Gaetz may indeed be an idiot. That hasn't stopped nonsense like the post above.
Interested members might take a look at the timeline of events surrounding the removal of McCarthy as speaker, the decision to adjourn Congress, and the invasion of Israel.
October 2; Gaetz introduces motion to remove McCarthy and calls for a vote within 2 days.
October 3; McCarthy is removed as speaker
October 3; Patrick McHenry, acting as speaker pro tem, adjourns Congress for 8 days. Congress will reconvene on October 10.
October 7; Hamas attacks Israel, Israel declares war.

    Now, see, its nonsense like this statement;
"While speaking to Gaetz on Meet the Press, Welker wondered if the lawmaker took any responsibility for grinding the House of Representatives to a halt during a crisis."
Neither Gaetz or anyone else in the US government apparently had a hint that Hamas was about to attack. Hell, the Israelis didn't know. But that little fact didn't stop the media from skewering Gaetz as if he intentionally "shut down Congress" to enhance the crisis in the mideast. Apparently the idea is to take the heat off of Biden for "accidentally" funding Iran so they could fund Hamas.

    Fail.

Aw, they're picking on a deplorable...

Gaetz is no more responsible for not knowing about the Hamas attacks than Democrats are responsible for McCarthy's ouster, and yet Republicans, including McCarthy, still blamed the Democrats for his removal.

Cry some more space alien crocodile tears!

I'm also ecstatic that there are Republicans that want to remove Gaetz from office.

I think Matt Gaetz and Jim Jordan are a perfect team for the GOP.

Gaetz covered up crimes victimizing young women and Jordan covered up crimes victimizing young men. They've got it covered.

Gaetz apologizes to colleague, ‘anyone else who felt targeted’ by fundraising email

    Rep.

(R-Fla.) apologized for a fundraising email that prompted a fiery response from fellow Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.) on Tuesday.

“This email was sent by a vendor without my team’s approval,” Gaetz said in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “It should not have been sent. I sincerely apologize to Mike Lawler and anyone else who felt targeted by this [ill]-conceived email message.

“I will make changes to ensure this does not happen again,” he continued. “I intend to heed Speaker-Designate Jordan’s call to not attack fellow Republicans as we work through this.”

Gaetz’s apology came in response to Lawler calling him out on X over an apparent screenshot of a fundraising email taking aim at “RINOs” — or Republicans in name only — who it claims are “working” with left-wing House members to prevent Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) from becoming the next Speaker.

“Does someone want to tell Matt Gaetz that he worked with RADICAL DEMOCRATS like @AOC @IlhanMN and @RashidaTlaib to remove @SpeakerMcCarthy, a REPUBLICAN SPEAKER,” Lawler wrote Tuesday.

The New York Republican voted against Jordan as Speaker on Tuesday — one of 20 House Republicans to do so.

Earlier this month, eight House Republicans voted to oust former Speaker

(R-Calif.) from the top role. The push, led by Gaetz, drew the ire of some of his fellow Republicans.

“You all know Matt Gaetz,” McCarthy said in the wake of his ouster. “You know it was personal. It had nothing to do about spending; it had nothing to do about everything he accused somebody of he was doing. It all was about getting attention from you.”

“I mean, we’re getting email fundraisers from him as he’s doing it. ‘Join in quickly,’” McCarthy continued, referring to Gaetz fundraising off his motion to vacate the Speakership. “That’s not governing. That’s not becoming of a member of Congress. And regardless of what you think, I’ve seen the text, it was all about his ethics, but that’s all right.”

The Hill has reached out to Gaetz’s office for comment.

Meanwhile Brandon is flitting about the mid east looking for someplace to land where someone will actually talk to him.
Course, he has no clue where he is, why he's there, or what he's supposed to do when (if) they land.
He's kind of like a drone target just now.
Just waiting for the shooting to begin again.

And in other news, we see where Comcast has pledged $2 MILLION to support of Israel.
And Skydance has pledged $1 MILLION in support of Israel.
NBC Universal's parent is also donating up to $500,000 in support of Israel.
Disney has pledged $2 MILLION in support of Israel.

The Biden administration has pledged $100 MILLION in aid to Palestinians.
They released $6 BILLION in sanctioned money to Iran.

Nice when one can toss other people's money at your cronies, eh?

