My support for the foster parent program brought nothing but vitriolic responses from you. Why? Because you had a bad experience with it??? Whenever you have bureaucratic oversight, you have a perfect situation for abuse.

Even though my family had a wonderful experiences with dozens of children, you presume to know better. Even though thousands have had similarly good experiences. When NY State ran the program though local offices it worked well.

I have never campaigned for the abandonment of the children of this or any other country. To the contrary, for decades I have advocated for sound, reasoned and well managed public welfare programs that actually help people help themselves. I have similarly advocated for the same in here.

The answer is not more money, we are spending billions right now. The answer is spending it more wisely, with programs that reward individual acheivment. The answer is getting the kids out of abusive, self destructive envioroments and into safe, healthy and loving conditions.

Now if you can find something sinister in my position, let's see it.

On the subject of wartime civilian deaths, let's examine all deaths, not just the ones that you want to talk about. Look at the regional history, examine the centuries of death and strife inflicted on those who disagreed with current tyrants views or religion.

War is hell, it should be outlawed forever, how do we do it???

Slain toddler identified as killer's son

(06-19) 17:37 PDT TURLOCK -- Stanislaus County authorities confirmed on Thursday the identity of a young boy whose father beat and stomped him to death Saturday night on a rural road outside Turlock, an attack that left the child unrecognizable.

As investigators suspected, he is 2-year-old Axel Casian. He is the biological son of Sergio Aguiar, a 27-year-old Turlock grocery store worker who was shot dead by a Modesto police officer who arrived at the chilling scene in a helicopter, said Deputy Royjindar Singh, a spokesman for the Sheriff's Department.

The Stanislaus County coroner also released a cause of death - blunt force trauma with multiple cranial fractures. The agency is awaiting the results of toxicology tests for both father and son.

Investigators don't know why Aguiar, who had recently split up from his wife, savagely attacked his son after 10 p.m. outside his pickup truck, telling motorists who pulled up that he had to "get the demons out" of the boy, Singh said.

The "get the demons out" line makes one think that he might have been found innocent by reason of insanity. But, we'll never know, will we?

 

As far as I know rookies do not fly in the helo, but even if he was he could not of picked a better asshole for a justified shoot. Score one for the good guys.

 

I applaud the cop that killed that bastard. It's just so sad that it was too late.
