i think.. they're pretty much the same thing..

yet..a whore,could mean someone that gets paid to fuck.
while a slut,just likes to sleep around.

The difference between a whore and a slut is that a whore is well paid and highly respected for what she does.

They're actually opposites.

A whore is someone who has sex for ulterior motives. ANYONE who has ever wanted ANYTHING in exchange for or as a prerequisite to sex. Most (the ones that ask for money openly usually being the exception) whores are also prudes, otherwise they wouldn't want, need, or seek incentive.

A slut is the complete opposite; someone who wants sex pure and simple, and is usually not content with a single partner.
