or sexuality to be much to measure someone by and to me transgendered people shouldn't be treated differently to anyone else just because they are different.
But I wonder how many other people out there find 'Tgirls' and the like to be an enigma?

There are a few new practices on here that really annoy me like the pics posted with every post by some of the nefwbies, then some of the older members started doing it too.
