Clearly the repukes still have election deniers and trumptards running on 2024.

The clear exception however is Tim Scott. But unfortunately the guy isn't going to sniff the republican nomination. As the trumptard base of the party can never support him.

"I have been adamant in supporting the President’s legal right to pursue any and every lawful avenue to investigate, litigate and adjudicate allegations of error, fraud, or misconduct. This is rooted in my deeply held conviction that a country as strong, innovative and good as America should be able to hold free, fair, and reliable elections in which all her people can trust. The President’s legal team exercised its right to access the courts by initiating suits in state and federal courts in numerous states. Some of these lawsuits have even been presided over and adjudicated by conservative judges nominated by President Trump. Thus far, no justice, judge or fact finder has found evidence indicating the election results in those states should be overturned.

Republican governors and Republican controlled state legislatures across the country have upheld the results of their individual states’ elections. States have initiated recounts and audits with no significant change to the election results. The Electoral College has certified its results and still other judges, including judges and justices nominated by President Trump, have ended or declined to assert jurisdiction over these legal challenges. I am, and will forever be, open, interested, and desirous to see any new and credible evidence."

Of course Scott didn't openly say in the above, that Trump lied about 2020 election fraud.
But if Scott has since amended his 2020 election stance, please post it.

So far it seems Nikki Haley is the most "sane" GOP candidate. But still doesn't have the courage to completely condemn Trump for his 2020 election crimes.

    Comments on Jan 6th

‘I think it was a terrible day’

Haley said her former boss, Trump, is wrong to defend the events of January 6, 2021, when his supporters rioted at the US Capitol as Congress counted electoral college votes. “He thinks it was a beautiful day; I think it was a terrible day. I’ll always stand by that.” Haley did not repeat the wild conspiracy theories that Trump and his supporters have spread about the 2020 election, and she acknowledged that “President Biden is the president.”

Imagine that, a GOP candidate who openly acknowledges Biden as president. Unlike Desantis I might add.

    On Abortion

She said she believes such a consensus measure would include banning late-term abortions, encouraging adoptions, making contraceptives more widely available and making clear that women who have abortions would not be jailed.

“Can’t we start there? Because what the politicos and what the media have done is they’ve made you demonize the situation when it’s so personal that we have to humanize the situation,” Haley said. “Our goal should always be, how do we save as many babies as we can, and support as many mothers as we do it.”

She said she is “unapologetically pro-life” because her husband was adopted and she “had trouble having both of my children.”

But, Haley added, “I don’t judge anyone for being pro-choice any more than I want them to judge me for being pro-life.

Again not as draconian as others in the GOP.

    We have new contenders.
They're too late to make our survey, but here they are anyway.

    Doug Burgum

    Governor of North Dakota
Burgum, the governor of North Dakota, announced his campaign in an opinion piece for the Wall Street Journal on 6 June. Viewed as a surprise, long-shot candidate, he touted his experience as a career businessman and leaned on his small-town roots in an announcement video titled Change. As governor, Burgum signed into law a near-total abortion ban, which makes the procedure illegal after six weeks, and only permissible in cases of rape, incest or medical emergency up to that point. He supported Donald Trump for president in 2016 and in 2020.

    Francis Suarez

    Mayor of Miami

Suarez, the mayor of Miami, is the first major Hispanic candidate seeking the Republican party nomination this election cycle. The son of Miami’s first Cuban-born mayor, Suarez has said he would broaden support for Republicans among Latino voters. He is the third candidate from Florida to join the crowded primary field, alongside frontrunners Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis. Suarez, who was first elected in 2017, filed paperwork to run the day after Trump appeared in a Miami court over federal charges and made his formal announcement on Good Morning America the day after that.

    1. latecomer91364
Francis Suarez seems to be a good Mayor for Miami, but he's a lying schemer in national politics. I like his work in Miami, but I don't trust him - it's reported that he voted for Clinton over Trump, but Google is not suppling any dfeinitive proof of that.

Even so, he hasn't got a snowball's chance on Miami Beach in July.

The polls continue to give Trump the strong lead with DeSantis and Pence staying within striking distance. Haley, Shooter's personal choice continues to trail by significant margins but consistently remains viable. She needs to pick it up, eh?

    A disturbing thought.
Trump selects Nikki Haley as VP and then takes the nomination.

So, the disturbing part is, with Haley Trump could actually win against anyone the despicables have offered up so far.
Which creates the ethical dilemma; Shooter does not see Trump winning and he could take down Haley with him.
But should he win the nomination, Shooter would want to vote for Haley and take Trump as part of the package.
Then with the hope that Trump wouldn't finish his term and Haley would assume the Presidency.

