I like comics...some American, Canadian, British.(Beano, Dandy, Hotspur, Desperate Dan...)
The superheroes, Ripley, war comics, I read the occasional ones in the paper.

 

I meant more along the lines of comic books and whatnot, but that works too

The British ones come in hardcover,~ 200pgs
The others are all comics, darn it!

Superman,definitely, but I don't have a large collection, how about Archie, Scooby Doo. Richie Rich , some of "The Hulk", and Fantastic Four.
I have to go back a lot of years!

Superman is DC. Hulk, Fantastic Four is (are?) Marvel. I don't know about Richie Rich and the other two though. Not my style really

 

How about "Vampirella" or "Heavy Metal"?

 

I'm a huge comic-book nerd. I love the feeling of getting a new comic, or reading even the online comics...

I just finished The Watchmen, and quite enjoyed it.

 

For the first time? It's a really good graphic novel. Even the mainstream critics loved it. Are you excited for the film coming out soon? It's one of those that is said to be unmakeable. We'll find out. There's a lot of things that need to be kept for the movie to work out, thank god I'm not cursed with being the guy to edit it all out.

 

Used to be...out of touch for years now, but I could talk about the 'old days'....I think...

 

I'm just now reading all the 80s big events in DC so you'd be right about on the same thinking level with me. Unless of course you mean the old old days, the golden age

I like JTHM and Squee, but I don't know if those are considered as 'comics'

 

Jack, when I was young, I used to read BATMAN (my fav), Green Lantern, FLASH and a few other DCS...MARVEL----FF, X-Men, Daredevil, Spider-Man. We're talking 70s-late 80s here----I also went back and bought a lot of 50s & early 60s, particularly BATMAN----but I have been out of it since about 1990...

Oh, when I saw the advertisements for the movie I freaked out. Shame, though, I enjoyed the few moments of the trailer almost more that "The Dark Knight"

But, I haven't actually read any Batman comics. Comics are so much like movies: So many great ones, but not near enough time to actually read them all.

i own books one through ten of the sandman, plus endless nights. they are absolutely gorgeous, and captivating every time i read them.

i never really got into 'regular' comic books, probably because i have a need to read everything from beginning to end, start to finish, which can be hard to do.
