And you still can't give an answer as to what evidence did Mike Johnson attempt to overturn a free and fair election.

Mike Johnson Sidesteps Fox News Reporter’s Questions On His Previous Birth Control Stance

Newly-elected House Speaker Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.), who has a well-documented record against reproductive rights, claimed that he doesn’t recall voting against fertility treatments or birth control.

Johnson, who was elected by House Republicans to the speakership three weeks after former Speaker Kevin McCarthy was ousted from his post, made an appearance on Fox News Sunday with host

. While bringing up criticism from a political action committee called EMILY’s List, Bream asked where Johnson stood on issues regarding in vitro fertilization, birth control and abortion rights.

“He supported bans that would not only criminalize abortion, but ban IVF treatments and common forms of birth control, and that you voted against access to contraception,” Bream said to Johnson, quoting EMILY’s List. “Is that an accurate assessment of where you are? Because that’s not in step with the American people.”

A 2022 poll by Gallup found that 92% of Americans believed that taking birth control was morally acceptable and 62% believed that abortion was morally acceptable.

    Johnson disagreed with the assessment.

“I’m pro-life. I’ve said very clearly I’m a Bible-believing Christian. I believe in the sanctity of every single human life,” Johnson said. He went on to claim that there are more pressing issues that the lawmakers are dealing with at the moment — including government funding and international crises.

“To be clear, though, have you voted against fertility treatments and access to contraception? Would you?” Bream asked.

“I don’t think so. I’m not sure what they’re talking about. I really don’t remember any of those measures, but I am personally pro-life,” the “extreme” Louisiana Republican responded.

Up until recently, Johnson was a low profile member of Congress, but he has been a staunch supporter of anti-abortion efforts. For example, Johnson is one of 29 co-sponsors for a January 2023 bill aiming to defund Planned Parenthood. He also voted against the Right to Contraception Act — which still managed to pass in the House last year — that would codify access to birth control.

He has even spread unsupported claims that some forms of birth control are abortion medications, Rolling Stone reported.

A representative for Johnson did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s request for comment.

And here again is the question. What are so many treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans doing on a pron forum when it has always been a goal of the right to outlaw pornography. It makes no sense other than their deep down desires for porn and sex and their incredible guilt over that.

But this one goes even further. This is a man second in line to the presidency and receives the most highly classified meetings our government has. And yet he is so freaked out abut porn he is willing to compromise all that and give God knows how many others including our enemies access to it.

Also look at what else is happening here. The MAGA Christian Mike Johnson is bearing false witness and trying to dishonestly hide his past. Because it is not politically popular.

Mike Johnson tries to scrub social media of adult content monitor he shared with his son

Rolling Stone highlighted a 2022 video of new Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) from the "War on Technology” conference, where he confessed that he and his sons monitor each other's usage of adult videos online.

Johnson was at Benton, Louisiana’s Cypress Baptist Church, according to a video unearthed by social media user Receipt Maven this week. According to Rolling Stone, Johnson was talking about the "accountability software" he installed called Covenant Eyes on devices to ensure he didn't stray into unsavory websites.

“It scans all the activity on your phone, or your devices, your laptop, what have you; we do all of it,” Johnson explained. “It sends a report to your accountability partner. My accountability partner right now is Jack, my son. He’s 17. So he and I get a report about all the things that are on our phones, all of our devices, once a week. If anything objectionable comes up, your accountability partner gets an immediate notice. I’m proud to tell ya, my son has got a clean slate."

According to Receipt Maven, the concern about the technology service is that it might now "compromise" Johnson's devices.

“A US Congressman is allowing a 3rd Party tech company to scan ALL of his electronic devices daily and then uploading reports to his son about what he’s watching or not watching….,” Receipt Maven wrote. “I mean, who else is accessing that data?”

Johnson has spent the past several weeks scrubbing his social media, Receipt Maven noted on Sunday. One of those links included a "refer-a-friend" link to the software, where he pocketed $20 with every referral.

    Hilarious.
They've decided Johnson doesn't have their moral or ethical standards, such as they are, so they've concluded that destroying the man is the only proper course.

skewer the man because he's religious.
Skewer the man because he doesn't do porn.
Skewer the man because he believes in the sanctity of all life.
Skewer the man because he's going to put the skids on government spending.
Skewer the man because he's going to make Joe Biden answer the allegations of corruption.

Says more about American hating despicables than Johnson, doesn't it?

Skewer Mike Johnson because he attempted to overturn a free and fair election. Based on no credible evidence. That alone should disqualify him from holding any public office. But how does the repukes reward this traitor, they unanimously elect him speaker of the house.

Johnson like all trumptards, put his loyalty to Der Fuhrer above the constitution and the country.

Speaker Mike Johnson Once Tried to Stop a Queer Woman From Adopting Her Wife's Child

Newly Elected House Speaker Mike Johnson

House Speaker Mike Johnson’s conservative legal background before his congressional tenure is under scrutiny, along with positions he’s taken on critical issues before being under the spotlight. This includes the time he tried to stop a woman from adopting her wife's son.