    An ugly scenario all around.

Shooter hopes that if Trump is still a viable candidate when he selects his running mate, its someone like Desantis or Christie.

    1. heads-up
I’m curious @shootersa , if you don’t see Trump winning if nominated, who is it the Dems are running to beat him? Not Biden assuredly. Gavin Newsom? He is as whack as slow Joe. Just trying to figure out who they can sell to the voters.

Well Shooter thinks despicables know that Biden is not a viable candidate but they can't say that out loud without cuckholding Biden.
Gretchen Whitmer has been mentioned, also Amy Klobuchar but they just don't have the standing to be legitimate in Shooters thinking. Maybe things will change enough in a year, but Shooter doesn't see it.

The others like Newsome and Warren might carry the radicals in the party but they can't carry their home state, especially Newsome, and that's usually the kiss of death for a candidate.

The thing is, if we ever get to the point that the parties are putting up a viable candidate that is Good for the country, as opposed to one who is picked because the thinking is they can win, we might actually get to the point where we vote FOR a candidate instead of against a candidate.

It's now the trumplican party. So If Trump is able to run., he easily wins the GOP nomination. Which is a good thing, One last repudiation of Trump, and that will be the last we see of him.

This will alas, help rid ourselves of those trumplicans that still infest our Gov.

So while Shooter was off fighting for motherhood, apple pie and the American way we had some changes to the deplorable lineup for president in 2024.
Suarez dropped out almost as fast as he announced, with a campaign that didn't even last 3 months. We have to give him credit though; he said he'd drop if he didn't meet the threshold for the Iowa debates, he didn't, and he dropped.
Hurd bailed almost as fast, he never even made the original list and dropped before the ink was dry on his first campaign posters. He did endorse Haley but that didn't add many supporters to Haley's list. Not that she needs them. She's doing just fine.
And Steve Laffey (WHO??) announced in March, but didn't even make the list in June and dropped out, taking a final shot at Trump and the party as he departed.

So the list changes, but we still have 9 or so contenders.
Trump, DeSantis, Ramsawamy and Haley are all leading the pack, with all the others claiming no more than 5%, which is to say, no hope at this point.
Trump continues to lead by a significant margin, followed by DeSantis and with Haley and Ramsawamy slipping closer all the time.

This is a bridge too far even for me. There is no evidence at all Pence screams mother mother mother when he's getting pounded up the ass. The only alleged recording I have heard he seems to be moaning reach around.

Heckler Trolls Trump’s Ex-VP As He Tries To Talk To Reporters In NH: ‘Mike Pence And I Are Gay!’
    Tommy ChristopherOct 14th, 2023, 3:57 pm

A heckler trolled former Vice President Mike Pence as he spoke to reporters in New Hampshire, yelling “You promised today was our Coming Out Day!” and “Mike Pence and I are gay!”

On Friday, more than one camera followed Pence as he officially filed to participate in the 2024 New Hampshire Republican presidential primary, and addressed voters and reporters as he did so.

Even though National Coming Out Day was two days earlier — on Wednesday — a heckler decided to use the holiday as a peg for trolling the former VP, who is known for his conservative cultural views:

MIKE PENCE: Very humbling day for me and my wife, Karen, to be standing here. First in the nation primary state, to be able to put our name on the ballot for the highest office in the land. And I want to thank you for the warm welcome. I want to. We want to thank the people of New Hampshire for the way they’ve opened their hearts and their homes to our family. We look forward in the days ahead, continuing to carry a messages. It’s a very serious time in the life of our nation, a very serious time in the life of our world. And we’re running because we simply believe, with all humility, that I’m the most qualified, most experienced, the most tested conservative seeking the Republican nomination.

HECKLER: Mike Pence are you going to tell about us?

MIKE PENCE: You’re going to meet our campaign challenge in our campaign to the American people–.

HECKLER: You promised today was our Coming Out Day! Mike Pence and I are gay! We’re gay!

    SEC. DAVID SCANLAN: Sir!

    MIKE PENCE: –we commit our.

HECKLER: Here’s the proof! Here’s the proof.! Mike Pence I’ll admit your John Deere is bigger than mine.

SEC. DAVID SCANLAN: Apologize for that. Go ahead.

MIKE PENCE: We don’t know what the future holds for our little family, but we know who holds the future. We entrust ourselves to the judgment of the people of the Granite State.

There’s no evidence Mike Pence is gay — even by the old-timey definition.

    Watch above via Forbes.
