The reason treasonous conservative/America Hating/ Republicans cannot be trusted with assault weapons is because they scream Constitutional Rights but they don't even obey the Constitution. They are constantly waving those assault around in our face because they lost an election. And as a bonafide liberal I am getting just really fucking sick and tired of that.

And no I do not intend to get in a shootout with you even though you might be surprised. But if you are using those guns to try and threaten and intimidate the rest of us than you have no business possessing guns and belong in jail. And I want to see laws passed to that effect. There is not Constitutional Right to threaten the rest of us.


Slain Judge John Roemer Was on Hit List With Mitch McConnell, Gretchen Whitmer, More

Former Wisconsin judge John Roemer was named as the victim killed in a Friday attack by a man with a hit list reportedly “related to the judicial system.”

Law enforcement officials confirmed to The Daily Beast that Roemer, 68, was found zip-tied to a chair and fatally shot at his home in New Lisbon, Wisconsin around 10:17 a.m. on Friday.

The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office were responding to reports of gunshots in the area at around 6:30 a.m. and found an unidentified male walking around inside Roemer’s house who they attempted to negotiate with. When that was unsuccessful they entered the home and found a 56-year-old man in the basement with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital and is in a critical condition.

The murder was reportedly a targeted act, with police finding a hit list that included Roemer as well as a handful of other influential government officials like Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers.

The investigation underway is being handled as a homicide as well as a potential domestic terrorism case.

“This does appear to be a targeted act, and the individual who’s a suspect appears to have had other targets as well, it appears to be related to the judicial system,” Attorney General Josh Kaul told reporters on Friday afternoon.

Kaul said that all people named on the hit list have been informed.

Donna Voss, one of the late Roemer’s next door neighbors, woke up Friday morning to police cars camped outside of their houses.

“My husband and I, we were going to go down the street to our garage sale,” Voss told local Madison reporters. “Next thing I know I got a call from Juneau County Police saying we need to stay in the house, lock all the doors.”

Though Voss doesn’t remember speaking to Roemer all that often, she does say he was “a really nice guy.” The neighbors would stop to chat as the judge “mowed his yard or walked his dogs.”

“We’d stop and talk and that was about it,” she said, mourning the judge.

Tragically, Roemer’s wife and one of his sons also recently passed away. His other two sons lived with him in Wisconsin, Voss told reporters. One of his sons might have been a witness to the fatal shooting, ABC reports.

'We'll fight and we'll die': C-SPAN caller raring to 'do away with government' for guns

A Republican caller suggested to C-SPAN that he was ready to "fight" and "die" in an insurrection against the government to protect his right to own firearms.

A caller named Gene told C-SPAN's Washington Journal that the Second Amendment was intended to protect citizens from a tyrannical government.

"Let's get it straight," he said. "The Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting or sports shooting. The Second Amendment is for the people, to protect themselves against a tyrannical government. And if you think that the guns the government has will overwhelm anything that the population has, you're probably right to a degree."

"But we'll fight and we'll die," he continued. "Exactly what we've done in the past. Because we will not be subjugated by a tyrannical government. Period. And there's many of us, many millions and we are not going to let anything come between us and the Second Amendment."

The Republican caller added: "We will do away with the government itself on our own in Washington if they try to take away our Second Amendment."

Far-right gun group warns supporters to prepare for 'battle' at the US Capitol if gun compromise passes

On Monday, the far-right American Firearms Association sent a call to action to supporters urging them to do everything in their power to stop an emerging compromise on gun safety that appears to be taking shape in the Senate — including, potentially, engaging in a "battle" "all over the Capitol complex."

The fundraising email, flagged by Jennifer Bendery of the Huffington Post, claims that "we fully expect our systems to be attacked by nefarious, left-wing actors who want to shut our systems down."

"Our federal legislative team believes that because of the enormity of the battle this week in DC, there will be thousands or even tens of thousands of Bloomberg-funded, red shirt radical, commie mommies all over the Capitol complex," continued the email, an apparent reference to the gun-safety activist group Moms Demand Action. "This is their Super Bowl. You and I should be looking at this battle in exactly the same way."

The compromise legislation being crafted in the wake of the Uvalde, Texas school shooting, being brokered by Republican and Democratic senators, has not taken any public shape yet.

However, sources indicate that the bill is likely to be a narrow measure that could add more data to federal background checks, encourage more states to adopt "red-flag laws" to confiscate guns from mentally unstable people, and strengthen funding for mental health programs.

More ambitious proposals like making background checks apply to private sales, or raising the age to purchase semiautomatic rifles, do not appear to be part of the discussion at this time.

COEUR D’ALENE, ID. — Thirty-one people affiliated with the white nationalist group “Patriot Front” were arrested in downtown Coeur d’Alene Saturday.

Coeur d’Alene Police Chief Lee White said all 31 people are being charged with conspiracy to riot, which is a misdemeanor charge in Idaho. Police believe they were headed to riot at the Pride Festival.


White said they were alerted to the group thanks to an alert citizen who “saw something” and reported it. He said they developed probable cause to arrest those involved based on the gear they had. He said they were equipped with shields and other riot gear.

Police are still working to book all of those involved into jail but said those arrested traveled to North Idaho from Texas, Utah, Colorado, South Dakota, Illinois, Arkansas, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon and Virginia. One person was from Idaho.

White said they were all in matching khakis, shirts and hats, some of which had Patriot Front insignias on them.

