Trump is toxic? Is that all. The man was willing to overturn a free and fair election and the Repukes enabled and supported it. Oh he's hanging on alright and will hopefully continue to be an albatross around the repuke party for years to come.

So let's just sit back and watch the Trump/repuke shit show go on.

As one GOP operative put it what's to worry if treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans turn their backs on Trump? Its not like he's vindictive or anything and would try to burn the party down for revenge. Or start his own party.

Oh yeah this is the guy treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans want for president again. And notice he's talking mostly about Black and Brown people of course. But the biggest drug dealers on earth and the ones who actually created the opioid crises in the first place are the pharmaceutical companies. Do you think he would be in favor of executing them?

Donald Trump's New Applause Line Is Pure Authoritarianism
    Arthur Delaney, Kevin Robillard
    Wed, November 16, 2022 at 1:54 PM

Former President Donald Trump has made executing drug dealers a central part of his messaging in recent months, embracing a favorite tactic of authoritarian regimes and placing it center stage as he launches his third run for the presidency.

“We are going to be asking everyone who sells drugs, gets caught selling drugs, to receive the death penalty for their heinous acts,” Trump said Tuesday to cheers from his supporters at Mar-a-Lago, the social club he owns in Palm Beach, Florida. The line was part of an hour-plus-long speech announcing his plans to challenge President Joe Biden in 2024.

Trump has long mused about executing drug dealers, and first publicly mentioned it after a meeting with Singapore’s leaders in 2018. His emphasis on the topic as he kicks off a 2024 bid, however, shows how likely Trump is to deploy his unchecked instincts for authoritarianism if he wins the presidency again.

He’s not even bothering to hide the authoritarian roots of his proposal. Trump explicitly credits President Xi Jinping, the dictatorial leader of China, with giving him the idea.

“In China, when I was with President Xi, I said: ‘President, do you have a drug problem?’” Trump said Tuesday night at Mar-a-Lago, recounting Xi purportedly saying the problem was solved by “quick trials” where “by the end of the day you’re executed.”

“That’s a terrible thing, but they have no drug problem,” Trump said. (It’s worth noting here Trump is a serial fabulist, that his recollection of his conversation with Xi may not be trustworthy, and that China actually does have a drug problem.)

Trump usually suggests when mentioning the death penalty for drug dealers that he knows it’s an extreme idea. “I don’t even know if the American public is ready for it,” he said Tuesday.

It’s extremely unlikely Trump could implement such a proposal. Republicans in Congress seemed taken aback by the idea on Wednesday, and a one-day trial for anyone accused of dealing drugs would violate numerous constitutional protections for those accused of crimes.

“I must say I respect the fact that the president speaks candidly about these matters, but that’s something that I hope that he would allow me to share my insightful opinions about,” Rep. Clay Higgins (R-La.) told HuffPost.

Several Republicans in Congress said they’d never heard the idea when HuffPost brought it up on Wednesday.

“That’s a lot to think about,” Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.) said.

“That’s not a policy I’m aware of,” Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) said.

“Seems a little extreme,” Rep. Glenn Thompson (R-Pa.) said. “But I will say that we’ve lost, the past couple of years, hundreds of thousands of lives.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), however, endorsed the death penalty for fentanyl dealers. “I think fentanyl is such a deadly drug that that concept should be on the table,” he said.

Both Democrats and Republicans have pushed for crackdowns on fentanyl, the ultra-powerful opioid that has driven drug overdose deaths to record highs in recent years. Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W. Va.) and Rob Portman (R-Ohio) have urged the administration to permanently list fentanyl as a Schedule 1 drug, over the objection of liberal groups who want Biden’s administration to take a public health-centric approach to opioid addiction and roll back the war on drugs.

In state and federal law, the death penalty is usually reserved for murderers. The Supreme Court has said the death penalty is an excessive and unconstitutional punishment for crimes that don’t cause death.

Besides China, a handful of other countries, including Iran and Saudi Arabia, regularly execute people for drug crimes. Trump has also specifically praised Rodrigo Duterte, former president of the Philippines, for his crackdown on drugs. Duterte’s anti-drug policies resulted in more than 12,000 deaths, many of them extrajudicial killings, and widespread human rights abuses.

