There are actually two kinds of death 1) natural or physical and the other pyschological or spiritual. For ex. Adam was told that in the day that he eats from the tree of knowledge of good and evil he shall surely die, but yet Adam lived 930 yrs and then died. The day that he ate of the tree he was driven out of the garden that is the day that he pyschologicly or spiritually died but yet his natural or physical body died 930 yrs later. Which also means that he died in the day. 2nd Peter 3:8 also 1st Cor 15:21,22.

you have to remember something though, time was different, biblically speaking anyway, so what if a year wasn't 12 months, but instead it lasted oh say a month, in our terms he would've lived to be 77 and a half, but in that time it could've been 930