According to a report by Accountable.US shared with USA Today, before his political ascent, the Republican, as a private attorney, represented Louisiana in several cases opposing LGBTQ+ rights expansion. Among these was a significant case where the state aimed to prevent a woman from adopting her wife’s biological son.

However, the case, along with others, became moot following the 2015 Supreme Court Obergefell verdict that implemented marriage equality nationwide.

The report also highlighted other instances where Johnson defended Louisiana’s ban on same-sex marriage and attempted to prevent same-sex couples from appearing together on a child’s birth certificate.

While Johnson’s association with the conservative Christian group Alliance Defending Freedom was known, his role as a private attorney in these new cases has not been widely reported until now, according to USA Today.

Related: Mike Johnson Says the Gays Ended Rome in Newly Released Audio Recordings

Caroline Ciccone, president of Accountable.US, told the paper that Johnson’s legal history “reveals even more about where his true allegiances lie,” suggesting his leadership pushes a “far-right agenda on everyday Americans.”

Recent revelations about Johnson’s archaic views on homosexuality have come out since he was elected speaker. Known for promoting gay conversion therapy, a discredited notion, Johnson has been recorded emphasizing the need for an “honest conversation about homosexuality,” stating, “It’s time for an honest conversation about homosexuality. There’s freedom to change. If you want to,” as per audio obtained by CNN. Johnson’s association with Exodus International, an antigay group known for its conversion therapy practices, mainly through an event called The Day of Truth, has further fueled concerns.

The founder of that group has apologized for the harm it did to queer people.

The disrepute surrounding conversion therapy, condemned by major medical and mental health organizations for its ineffectiveness and harmful impacts, especially among LGBTQ+ youth, casts a long shadow. Johnson’s involvement with socially conservative organizations and his staunch belief that homosexuality is a choice reflects deeper-rooted conservative views.

One case began in 2014, with a Louisiana court approving an intrafamily adoption, later contested by then-state attorney general Buddy Caldwell, USA Today reports.

The legal tug-of-war continued until a court ruling allowed the family their adoption rights, going against the state’s intervention.

In a separate case, Johnson represented Louisiana against seven same-sex couples seeking marriage rights. Although a district court initially upheld the state’s same-sex marriage ban, the ruling was appealed. Yet, the cases lost relevance after the 2015 Supreme Court decision declaring such bans unconstitutional.

Before becoming Speaker, Johnson was relatively unknown outside Louisiana and Washington’s political circles. His conservative leanings were visible through his opposition to legalizing same-sex marriage and co-sponsoring legislation to curtail abortion rights. Johnson’s earlier tenure as a lawyer and spokesperson for the Alliance Defending Freedom, where he actively advocated for conservative social issues, was also highlighted in the report.

The report by Accountable.US noted Johnson’s representation in cases concerning abortion rights and religious matters, including a 2003 case advocating for a Ten Commandments monument in Alabama. This move was later ruled against by the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, citing a violation of the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause

Republican spending bill implodes over 'embarrassing' birth control spat

Another government funding bill from Republicans was pulled on Thursday morning after many leaders refused to back several pieces of the bill, including one aimed at overturning a law that barred companies from discriminating against employees who use birth control.

The birth control plank was just one of dozens of amendments that were added to the bill from Republican lawmakers, as House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) pledged to pass the budget by the Nov. 17 shutdown deadline.

According to Politico, there were more than 100 amendments proposed in all, including some that drew rebukes from swing-district Republicans.

Rep. Max Miller (R- OH) called it “embarrassing" and "incredibly upsetting” that House GOP leadership had to pull the final passage of the funding bill, reported CNN's Annie Grayer. He went on to bash his colleagues for hyper-partisan amendments to bills that must pass to keep the government open.

The law being targeted by the House GOP is a local Washington, D.C. ordinance that prevents any employer from discriminating against a worker who seeks contraception or family planning services. The GOP bill would block that from taking effect.

In an interview Sunday, Johnson was asked by Fox's Shannon Bream about some of his extreme opinions and bills regarding birth control.

"I really don't remember any of those measures," he told her.

Speaker Johnson agreed to sponsor HR 431, which would ban birth control using the idea of "personhood," giving full legal rights to fertilized eggs. It would ban IUDs and other forms of birth control.

After the U.S. Supreme Court handed down the Dobbs decision, activists warned that birth control would be targeted, with far-right leaders seeking to block coverage of it or ban it entirely.

    Wow.
Now thats low, even for american hater. So tell us about some more of those 100 ammendments, and while you're at it you can mention that Johnson has, in one week, gotten several spending bills herded through so that now only 5 of 12 spending bills remain.