The Coeur d’Alene Police Department worked with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and FBI to make the arrests. Despite a nearly full jail, Kootenai County Sheriff Robert Norris said they will “find the room for these 31 people.”

Those arrested will make their first appearance in court on Monday.

Authorities arrested 31 members of the white supremacist group Patriot Front near an Idaho pride event Saturday after they were found packed into the back of a U-Haul truck with riot gear.

The men were standing inside the truck wearing khakis, navy blue shirts and beige hats with white balaclavas covering their faces when Coeur d'Alene police stopped the U-Haul and began arresting them on the side of the road.

“They came to riot downtown,” Coeur d’Alene Police Chief Lee White said at a news conference.

All 31 were charged with conspiracy to riot, a misdemeanor, White said. The men were going through the booking process Saturday afternoon and are scheduled to be arraigned Monday, he said.

Based on documents and other evidence collected, authorities found that the group was planning to riot in several areas of downtown, not just the park, White said.

Police found riot gear, one smoke grenade, shin guards and shields inside the van, White said. Those arrested wore arm patches and logos on their hats that identified them as members of Patriot Front, he said.

Police learned about the U-Haul from a tipster, who reported that “it looked like a little army was loading up into the vehicle” in the parking lot of a hotel, White said. Officials spotted the truck soon after and pulled it over, he said.

Videos of the arrest posted on social media show the men kneeling on the grass with their hands zip-tied behind their backs.

“Reclaim America” was written on the back of one shirt.

Police led the men, one by one, to the front of patrol cars, took off their masks and then brought them to a police van.

Those arrested came from at least 11 states, including Washington, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Colorado, South Dakota, Illinois, Wyoming, Virginia and Arkansas, White said.

Only one was from Idaho, he said.

The truck was stopped near where the North Idaho Pride Alliance was holding the Coeur d’Alene Pride in the Park event. Police had stepped up their presence in the area during the event.

“It appears these people did not come here to engage in peaceful events,” Kootenai County Sheriff Bob Norris told a Coeur d’Alene Press reporter.

Patriot Front is described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as “a white nationalist hate group” that formed after the deadly “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Va., in 2017.

“Patriot Front focuses on theatrical rhetoric and activism that can be easily distributed as propaganda for its chapters across the country,” the Southern Poverty Law Center said of the group.

The group's manifesto calls for the formation of a white ethno-state in the United States, the Southern Poverty Law Center said.

A San Francisco library's drag queen story time was attacked by men purporting to be affiliated with the Proud Boys militia.

SFGate reported over the weekend that as LGBTQ+ pride takes place around the country, one of those events turned into a homophobic and transphobic attack.

Police told the site that Panda Dulce, a local drag performer, was reading at the San Lorenzo Library when "a group of 8-10 Proud Boys" came into the room shouting and threatening those there. They wrote that the group was forced to leave, and that Panda Dulce was forced to hide in a back office with a security guard.

Drag queen story hour is a program with performers who come to the library in full regalia and read children's books to youth, the group's site explained. The stories are typically ones that talk about being different and being accepted. The goal is to help children understand that they can dress and act however they want and still be loved and accepted by those around them. Kids are urged to look beyond gender stereotypes where only women can wear dresses and men wear pants.

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the attack, saying that they were dispatched to the library around 1:30 p.m., and there were five men "described as members of the Proud Boys organization." The report noted that the men were "described as extremely aggressive with a threatening violent demeanor causing people to fear for their safety." Police didn't confirm if the men were officially with the national Proud Boys group or if they merely claimed to be.

They did say that there is an "active hate crime investigation is underway, as is an investigation into the annoying and harassing of children."

“They got right in our faces. They jeered. They attempted to escalate to violence,” Dulce wrote on social media. They said that the men "totally freaked out all of the kids."

ABC7 News said that no arrests have been made yet.

On Monday, The Daily Beast reported that the police department in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho is being bombarded with angry messages — including death threats — after a high profile mass arrest of the members of the white supremacist group Patriot Front.

The arrests took place over the weekend, after 31 men were caught piled into a rented truck, on their way to a local Pride event where they allegedly were intending to cause a riot. The arrested white supremacists came from at least 11 states around the country, and included 23-year-old Thomas Ryan Rousseau of Grapevine, Texas, believed to be the group's leader.

"Police Chief Lee White said Monday the department had received 149 phone calls since the arrests, some of which have included death threats," reported Alice Tecotzky. "About half of the calls were complimentary, White told reporters, 'and the other 50 percent — who are completely anonymous, who want nothing more than to scream and yell at us and use some really choice words — offer death threats against myself and other members of the police department.' Some callers have threatened to publish officers’ personal information, such as their phone numbers or addressed, online."

According to Nick Martin of the independent hate group tracker The Informant, white supremacist activists are already zeroing on on the Coeur d'Alene police department as a target after the arrests took place.

"Neo-Nazis on other social media platforms have started doxxing members of law enforcement in Coeur d'Alene. Names, home addresses, phone numbers and photos are being circulated," wrote Martin. "One of the members of the Coeur d'Alene Police Department is being described by neo-Nazis as an 'Anti-American and Pedophile Apologist' because the arrests prevented the Patriot Front members from allegedly planning to disrupt a Pride event."

Coeur d'Alene, a town in the Idaho panhandle near Spokane, Washington, is part of a region that has become a notorious hotbed for right-wing paramilitary extremists.