Four years into Duterte’s term in office, the head of the anti-drug division of the Philippines’ national police force admitted the “shock and awe” strategy had done little to cut supply or demand for illegal drugs.

'Brutal': Trump mocked for 'low-energy' campaign kickoff even Fox News didn't want to cover

On Wednesday's edition of MSNBC's "All In," anchor Chris Hayes mocked former President Donald Trump for apparently losing his political shine — to the point that even Fox News didn't want to cover his speech, and his own daughter doesn't want to be involved in his third consecutive campaign for the White House.

"Donald Trump is not actually good at politics," said Hayes. "In fact, you can argue that there is no bigger loser in American politics than Donald Trump. Just look at his record. Loss after loss after loss. Even the one win in 2016, when he won the presidency — remember, he had lost the popular vote by nearly 2.9 million votes. It was like two percentage points. Back in 2018, first midterm elections, party lost control of the House. Democrats gained ... 40 seats that year. In 2020, he lost both the electoral college, 306 to 232, and the popular vote was 7 million more Americans choosing Joe Biden over Donald Trump."

"Then just last week, de facto head of the Republican Party once again, for the third election in a row, presided over a wildly disappointing loss," said Hayes. "This one a midterm. Democrats will retain control of the Senate. Republicans will take the House by a tiny, tiny sliver of margin. Whatever political pull Donald Trump may have once had, it does seem clear it is no longer working."

Trump is trying to get back that enthusiasm and control by launching his new campaign, which he did in a speech at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday night in front of a semi-captive audience. But, noted Hayes, the speech was "a brutal slog" so low-energy that "even Fox News, at one point, got bored and cut away from more than ten minutes."

Hayes played a clip of the cutaway, in which Trump was talking about former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and anchor Sean Hannity said, "we're gonna go back to the speech in just a minute. let's get some quick snap reaction first from someone who's been watching along with."

"Sean, you're killing me," said Hayes. "The Angela Merkel crowdwork was amazing. Why did you cut away from that? And we would play some of the highlights of the ex-president's speech. There's nothing to highlight. You've seen this one million times. The most interesting part of the entire announcement was who did not attend. Trump's eldest daughter, Ivanka, a top advisor in his administration along with her husband, was most notable absence. In a statement ... she said she is quitting the game altogether, saying, 'I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my own children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.'"

'Just a disaster': Right-wing journalist reacts with horror to Trump's reported meeting with Nick Fuentes

On Friday, right-wing Washington Examiner political correspondent Byron York took to Twitter to warn that former President Donald Trump's increasingly open fraternization with white nationalists like Nick Fuentes is a crisis for the Republican Party.

"Trump, Kanye, Nick Fuentes — No longer a disaster waiting to happen," wrote York. "Now just a disaster.

This comes after Fuentes reportedly traveled to Trump's Mar-a-Lago country club residence in Palm Beach, Florida for a meeting — after which pro-Trump rapper Kanye West claimed that Trump was "really impressed" with the far-right activist.

Fuentes first gained prominence after his participation in the 2017 white supremacist "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, which resulted in the murder of a counterprotester. He leads a movement known as the "Groyper Army," an association of extremist internet trolls whose mission is to inject white nationalist ideology into the mainstream of political debate. Fuentes was active in politics during the 2022 midterms as well, with failed Washington Congressional candidate Joe Kent seeking his endorsement.

READ MORE: ‘I am a victim’: How ‘victimhood’ remains the centerpiece of Trump’s message

Kanye West himself, who also goes by the mononym Ye, has come under heavy fire in recent weeks for promoting anti-Semitic beliefs, including a social media rant in which he said he was going to go "death con 3" on Jewish people.

All of this comes as Trump is preparing for his third consecutive run for president in 2024, which has conservative forces unsure whether to fall in with the base or back him once more.

Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes 'spoke directly' with Trump at Mar-a-Lago dinner: report

Axios' Jonathan Swan is reporting that former President Donald Trump did in fact host Holocaust-denying white nationalist Nick Fuentes during a dinner at Mar-a-Lago this week.