The left is quickly sliding off their high moral ground with the news that Biden is throwing American taxpayer dollars at terrorists in the name of humanitarian aid. He claims we'll closely police the aid, to, you know, make sure it really is used for humanitarian aid.
Meanwhile the Palestinian Authority is already moving their existing "humanitarian aid" over to buy more rockets and guns.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) isn’t happy about the way the Capitol Hill chaos he orchestrated is developing. Seventeen days after he and seven other hardliners voted to boot Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) from the speakership, Gaetz’s preferred replacement, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), got the same treatment as scores of Republicans voted secretly to kick him off the ticket on Friday. Gaetz fumed about the outcome online—conveniently blaming it on the “swamp.” “The most popular Republican in Congress was just knifed in an an anonymous vote in a secret closed door meeting in the basement of the Capitol,” Gaetz wrote in a post to X, formerly known as Twitter. “This is the Swamp at work.” McCarthy, in turn, told reporters that Gaetz and Co. had done “insurmountable” damage to the country, and that he was “concerned about where we go from here.”

Actually more than swampy it proves what cowards the majority of treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans are. Only 25 had the guts to vote against Jordan in public. But when they got their chance to vote against Jordan in secret 112 voted against him.

All while their is war between Israel and Hamas. We have American hostages held by Hamas and hundreds of Americans trapped in Gaza unable to get out. A much larger war could break out and any second. And all our other adversaries are trying to take advantage. And Congress is paralyzed while the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans bicker like little kids with their own civil war.

Matt Gaetz blasts the House GOP secret ballot process that knocked off Jim Jordan as the party's speaker nominee: 'It's as swampy as swamp gets'

    • Rep. Matt Gaetz on Friday expressed dismay at Jim Jordan's removal as the GOP speaker nominee.

    • "It's as swampy as swamp gets, and Jim Jordan deserved better than that," Gaetz told reporters.

    • Jordan's removal has thrown the race the wide open, with an array of new entrants looking to take on the role.
Rep. Matt Gaetz was a firm supporter of Rep. Jim Jordan's speakership bid, and he was none too thrilled when the House Republican conference on Friday voted in a secret ballot to drop the Ohio lawmaker as their party's nominee for the position.

The decision sank the House chamber into further disarray, more than two weeks after Rep.

of California was ousted as speaker.

Gaetz, who late last week dismissed the "chaos narrative" surrounding the absence of a speaker, told reporters on Friday that Jordan had been mistreated by detractors and compared the secret balloting process to the much-maligned Washington swamp.

"The most popular Republican in the United States Congress was just knifed by a secret ballot, in a private meeting, in the basement of the Capitol," the Florida Republican said. "It's as swampy as swamp gets, and Jim Jordan deserved better than that."

The GOP conference on Friday voted 112-86 to ditch Jordan as their nominee after the lawmaker lost his third vote on the House floor, which once again threw open the contest for speaker.

On Monday, the conference is set to reassemble to hear pitches from the multitude of Republicans who have thrown their hat into the ring, from higher-profile members like House Majority Whip Tom Emmer of Minnesota and Rep. Byron Donalds of Florida to lesser-known candidates like Reps. Jack Bergman of Michigan and Austin Scott of Georgia.

Earlier this month, Gaetz filed a motion to vacate the chair, which forced a vote on McCarthy's speakership. Gaetz for weeks had teased using the tool against McCarthy, frustrated at what he said was the Californian's insufficient support of deep spending cuts favored by the conference's most conservative members.

And after McCarthy averted a government shutdown by passing a clean continuing resolution that passed with bipartisan support, the House voted 216-210 to boot him from the position. Eight Republicans joined 208 Democrats to remove McCarthy from the role.

Over the course of several days, the GOP conference has seen House Majority Leader Steve Scalise of Louisiana enter the race before withdrawing after he attracted insufficient support to hit the 217-mark threshold needed to win the speakership. And Jordan is the latest candidate who's been unable to stave off enough GOP defections in the 221-member majority to secure the speaker's gavel.

Whoever becomes the next speaker will have to navigate a GOP caucus deeply divided on spending, approaches to governance, and personal grievances. Democrats could potentially be in the mix to back a particular GOP speaker nominee if some sort of legislative deals are made, but it is unclear what those terms would look like or if it would actually happen.

