Just to be clear Hakeem Jeffries stayed steady with his votes. While Jordan lost more votes in every round. In fact he just set a new record for fewest votes cast for him by his own party.

And actually Jordan lost even bigger. they got behind closed doors and Jordan called for a secret vote where he got slaughtered. So he's out.

But once again this governing shit is just so hard the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans are taking the weekend off again.

House Republicans are moving back to square one after Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) failed to hold on to his status as speaker designate.

The Ohio Republican lost three votes in a row, each time with less support, to replace Kevin McCarthy as House speaker, and the GOP caucus held a secret ballot Friday afternoon to determine whether he would remain the party's nominee. He fell short.

"Jim Jordan lost a secret ballot. He’s no longer the speaker designate for the House GOP," reported Punchbowl co-founder Jake Sherman. "Margin was large, sources tell me."



Republicans will leave Washington, D.C., for the weekend and then hold a candidate forum Monday night to decide on a new nominee.

We see that the despicables have consistently cast their votes for Hakeem Jefries. Now, following the logic that the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over and hoping for a different outcome, we have to ask what the despicables have been drinking since, you know, they don't control enough votes to put Jeffries into power. And if they did, the deplorables would put a hammer lock on the house that wouldn't end until the 2024 elections.

The trumplican party want a trumptard as speaker to do the bidding for Der Fuhrer. McCarthy had the audacity to say Biden won the 202o election. So he was doomed from the start. Trump wants a speaker who's going to force a Gov shutdown, and has unquestioning loyalty to Trump.

Luckily so far, the GOP hasn't gone completely awol. But time will tell.

They did not like getting death treats for them and their families from Jordan's supporters. But cowardice is still their hallmark. The most that would take a public stand and vote against him was 25. But when they got a chance to vote on a secret ballot 112 voted against him.

Actually I think Kevin The Coward is more responsible because he empowered the far right extremists like Gaetz. He bent over backwards and sold his soul to them because he wanted to be Speaker so bad. So he gave the most stupid, ignorant, and mentally ill members power over him. And then was surprised when they used it against him because they are so stupid, ignorant, and mentally ill they will remove the House Speaker with no plan to replace him.

And can you imagine the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republican screams around here if it was the Democrats who had Congress paralyzed for thrs3ee weeks in a time of international crisis.



Kristen Welker to McCarthy: 'Do you bear some responsibility' for giving Gaetz power?

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) blamed Democrats after he gave Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) the power to oust him.

During an interview on Meet the Press, host Kristen Welker pointed out that McCarthy had been removed as speaker because he allowed a single member to bring a motion to "vacate the chair."

"I hear you invoking Democrats," Welker said. "I understand why the reality, though, is, as you know, Republicans control the House. Does this not come down to Matt Gaetz ultimately moving to oust you?"

"And therefore, do you bear some responsibility for this, Mr. Speaker, for agreeing to give him the deal in the first place to be able to remove you with just one vote?" she asked.

McCarthy insisted Democrats were at fault because they had voted for House Majority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (R-NY) instead of him. He also suggested Gaetz had ousted him over an ethics complaint.

"He has chosen with no plan, concerned about an ethics complaint that was registered against him in the last Congress, to try to go and move and shut it down," McCarthy opined. "This is a wrong approach. It's brought chaos. The Democrats went along with it, and they have blame too."

"I'll take whatever blame needed," he added. "But if the blame is on me for keeping government open and voting for the troops, I would do that again tomorrow."

Former Speaker of the House

(R-Calif.) said the Republican conference is in “a very bad place” amid chaos in the House over who should be the next Speaker.

“We’re in a very bad place right now, yes,” McCarthy said in response to a reporter who asked him if the GOP conference is “broken” in a clip posted on Friday.

McCarthy was ousted as speaker a few weeks ago by way of a bipartisan vote, leaving the House without a Speaker amid multiple crises like the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict and a looming government shutdown. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) failed three times in attempts to gain the gavel this week.


Seven of the eight Republicans who joined with House Democrats to vote McCarthy out of office then said they would be willing to accept punishment for their actions if holdouts to Jordan’s attainment of the Speakership came around with the rest of the conference.