Fuentes went to Mar-a-Lago this week along with rapper and fellow anti-Semite Kanye West, who said after the dinner that Trump was "impressed" with Fuentes.

Although initial reporting indicated that Trump did not meet directly with Fuentes at Mar-a-Lago, Swan's source has indicated otherwise.

Swan's report was confirmed by the New York Times' Maggie Haberman, who also got the Republican Jewish Coalition to go on the record to say no political leader should be meeting with Fuentes.

"We strongly condemn the virulent antisemitism of Kanye West and Nick Fuentes and call on all political leaders to reject their messages of hate and refuse to meet with them," they said.

Even among far-right media influencers, Fuentes is particularly toxic figure.

In addition to repeatedly calling the Holocaust a hoax, he has also called for a return to segregation and for taking away women's rights to vote.

Fuentes also attended the notorious "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, which featured torch-carrying neo-Nazis chanting, "Jews will not replace us."

    • Trump's team has claimed that the rapper Ye tricked him by bringing a well-known white supremacist to Mar-a-Lago.

    • "Kanye punked Trump," one Trump adviser told NBC News of the dinner with Nick Fuentes.

    • Trump has been widely criticized after he dined with Ye and Fuentes last week.
Former President Donald Trump and some of his advisers have claimed that Kanye West, the rapper now known as Ye, tricked the former president into hosting white supremacist Nick Fuentes for dinner at Mar-a-Lago a week ago, according to a Tuesday NBC News report.

Sources close to Trump said Ye, who's recently made anti-Semitic comments and announced a 2024 presidential bid, helped stage the meeting to subject the ex-president to criticism shortly after he launched his own 2024 run.

The Trump campaign is now reviewing their processes to prevent someone like Fuentes from getting near Trump again, sources with knowledge of the discussions told NBC News. Trump himself was reportedly furious, suggesting that Ye had ambushed him.

"He tried to f--- me. He's crazy. He can't beat me," Trump said, an unnamed confidant told NBC News.

"Trump was totally blindsided," that source added. "It was a setup."

"The master troll got trolled," one Trump adviser, who spoke anonymously, told NBC News. "Kanye punked Trump."

Since news of the November 22 meeting broke, prominent lawmakers in both major parties have condemned Trump for meeting with Fuentes, a well-known figure in white nationalist and anti-Semitic circles. Trump has defended himself against the attacks, claiming that he hadn't known who Fuentes was and did not invite him to Mar-a-Lago, but that Ye had brought him along.

NBC News reported that Ye showed up to Mar-a-Lago with Fuentes, Karen Giorno, a former Trump 2016 adviser, and a man Ye identified as a parent of a student at Donda Academy, the California private school he founded, which has closed for the school year after the rapper's recent anti-Semitic comments.

Upon their arrival, Giorno, who told NBC News that she accidentally became part of Ye's entourage after she drove him to Mar-a-Lago, said she tried to have Ye meet with Trump alone. But Trump, according to NBC News, had deferred to Ye, who insisted the whole group dine together.

Milo Yiannopoulos, a far-right commentator who's publicly criticized Trump, told NBC News that he had been the mastermind behind the meeting and arranged it "just to make Trump's life miserable." Yiannopoulos is working as a political adviser to Ye, NBC News reported.

Some of Trump's allies had warned him not to even meet with Ye, but Trump dismissed their advice, the outlet reported. One Trump adviser told NBC News that the former president said Ye's attendance at Mar-a-Lago "would be fun for the members."

A few Republicans have stood by Trump amid the backlash. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday denounced Fuentes, but repeated Trump's defense that the former president didn't know who the young man was.

Spokespeople for Trump and Ye did not immediately return Insider's requests for comment.

Allies so shaken by Trump dinner a top campaign aide will now 'be present with him at all times'

Top allies of Donald Trump were so disturbed by his decision to have dinner with white supremacist Nick Fuentes last week that the ex-president and 2024 GOP candidate will now have a handler with him around the clock.

The Associated Press also reports the campaign has also changed the protocols for visitors and will start to vet guests who come to see Trump, after the few procedures in place allowed antisemite Kanye West to bring along three guests.