'Living a lie': Matt Gaetz appears to out fellow Republican colleague on podcast

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) took a swipe at House Ways and Means Chair Jason Smith (R) on his podcast Thursday — and heavily implied that he is a closeted gay man, although Gaetz did not say this outright and did not provide any hard evidence of this.

Gaetz began with complaining that Smith, who was highly critical of his motion to remove Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) from the House speakership, had said on the Marc Cox Morning Show "if Matt Gaetz's lips are moving, it's only lies that's coming out of it. That gentleman only likes to propel himself and propagandists. He sounds like a Democrat ... the blood is on his hands for 22 wasted days."

    Gaetz hit back.

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

"Congressman Jason Smith ... has been one of the most loyal lapdogs for former Speaker McCarthy, and for the lobbyists and special interests on K Street," said Gaetz. "See, Jason Smith has achieved power in Washington the way most people do. You get money from the lobbyists and special interests, you in turn give that money to the party bosses for their political funds, and then they allow you to move up."

"Jason Smith says if my lips are moving, I'm lying," said Gaetz. "Well you know what? If Jason Smith is breathing, he is living a lie. There might not be another member of Congress who lives a lie more than Jason Smith. And Jason Smith knows exactly what I'm talking about. And by the way, so does almost every member of the House Republican Caucus. So there's a good deal of projection in Jason Smith calling me a liar when it's Jason Smith who literally has to live a lie. And I honestly pity him for that, because, you know, it wouldn't be something that — I wouldn't live that way. I'll just put it that way."

"So Jason, I would check yourself before you come at me with any accusations of, of being dishonest about what I say, when you're dishonest about how you live and what you do," Gaetz continued.

All of this comes as the House Ethics Committee moves forward with an ethics investigation into Gaetz, over accusations of sexual misconduct and illicit drug use — a follow-up to a criminal sex trafficking investigation into the congressman, which concluded with charges against one of his associates but not against Gaetz himself.

The GOP civil war is apparently now cleaning out closets

US Republican Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Fl) Mandel Ngan/AFP/Getty Images

Last week, Tim Miller, the gay Bulwark writer who was communications director for Jeb Bush’s campaign in 2016 but left the GOP, tweeted out that Matt Gaetz appeared to be “outing” the GOP Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Missouri Congressman Jason Smith.

You can watch the clip from Gaetz’s podcast here. Gaetz is extremely peeved that Smith attacked him for triggering the removal of Kevin McCarthy as House speaker. Gaetz played a clip of Smith saying, “Let me just tell you, if Matt Gaetz’s lips are moving, it’s only lies that’s coming out of it,” and calling Gaetz a “foolish liar.”

The vengeful Gaetz respondeed by saying Smith is the one who is “living a lie” and that every Republican in Congress knows about it:

Jason Smith says if my lips are moving, I’m lying. Well, you know what? If Jason Smith is breathing, he is living a lie. There might not be another member of Congress who lives a lie every day more than Jason Smith. And Jason Smith knows exactly what I’m talking about. And by the way, so does almost every member of the House Republican caucus.

So, there’s a good deal of projection in Jason Smith calling me a liar when it’s Jason Smith who literally has to live a lie. And I honestly pity him for that because you know, it wouldn’t be something that– I wouldn’t live that way. I’ll just put it that way. So, Jason, I would check yourself before you come at me with any accusations of being dishonest about what I say, when you’re dishonest about how you live and what you do.

So what do we know about Smith?

He has voted anti-LGBTQ for years—in office since 2013—with a score of zero from the Human Rights Campaign. He condemned the Supreme Court’s marriage equality decision in 2015, saying he has “never wavered in my commitment to the biblical definition of marriage.”

Like most Republicans in the House, Smith voted against the Respect for Marriage last year, which protects same-sex marriage, and voted for the spending bills this year that added dozens of anti-LGBTQ provisions.

But unlike most Republicans in the House, Smith is 44 and single. And one of his closest friends in Congress for years—someone he traveled with on lavish trips—was none other than Illinois Congressman Aaron Schock, the closeted gay House member who resigned in 2015 amid a scandal that focused on his outrageous misuse of government funds, and eventually was indicted in 2016 for fraud and theft of government funds, among other charges.

Schock finally came out of the closet, announcing, “I am gay” in 2020.

Schock voted anti-gay throughout his time as a member of Congress—including against the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell"—even as rumors swirled about his sexual orientation. In earlier years, before becoming a House member, he flat-out denied he was gay, but during his time in Congress, he did everything to deflect from directly answering the question when asked.

