Well, after going out with my girlfriend a few days ago, a question came into my mind. Now normally, I'm very open when it comes to anything sexual. I'd be willing to try any fetish at least once because I like just about every one of them. After all, online it's easy to be open.

However in real life, I'm totally different. I'm still willing to try different things, but I hide the fact that I want to. For example, my girlfriend and I were talking about different fetishes and which one we thought were strange and I found myself basically lying to her about some of the one that are my favorites. Incest for example. She says it's disgusting so I'd agree with her, though the idea sounds really fun. I figure that I hid my sexual fetishes from her because she's an ultra-conservative christian with militaristic parents and a strong moral base. But that's not really important.

So, I ask, what sort of sexual fetishes, or things, do you hide from those close to you? Your family? Your friends? And why?

most of my fetishes i hide. although me and an ex went through our whole relationship dissing incest because we thought the other person found it repulsive. then after we broke up, we got into the subject of RPing, and incest came up. we were both like "fiiiiine, i like the fantasy of it, but would never do it with actual family members." go figure.

 

With my wife, I have found that there is no need to hide anything from her. She either agrees or disagrees, and never makes me feel shameful. On the other hand, I hid everything from my business associates, friends, and family. It is not anyone elses business what I do sexually with my wife. Sounds a little hippocritical, however, I must point out that I am completely anonimous here. So that enlightens me to speak freely. We have a lot of 20+ year olds here, so I hope that some of my answers (except the joking around) might help others that haven't experienced certain situations before. All in all, this place is fun, and there are alot of unique peeps on this forum. I kind of like to see others freely talk about sex issues the same way I do.

 

that makes perfect sense. i don't think it's too classy to walk around talking about your sex life (internet doesn't count), and what you're into. that's for your SO. especially not your job. friends, maybe. family...ehhh, depends on your family.

 

We talk about everything in both sides of our family. Sex is the only thing we let go unstated.

 

I've shared most of my fetishes with my fiance by now, except bro/sis incest though(never could happen, only child). Don't talk about sex with my parents. I really don't know why about my parents, with my fiance I'm afraid he would think I'm weird.

 

I have to admit that I have found it difficult in the past to talk openly and honestly about my likes and dislikes with previous partners - I am actually a little shy in person - tending to just shut up and put up BUT my current OH and I both come on xnxx and so when our already great friendship developed into a relationship he already knew stuff about me I could and would never have told anyone else so it was only natural that we are VERY open, makes for a great sex life after years of drought!

 

I am single so dont have a partner to discuss this with and wouldnt discuss anything like this with any family member so friends is the only option. i wont tell any mates that i kinda like the idea of being bi-curious, even if it is for one night, i also wont say i am into feet or golden showers or shemales (cant really think of others i wouldnt mention atm). i tend to pretend i watch lesbian movies and the odd bondage all night and nothing is even close but tbh i would watch maybe a guy jerking off, shemale on male, footjob, golden showers and that kinda thing...wouldnt tell anyone unless i really trust them and they would understand

I don;t tend to talk to people in my family about sex, at all. It's just awkward

 

ive always had the fantasy of having sex in a public place like a park or somewhere open. I have shared this with my ex when we were dating and she was alright about it but she never shared the same fantisy

 

I consider myself a pretty honest and open person, but I've been stung with honesty before. I was in a relationship where the moment I mentioned I was bisexual, he became obsessed with having threesomes (which is fine in theory, if well considered and thought about, or utterly casual- not in the half baked fucked up way he wanted to go about it) and tried to cajole me into making sexual plays on my close female friends.
As such, I keep the majority of things close to my chest- even my family don't know I'm bisexual.

My husband however, knows everything, and it wouldn't bother me to raise any subject with him. It took a while to bring a few fetishes up with him, but I think with the right person, you can tell them anything.

Yeah id say maybe for the sake of the relationship just to lie through your teeth about how you find it disgusting to and just go along with it, no need to be truthful if its going to end the relationship of the person that you love.

 

i hide fetishes like wanting to be with a shemale, or asslicking a girl, and stuff like that from my friends and family its non of there business.

 

Although I have tried all of the things that I have wanted to do, I now find myself wanting my hubby to try some differant things. I havent dared to broach them to him because he way straight. So like Bam, I keep silent to preserve the harmony.

 

I have no one right now but when I did I never really told them about my fetishes I had since I was afaird they would think they were messed up so I would just tell them the less disgusting one. Now only one person really knows about all most all my fetishes but not all since I don't what he might think of them.