"In an acknowledgment of the severity of the backlash and an effort to prevent a repeat, Trump’s campaign is putting new protocols in place to ensure that those who meet with him are approved and fully vetted, according to people familiar with the plans who requested anonymity to share internal strategy," the AP adds, revealing the campaign apparently does not trust the 76-year old ex-president to make decisions about who he should or should not spend time with.

The AP does not define "fully vetted," but importantly the Trump White House had such a horrific track record of vetting nominees even GOP Senators were frustrated.

"The changes will include expediting a system, borrowed from Trump’s White House, in which a senior campaign official will be present with him at all times, according to one of the people," the AP adds, revealing what appears to be a previously unknown fact.

The lax security at Mar-a-Lago was in place when Trump was storing 300 documents with various classified markings, including documents with top secret information and a set with the highest level of classification.

In yet another stunning revelation the AP reports that the antisemitic Holocaust "denier" and white supremacist Fuentes "arrived by car with Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, and was waved into the club by security, even though only Ye had been on the security list, according to one of the people present and others briefed on the events."

The AP also reports that "Fuentes apparently did not show his ID and the car’s driver, a frequent guest at the club, got in using a credit card after misplacing her license."

The report does not mention the other two guests Trump dined with, reportedly far right wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos, who has supported adult men having sex with young teens, and Karen Trump 2016 aide Karen Giorno, who was reportedly involved in a pay-for-pardon scheme.

There are many political observers after Trump announced he's running for president in 2024 it looks like a campaign that is off to such a terrible start Trump hasn't even held a single campaign event let alone rally yet.

But once again when it comes to Trump's stable genius we are playing checkers while he is playing three dimensional chess. Trump has his operatives out there setting the message and the tone.

A Florida rapper who goes by the name of Forgiato Blow delivered a warning shot to the man whom he voted to reelect as his state's governor just weeks earlier.

As Newsweek reports, Forgiato Blow, who has dubbed himself the "Mayor of MAGAville," this week filmed himself defaced a pro-Ron DeSantis mural he created to protest the governor potentially running for president in 2024 in a head-to-head battle against former President Donald Trump.

"You need to go ahead and endorse Donald Trump for 2024, president," the rapper warned his governor. "And you get your turn in 2028, my boy."

In an interview with Newsweek, Forgiato Blow explained that he believed DeSantis needed to back Trump in 2024 as a show of loyalty to the former president, whose endorsement was crucial in DeSantis winning the nomination for governor in 2018.

NYT’s Maggie Haberman Flags ‘Telling’ Sign About Donald Trump’s 2024 Campaign

    Lee Moran
Fri, December 16, 2022 at 4:44 AM MST

Maggie Haberman, a White House correspondent for The New York Times, on Thursday highlighted a key sign that Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign may not be going to plan.

The former president announced his third run for the White House last month. But his campaign has been low key, with no rallies, although he has reportedly polled supporters on where the first one should be held.

On “CNN This Morning,” Haberman said Trump’s rallies — or the lack of them — could be telling.

“Rallies are expensive,” she said. “I don’t know how much money he is raising, that’s something I think that everybody needs to be keeping an eye on.”

“The rallies cost a lot of money,” Haberman continued. “If you start seeing Donald Trump doing events that are not a rally, that is telling about the state of his campaign in a different way. So, we’ll see what happens.”

    • Trump delayed the release of a personal financial disclosure required by law for presidential candidates.

    • Trump may now wait another 45 days before releasing new details about his personal finances.

    • The former president could also request one more 45-day extension.
Former President Donald Trump has requested — and received — a 45-day extension on filing a mandatory personal financial disclosure that would offer new details about his wealth now that he's again a presidential candidate.

"Due to the complexity of his finances and the need to obtain additional information from third parties, President Trump needs additional time to gather the necessary information and complete the report," Compass Legal Group senior counsel Derek H. Ross wrote to the Federal Election Commission on Thursday.

"I have granted your request for a 45-day extension of time until January 29, 2023," FEC Acting General Counsel Lisa Stevenson replied on Friday.

Trump announced his 2024 presidential run last month amid a swirl of legal peril. Federal law requires new presidential candidates to submit a certified personal financial disclosure within 30 days of becoming a candidate, but they may request up to two, 45-day extensions from federal regulators.

