I was watching the basketball game played between the China & USA. Man, the game was superb to watch. Who said that Chinese were short? Those guys were taller than the African American men. But in the end the Americans showed whos game basketball really is.

The cuban womens volleyball team gets my vote for the ugliest team. Rude I know, I can't help it. Voodoo masked lady on that team. We were partyin and watchin it. Freaked me out. Those USA male swimmers made my blood boil. HotI love you all sorry for double post

 

In my opinion most gymnasts look youger then they really are. I'm not too sure if the girls on the Chinese are underaged, but if they are, well what is the world coming to. Cheating in the Olympics, man has the world (or at least just China) gone done just for a few medals.

Also, I did enjoy that basketball game and the swimming!!!

 

I think we may be missing the point here. Has China come of age? You bet they have and are now one of the biggest economic and military powers on earth. Then the real question becomes has China changed. To that I would answer I ain't so sure.

 

As an observation, I would like to point out that China has three times our population and then some, and that their domestic growth is slightly under ours. When they have triple our money earned in a year, then I'll say they've filled the shoes

 

I think they are learning quick though. Somewhere last week on the forum was a thread or post that said China had cut a deal with Iraq for oil, which would cut us out.

I'm not sure why they have the age limit anyway. My impression is that it was to stop younger girls from being exploited, not because younger girls have some kind of competitive advantage.

But in any case, how is anyone going to prove anything? I assume the teams all had to provide some sort of documentation. Is there a reliable test to determine someone's age?

 

He may know, but he's also not objective -- he'd love to be able to disqualify a competitive team.
