I would like to say that I would never say something like what Chris Rock said to anyone.

I prefer to make fun of people the proper way, behind their back when they are not around to hear me....

 

Rock was hired to host the awards.
Roasting members of the audience might have been the idea, but he took it from funny to rude.
And that got him smacked.
No one else should have had to bother with it, that is Smith's right, and Shooter thinks, his obligation.

Someone has to de-escalate a violent situation... Regardless of your feelings leading up to the assault, do you agree with the way Chris Rock handled it?

How about Wil's profane rant when he went back to his seat?

 

Eh...what the fuck...the political hate jokes have gone by the wayside...run the course it has, at least for the next three years anyhow...now we need to see more black on black violence at the Fucking Emmy's...and by the way, only 16 million viewed that stupid ass bullshit, the second least viewed...as I hear it told....I wasn't one of them there 16 million.

 

Rock had nothing to "handle".
He was rude.
He got smacked.
Done.
If Rock had wanted to go for another round, Smith would have, should have, could have been fully justified and knocked him the fuck out.

And Smith simply explained to Rock the problem.

OK, perhaps so... However, nowadays the violence has gotten out of control and after the smacking starts, someone usually pull out a gun and starts shooting...

Verbal and physical altercations often prelude gun violence.

I have seen it happen.

 

Politics has been a little slow the last few days. I think we need to romance the general, because something not right. He's not been as active lately....

 

And if we had a few more people intolerant of rude behavior it wouldn't be so likely to escelate to gun play.

 

Okay... so I'm learning more about vacuous celebrities than I ever wanted to know (Sorry - I don't watch TMZ). What I'm hearing (I don't know the real truth) is that Jada cheated on Will - I do remember something about them splitting up a while ago - but apparently, somewhere along the line they (not sure if it was Will or Jada) said they had an Open Marriage.

I don't know how much of this is really true, but if it is, it makes Will Smith look like a desperate cuckolded wimp trying to hang on to a cheating wife - and willing to embarrass himself in front of the world to retain the favor of a woman who is not worth it.

Not sure if this is right, because before 'The Slap' I didn't give a fuck about these people or their lives.

 

He always cowers to the corner when he gets his hand slapped with the ruler.

Will Smith Slammed for Mocking Bald Man in Old Footage

Actor Will Smith is being slammed after old footage resurfaced of the actor mocking a bald man. The footage has resurfaced after Smith smacked comedian Chris Rock in the face for making a joke about his wife’s short hair at the Oscars on Sunday night.

“He gotta wax his head every morning,” Smith can be heard saying in footage from a 1991 appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show, pointing to bald bassist John Williams.


“Ah, these are jokes, come on” the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star added in response to the audience’s awkward laughter.

In the wake of Smith hitting Rock on Sunday night over a hair-loss related joke, the video is now circulating on social media, with one Twitter user commenting, “One reason I love the internet, it never forgets.”

“God bless the internet,” another Twitter user wrote.

“One rule for me, another for thee. Will Smith is fucking pathetic,” another tweeted.

“This is actually worse than the G.I Jane joke,” another Twitter user commented.

Smith is being branded a “hypocrite” by social media users, as the video has resurfaced following the actor’s attack against Rock, who called his wife Jada Pinkett Smith “G.I. Jane” in reference to her short hair, which she has due to alopecia.

It remains unclear if Rock knew about her condition when he made the joke.

Nonetheless, Smith got out of his seat, marched onto the stage, and struck Rock in the face, leaving audience members and viewers shocked. The actor then twice shouted, “Keep my wife’s name out your fucking mouth” after retaking his seat in the audience.

Later, while giving his acceptance speech after winning Best Actor for his performance as Venus and Serena’s father in King Richard, Smith apologized to the Academy Awards and to all of his “fellow nominees” for his actions — but refrained from mentioning Rock in his apology.

The actor was slammed for his behavior, even by many in Hollywood, who also called for Smith to apologize to Rock.

On Monday night, Smith took to social media to apologize yet again, this time, including the comedian in his statement.

“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris,” the actor said. “I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.”
