Two part question:

1) What makes you bi?

2) My girlfriend says she isn't bisexual. However, she has gone to 2nd base with other women in the past (both under the influence of alcohol and not), she admits to being turned on at the time, she has sexual fantasies involving other women, AND she admits that if she was already turned on and a woman came on to her, she wouldn't decline.
I say this constitutes bisexuality. But she says that when she sees women on the street, she doesn't have sexual thoughts concerning them, and at most merely notices how pretty they are. And because of those reasons, she isn't bisexual. Is she?

No. I am just about the same as he described. I am not bisexual either. To be bisexual I think you have to be attracted to men and women. I am only ever attracted to very few women.

Lisa, are you attracted to ALL men or only some? It's a relative thing...if any woman turns you on and you would consider sleeping with them, I would say that person is Bi.

It is completely different to 'find women attractive'---I think most women will admit to finding other women attractive, but wouldn't sleep with them.

Guys have a harder time admitting that they think another guy is good-looking, because that admission, supposedly, will automatically mark them as 'gay'.

It is the consideration (and, of course, follow-through) of sex with someone of the same sex that is an indicator of bisexuality. Most people, however, never 'follow through'.

 

I have a female friend who is the same way. She insists she is not bisexual but she places w4w personal ads, and she has told me encounters with both men and women, but she is not bi. She also insists she is faithful to her husband. Denial is an amazing thing.

 

I am not sexually attracted to every woman i see, being sexually attracted to a gender is just that, sexually attracted, it doesn't matter if every girl you see attracts you or one in a million. At the end of the day you still said you were sexually attracted to a woman. If you're sexually attracted but having had no action then you are at the least bi-curious. If you are sexually attracted and have had girl-girl experiences then it puts you in the bisexual category. Kissing even counts if it turns you on and you desire more. Otherwise enjoy Egypt for the duration of your stay.

 

What makes you a bisexual is if you think of members of both sexes in a sexual manner, [basically, men and women turn you on].

In my own bisexuality, i would say that at first consideration of what you've mentioned in your second question there, it seems like your girlfriend is bi. But then there are little phrases in there that make me second guess it... like "if she was already turned on and a woman came onto her". So it could be, but then again, if she says she isn't bi, there's really nothing you can do about it anyway, so if she isn't, you just have to take her word for it haha.

 

as i see it

FACT: 14% of women in the us admit to being bi. Here's my observation after having had multiple relationships with bisexual women, I'd say most women do have some bisexualality in them. It seems you are dealing with just this sort of lady. But we as men can't push this point. Just be cool and see if it gets you a threesome. good luck