Presidential personal financial disclosures include information about a candidate's income, assets, debt, and royalties.

Trump's disclosures as the nation's 45th president were particularly intriguing given his sprawling business interests that frequently intersected — and conflicted — with his public duties. Earlier this month, a trial jury in New York City found the Trump Organization guilty on all counts of tax fraud.

Personal financial disclosures of this sort are different from personal tax returns and, generally, contain fewer details.

Trump for years has refused to publicly release his tax returns, breaking with presidential precedent. But after a years-long legal battle, the Democrat-controlled US House is now in possession of those records and could potentially release them before Republicans assume power in January.

Thanks for the laugh. How can the 2020 election be over when Trump and his treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans are still screaming the election was stolen from Trump, and President Biden should be removed from office and Trump reinstated as president?

You need to be telling this to them.

This is probably the death blow not just to Trump's campaign but for Trump himself. Why, other than to enrich themselves at government expense, did Ivanka and Jared have to follow Trump into the White House? Because Trump is mentally ill and had to have them near to keep him from going off the deep end and cover up for him. And without them, and especially the "stable pony" Ivanka to control and manipulate Trump his insanity will become obvious.

On Monday, Donald Trump declared that he “specifically asked” his daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner not to be a part of his 2024 presidential campaign – claiming news reports that the couple snubbed the former president are “Fake News.”

In mid-November, the usually Trump-friendly New York Post published a headline declaring, “Trump begging Jared, Ivanka to join him on stage for campaign launch: sources.”

The report by Ian Mohr and Samuel Chamberlain opened with the line, “‘Javanka’ seem to want no part of Trump 2024.”

“Former President Donald Trump spent part of daughter Tiffany’s lavish Mar-a-Lago wedding this past weekend trying to convince his much-loved elder daughter, Ivanka, and son-in-law Jared Kushner to be with him on stage when he announces his third consecutive run for the presidency at the Palm Beach resort Tuesday night, sources told The Post Monday,” added the Post, jesting:

So far, the man known for “The Art of the Deal” has not closed this one.

Trump, over a month and a half later, apparently is still a bit sour over the suggestion that his own daughter is not supporting his so-far flailing campaign. Jared and Ivanka were noticeably absent from Trump’s campaign launch in November. Trump addressed the issue, writing on Truth Social:

Contrary to Fake News reporting, I never asked Jared or Ivanka to be part of the 2024 Campaign for President and, in fact, specifically asked them not to do it – too mean and nasty with the Fake & Corrupt News and having to deal with some absolutely horrendous SleazeBags in the world of politics, and beyond. There has never been anything like this “ride” before, and they should not be further subjected to it. I ran twice, getting millions more Votes the second time (RIGGED), & am doing it again!

Trump has less chance of holding public elected office than Liz Cheney.
    And her chances are zero.

Trump promotes article encouraging him to run as third-party candidate if GOP doesn't nominate him

Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday promoted an editorial suggesting that he run as a third-party candidate if the Republican Party does not make him its 2024 presidential nominee.

On his Truth Social website, Trump posted a link to an editorial from MAGA publication American Greatness in which author Dan Gelernter compared Trump to the late President Teddy Roosevelt, whose unsuccessful third-party bid in 1912 handed the White House to Democrat Woodrow Wilson.

Gelernter concedes that Trump running as a third-party candidate in 2024 would likely also hand Democrats the White House, but he suggests it would be worth it to teach the Republican Party a lesson about defying its base.

"I have no intention of supporting a Republican Party that manifestly contravenes the desires of its voters," he writes. "The RNC can pretend Trump isn’t loved by the base anymore, that he doesn’t have packed rallies everywhere he goes. But I’m not buying it: Talk to Republican voters anywhere outside the Beltway, and it is obvious that he is admired and even loved by those who consider themselves 'ordinary' Americans."

To further emphasize this point, Gelernter states later in the editorial that "if the Republican Party thinks it’s not big enough for Trump, it’s not going to be big enough for me either."

Although Trump was once the overwhelming favorite to be the GOP's 2024 nominee, recent polls have shown him losing to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, which has caused him to lash out and accuse the polls of being "fake."
