What you don't seem to understand is that Moses wrote what was shown to him when he was in the mount. Moses received a vison while he was in the mount for forty days and nights. What you think he up there clearing his lungs. Also what Moses told the scripes they wrote down. Plus the so-called New Testament confirms what was written in the Old Testament.

 

ok this is a little hard to explain, i don't put much stock into the Bible mainly because it was written by the hand of man and man is fallible and is going to impose his own beliefs into anything he writes, history is written by the winners

But you can't use the Gregorion calender you have to use the Hebrew calender because the Gregorion calender it was by the same institution that inserted things into and took things out of the bible, thats why people don't trust organized religion mainly the Roman Chatholic Church.

As we now use the Gregorian calendar, we should translate dates and ages to correspond, otherwise we really did have super beings who lived to nearly 1,000 years.

so the real problem here is men with agendas chose which books to put in the Bible and altered the ones that were already there

 

but common sense should tell you that a man cannot live to be 930. today or yesterday we are the same homo sapien species. plus lets say they could, such a trait would be beneficial for the survival of the species and be passed on though genetics to the next generations. we would evolve. evolution doesn't work backwards. we would not gain such a survival advantage then lose it to time. then again, i'm thinking scientifically...

Because there is still truth in the scriptures you just have to know how to decern. 2nd Tim 3:17 Its just some passages have been rearranged and some words replaced. An old (1967 or older edition) The Scofield Reference Bible pretty much have the correct wording and the Holy Name Bible ( which is hard as hell to find ) have the correct and true names in it.

 

You realize, don't you, that this is a perfect example of circular logic...you start from the assumption that the Bible MUST be correct, and therefore, if it APPEARS to be incorrect, it must be because you are wrongly interpreting it. But if you alter the interpretation to the correct one, the Bible is now correct, because it MUST be correct.

But I'll bet you that, whatever version of the Bible you're looking at, it still says the sun, the stars and the planets revolve around the Earth.

 

well what about the translation factor? meaning is lost in translation and the Bible's been translated many, many times from the original Aramaic, to Greek, to Latin, to English

There lies the problem interpretaion and translation. You can't interpret something you don't understand to make everyone else understand, this is what causes confusion. Plus there is nowhere in the bible that says that the sun, moon and stars revolve around the earth. Also tranlation is a big calprit because when you translate there is always something lost in the translation therefore you have to transliterate instead of tranlate. Which most of the bible was tranliterated but what they couldn't transliterate they translated. Which has caused many disagreements about the meaning of the scriptures therefore causing mass confusion.