When I approached him at the Republican National Convention in 2012 and asked if the rumors were true, he expressed outrage that I could even ask the question—but didn’t outright say no.

Asked on the floor of the RNC…to respond to those who’ve believed that Schock is gay and also view his vote against “don’t ask, don’t tell” repeal was a vote against members of his own group, Schock responded, “Those questions are completely ridiculous and inappropriate.” He added, when asked if he is confirming that he is not gay, “I’ve said that before and I don’t think it’s worthy of further response. I think you can look it up.” Schock then walked off, abruptly ending the interview.

Of course, Schock was totally gay, as he would later confirm—and voting against LGBTQ people. And during that time, one of his closest friends in Congress was Jason Smith.

Attention was brought to their relationship when the spotlight focused on the luxurious trips Schock was taking, often spending taxpayer dollars. As reported by The Hill in 2018:

Rep. Jason Smith (R-Mo.) joined his close friend Aaron Schock on campaign and government trips and exotic vacations in 2014 that are being scrutinized by federal investigators looking into alleged spending abuses by the former congressman, who resigned in March.

Revelations that Smith, 35, accompanied Schock on the campaign trip come the same week The Hill reported that Smith has hired Schock’s former chief of staff, Mark Roman, who managed the congressman’s office at the time of his spending scandal.
There’s no indication that federal prosecutors have questioned or sought records from Smith, but his participation on trips now under criminal investigation could drag one of Schock’s closest friends in Congress into his legal mess and undermine Smith’s political image as a humble, salt-of-the-earth fiscal conservative. The news has also led to chatter on Capitol Hill, where Roman’s hiring by Smith surprised many.

That story also reported on a trip that Smith took with Schock to Brazil along with two other House members, most of which was paid for by the Brazilian government.

But after the official business, the Hill reports, Schock, Smith, and several of their male aides headed to the Brazilian beach town of Canoa Quebrada, a gay-friendly resort spot.

Smith and Shock also went to Argentina with their aides, and the Hill reported on how unusual it was for members to take their aides on lavish vacations:

Later that December, Schock posted Instagram photos of himself, Smith, Roman, and Schock’s photographer, Jonathon Link, hanging out at a vineyard in the famed Mendoza wine region of Argentina and whitewater rafting the Andes rivers of Potrerillos. Schock paid Link thousands of dollars in taxpayer and campaign money to snap dramatic photos of him around the country and around the world.
Many of those photos ended up on Schock’s Instagram account. Some GOP aides said it was odd for lawmakers to be taking their staffers on exotic vacations.

As noted, one of the aides on both the Brazil trip and the Argentina trip was Roman, who, as the Hill reports, many were surprised Smith hired as his chief of staff, since he was managing Schock’s during the time of the spending scandal. Roman has now moved up from being Smith’s chief of staff to being staff director of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, which Smith chairs.

All of this makes Gaetz’s podcast that much more interesting. Gaetz has been a MAGA supervillain doing what he can to take down the GOP establishment, causing complete chaos. And information is power, especially if it’s being used as a weapon.

I have no problem with the truth being reported about a public figure when it’s relevant—such as if that person is voting anti-LGBTQ. And Gaetz is actually outing the entire GOP here, noting that every Republican knows about Smith’s alleged closet—while most of them rail against LGBTQ people. I’d just rather see solid facts than innuendo used as a threat.

So please, Matt Gaetz, flesh out all the details, and let’s hear about all the other GOP hypocrites. We’re all here for it!

'Mentally ill lunacy': Matt Gaetz thinks NSA is spying on him because of his 'whiteness'

    David Edwards

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) suggested the NSA could be targeting people like him for being white.

During his Thursday Firebrand podcast, Gaetz expressed outrage after conservative media outlet The Daily Wire claimed to have obtained a leaked NSA glossary of terms, including "whiteness" and "white supremacy."

"This glossary and its definitions provide a starting point for engaging in open and honest conversation, and is a tool meant to build a shared language of understanding," the document states.

"Wow," Gaetz said. "No group of humans in all of human history has ever been without a series of pretty bad actions, right? You get a group of humans together for long enough, we do bad things to one another. That goes back to biblical times."

