This changes frequently for me but for now I would have to go with Prison Sex from the Undertow album.

 

Holy fuck this is actually pretty tough. There are so many I like for different reasons and when in different moods. I might try to break it down like that and make a list, but as it stands I couldn't pick one.


I do love the line from the song you mentioned prison sex: I have found some kind of temporary sanity in this shit, blood, and cum on my hands.

 

Since I don't know many, I'm going to have to go with The Pot.

As for me, Opiate comes to mind but one can not pick a favorite when one is surrounded by excellence. Best rock band in the last 30 years. They are so far above everyone else it's really not a proper comparison. I can't honestly think of any other band that can currently touch them.

I'm a big Tool fan. It would by unfair of my to compartmentalise why I like them their music offers something for every mood and feeling - they are my favourite band. If pressed I would say that Hooker With A Penis and Lateralus are among my favourite songs.

 

I thought I would follow Shake's lead in the other music thread ans post some links to what I think are some pretty damn good songs.

lateralus was always up there..
but lately i find myself really into wings for marie/10000 days, i really like that maynard has never really gone into that kind of lyrical territory before..but they pulled it off.
but i'd have to say if i had to make a choice..it would be Third Eye.

I had to ask for a long time before I ever found anyone that knew what Forty Six and 2 was in reference to. I didn't really use a computer back then so finding out wasn't quite so easy. I like it even more now that I know.

 

Hmm.. Well, the most played song by Tool on my computer is "Vicarious" from 10, 000 Days.
But I love Jambi too, however.. and Parabol and Parabola.
