  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

Virgin was showing off their launch craft today for passenger space flight - so my question is, if money was no issue would you fly in to space with Virgin - in an untested craft?

Recalling Richard Branson's "adventurers" in some of the other craft he flew in that were "new technology", I think I'll wait, until he's tested it a bit more. Thanks. ;)

Bye for now - Fluffy McNoo. ;)

"Volunteer"ing might not be an option, Mr. Branson will want big bucks before you board.

Richard Branson's is the money behind the project and Burt Rutan is the brains behind this craft, I've been watching the designs of Rutan for years and I totally trust him. I'd go.. what am I risking anyways "old age" the hell with that...lol

WhiteKnightTwo is a specially designed jet carrier aircraft, built to haul the passenger and crew-filled SpaceShipTwo to release altitude of roughly 50,000 feet.

Once on its own, SpaceShipTwo guns itself on a suborbital trek to over 68 miles (109 kilometers) high, reaching a speed of just over three times the speed of sound, and then returns its six rubber-necking tourists and two pilots back to Earth.

I'm not altogether too sure of the thought process behind this venture. Surely in this day and age, with the threat of global warming and holes in the ozone layer we should be looking at reducing pollution on the planet and not adding to it with money making schemes like these.

I understand the thrill Richard Branson may feel when his aircraft leaves earth's orbit, but isn't this just another example of someone with too much money to burn?

There are much better ways to spend money - one of them investing in the furthering of alternative fuel for mass production. In the day of rising travel costs due to the stronghold the oil companies have, as well as increased fares for air travel (to reduce people flying too often because of the damage to the ozone layer) RBs new venture seems to me to be flippant at best.

What are their success rates? I am assuming they are high enough we still do them, so probably would be my answer.

Best definition is a "sub" space flight, it never leaves the earths gravitational influence.

    Why?

    What's the point?

Branson seems to think that exploring the possibilities of living in space...as opposed to just having a quick joyride in it...is a viable alternative to sorting out the problems we have created for ourselves whilst living on this planet.

Are you trying to tell me the same mistakes wouldn't be made elsewhere too?

Isn't ONE planet enough for humankind to fuck up?

It's a little boy's dream to go into space. How can I not pay homage to the younger me? I would love to but I'd rather go to the moon, walk around for a while.

If the first flight/test flight was free I would do it. Not if it cost money though. I'm not paying for my possible death lol.