"But white people have built some of the most durable and inclusive civilizations that have ever existed," he continued. "And, of course, mistakes have been made along the way."

ALSO READ: What is Trump planning if he gets a second term? Be worried. Be really worried.

Gaetz wondered why the NSA would be "cataloging and promoting any of this hysterical, mentally ill lunacy."

"Imagine the NSA intercepting your text messages and flagging any material deemed to support extremist beliefs like, there are only two genders, or men can't be misogynist to other men, or I'm not sorry that my ancestors created Western civilization," he remarked.

    We see the trend.
Anyone that american hater disagrees with is officially "mentally ill".

    But don't laugh to loud.
We're reminded that Trump claimed his campaign was being bugged.
And we recall the LOL banner american hater put on the copy N paste he shared with us on the issue.
Come to think of it, wasn't that a wrong story copy N paste as well?
    Huh.
Said Trump was delusional, didn't he?
And it turned out to be true, didn't it?
They really were spying on Trumps campaign.

Even Floridians don’t like Matt Gaetz.

A mere 21 percent of Floridians responded that they approve of the man they elected to congress while another 57 percent said they flat out disapprove of the job Gaetz has done since being elected, according to a Florida Atlantic University Mainstreet PolCom Lab survey. That’s a far cry from Gaetz’s results in the 2022 election, when he swept Florida’s 1st Congressional District by a margin of 35 percentage points.

The poll comes on the heels of several weeks of high drama sparked and stoked by the far-right congressman, in which he led a charge to oust former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy for daring to coordinate a bipartisan effort to avert a government shutdown. Since then, Gaetz has worked to aggressively divide and strong-arm the caucus alongside a minority cohort of conservative colleagues.

All that time in the limelight drew more attention to some of Gaetz’s other scandals, including the House Ethics Committee’s investigation into allegations of sexual assault and misuse of funds by the congressman.

In February, the Justice Department concluded its own investigation into Gaetz, opting against criminal charges relating to allegations of sex trafficking and sex with a minor, determining that they couldn’t bring a strong enough case to court.

“I am the most investigated man in the United States Congress,” Gaetz said during an October ethics inquiry

Despite all the bad press, Gaetz has trudged ahead, with rumors swirling that the controversial politician may run to unseat Florida Governor Ron DeSantis during the 2026 gubernatorial election. Gaetz has since snubbed the report as “overblown clickbait,” clarifying that his singular focus is getting Donald Trump elected to a second term in the White House.

Failing the longshot bid, Gaetz may be pushed out of politics altogether if he falls short on gathering the numbers to keep his current seat.

“The poll was not great for the congressman, but it’s early and these assessments can change,” Kevin Wagner, a pollster and political science professor at FAU, told Newsweek. “Even people that disapprove can still vote for him if they like the other choices less.”

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) gave President Joe Biden an F grade minutes after Hamas kept its promise to release Abigail Edan, a four-year-old American hostage.

During a Sunday interview with Gaetz on Fox News, host Mike Emanuel noted that Edan had been released.

"More hostages are being released, including today, including that precious four-year-old American girl," Emanuel remarked. "How do you grade President Biden's performance when it comes to the Israel-Hamas conflict?"

Gaetz said he was glad Edan was home but disapproved of Biden's policies on Iran.

ALSO READ: Nazis bullied a conservative Tennessee town. Locals punched back. Trump should be worried.

"So I would give Joe Biden an F, because he's allowing billions of dollars to be accessed in cash flow finance from Iran," Gaetz opined. "We already know what Iran will do with that. They will use it to extend their malign influence."

The Florida lawmaker suggested he would oppose any aid for Gaza.

"Let's not feed Hamas through these USAID and other so-called humanitarian programs," he insisted. "I don't know that we have a situation in Gaza where we can send aid that isn't controlled by Hamas."

See how american hater does it?

    Gaetz first said:
" he was glad Edan was home but disapproved of Biden's policies on Iran."
    Prompting american haters nonsensical rant:
"So you are going to cheer against President Biden getting a 4 year old American girl released fr0om Hamas?"
No, american hater, what Gaetz objects to is your fucked up fearless leader leaving a funding source open for the murderous motherfuckers who killed a 4 year olds parents in front of her and then kidnapped her.
And God only knows what horrors that little girl and the other hostages have and are suffering at their hands.

That your fearless leader and you, apparently, support and approve of.
