It is not the taking of a life, it's the prevention of conception....which is what we have contraception for.....and yes, sterilization in a form of contraception....but who was the right to force it on anyone because they have a bee in their bonnet with regards some members of society?

You know, tenguy, liberals may indeed be sentimental, but conservatives would appear to have a serious problem with reading comprehension. My point in saying that was that the author you cited erroneously conflated liberalism with socialism. I therefore raised an equally erroneous conflation of conservatism and fascism, as a way of illustrating how mindless your author was.

No purpose at all. In fact on another thread I already told tenguy that you could just switch the words conservative and liberal around in the article he posted and it would not make any difference in the article at all.

Its easy to just criticize something or someone. In fact its all too easy and all too human. But it doesn't solve anything. Especially when there are no simple answers to really complex problems. This thread is a perfect example of that.

No there are just complex answers to simple problems. Try to take one thing, just a facet of the problem, fix it then go to the next little facet. There is not one answer for everything, but there is a series of answers for almost everything.

The problem you get into, is you see something as a whole bunch of stickies that become confused as a single entity. Try breaking them down into managable pieces then attack them individually. That is what I think is needed.