And I said this before but I think its worth repeating. First Johnson wants to join a suit that nearly all Republican legal advisors in the House said was dangerously stupid. That would backfire and blow up in their faces when the Supreme Court wiped their noses with it. But to make if look like a bigger deal Johnson told the Republican members of the House it was something Trump wanted and he would be watching to see who all DIDN'T SIGN ON. A veiled threat that Trump would have them primaried if they didn't sign on. Which is how he got so many tress nous conservative/America Hating/Republicans in the House to sign on.

But at the same time Johnson was also pushing the "Independent Legislature Theory" which said the Constitution gives state legislatures the sole power to name electors and they can name any electors they want regardless of the majority vote. Nothing short of turning red states into dictatorships.

Fortunately the Texas lawsuit Johnson and the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans signed onto turned out to be laughable as the legal advisors said it would be because they were asking the Court to throw out the election results in other states. To which the court said .....

.... "Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections,"

    https://www.texastribune.org/2020/12/11/texas-lawsuit-supreme-court-election-results/

But the much more frightening and dangerous case was the Independent State Legislature. Now that one could have literally ended democracy and allow the gerrymandered Republicans with minority rule to just dictate the winners of elections no matter what the vote was. The Supreme Court also rejected that but the case had people holding their breath because with the partisan conservative majority they could have ended democracy and they had justices willing to go along.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday repudiated the most extreme form of a controversial legal theory that, if adopted, would have radically reshaped the way elections are conducted, giving state legislatures virtually unchecked power to decide election rules.

By a 6-to-3 vote, the court rejected the so-called Independent State Legislature theory advanced by the Republican-dominated North Carolina state legislature. Writing for the court majority, Chief Justice John Roberts said that the U.S. Constitution does not, as the lawmakers had claimed, insulate their actions from review by the state courts. To the contrary, he said, state legislative power is constrained by the federal and state constitutions, as well as ordinary state laws.

    https://www.npr.org/2023/06/27/1181...ate-legislature-theory-supreme-court-decision

But the most important thing isn't that the Supreme Court rejected these attempts. The most important thing is that Johnson and the treasonous conservative/America Hating/Republicans even tried them because it nothing more than trying to end democracy in this country because they can't win elections. And they will not stop trying.

And that is what is really on the ballot in 2024. Do we want a Constitutional democracy or an authoritarian dictatorship?

Now to understand the significance of this the first thing you have to do is understand what Christian Nationalism is.

Christian nationalism, ideology that seeks to create or maintain a legal fusion of Christian religion with a nation’s character. Advocates of Christian nationalism consider their view of Christianity to be an integral part of their country’s identity and want the government to promote—or even enforce—the religion’s position within it.

    https://www.britannica.com/topic/Christian-nationalism

Got that. Not the Constitution. Not equal rights. Not democracy. Not even freedom of relation, What they want is for our nation to be governed by Sharia Law For Christians enforced by the American Taliban. A theocracy instead of a democracy.

And the House Speaker, second in line to the presidency, is trying to make that happen.

Which should terrify all of us.

Why Is Mike Johnson Flying a Christian Nationalist Flag Outside His Office?

House Speaker Mike Johnson has three flags hanging outside his office: the American flag, the Louisiana state flag, and a flag representing a movement that wants to turn the United States into a religious Christian nation.

    Normal stuff, you know?

The flag is white with a green evergreen tree in the middle and the phrase “An Appeal to Heaven” at the top. A report published Friday by Rolling Stone confirmed that the flag is outside his district office in Washington.

The flag was originally used as a banner during the Revolutionary War, but over the past decade, it has been embraced by a sect of Christianity called the New Apostolic Reformation, or NAR. A central tenet of NAR’s belief system is that it is God’s will for Christians to take control of all aspects of U.S. society—including education, arts and entertainment, the media, and businesses—to create a religious nation.

The NAR fully embraced Donald Trump when he announced he was running for office, endorsing him early on and helping endear him to other Christian movements. As a result, the Appeal to Heaven flag has become popular among Trump supporters.

The flag has appeared in photos of far-right politicians and election deniers such as Doug Mastriano, the Trump-endorsed candidate for Pennsylvania governor. Mastriano lost to Democrat Josh Shapiro.

The flag was also everywhere at the January 6 insurrection. Rolling Stone estimated that there may have been hundreds of Appeal to Heaven flags throughout the mob.

It should not be surprising that Johnson subscribes to the NAR belief system. He has a well-documented history of opposing abortion access, LGBTQ rights, and environmental policy on the grounds that they are non-Christian.

But it’s upsetting and deeply concerning that he is able to embrace it so openly without so much as a slap on the wrist. What’s more, Rolling Stone’s revelation comes just days after the House of Representatives censured Rashida Tlaib for her comments about Israel and Palestine.

Republicans have previously harangued Tlaib, the only Palestinian American member of Congress, for flying a Palestinian flag outside her district office. The GOP has accused her of antisemitism for showing pride in her nationality.

But even if supporting Palestinian civilians were inherently antisemitic (it’s not), it’s unclear how that is different from what Johnson is doing. The creation of a Christian nation implies the elimination of all other religions. But somehow, no one is censuring Johnson for it.
