Incest is a problem in many cultures but accepted in others. I worked with a guy from Egypt who had plans on offering his daughters to his brothers and cousins as wives when the got old enough. In his mind it was a disgrace if a girl married outside the family.:???:

 

Probably goes wayyy back to when the pharoahs married their sisters. Truly a cultural thing. Man do some of these people here get mad about it.

Incest is likely not a good idea at any age............poisoning the neighbors dog on the other hand.....Hmmmmm. Would have been much less of a puzzler if you'd said cat.

One question though.......In Arkansas, when a boy and girl fall in love and get married. Are they still considered brother and sister?

Yes, we always considered it a "perfect marriage," after all being relatives they can never get rid of one another, so there are much fewer divorces and children ruined as a result. Arkansas is such a great state. Bill & Hillary (or was it Hilarious?) came from there.

 

Speaking from my own experiences, incest is good. My dad iniated me to sex when I was 12, and I've been enjoying it ever since!

 

I might be going against the norm on this one but I can't help but think about Adam & Eve. They were told to be fruitful and multiply. They 1st had Cain and then Able. We all know the story about what happen with them. But when Cain took a wife he had to take his sister as a wife. For there were no other women besides Eve that were created except the ones that Eve gave birth to. That being said, throughout history you have incest. It was because of incest that some monarchies continued on. I'm not saying that it is right but you have to look at it in a responible way. If you both are of consenting age (18) and both agree, then that's a decision you should be able to live with. Two minors doing it could be (again not saying that it is right) just exploring each others bodies, cause sometimes kids don't know any better and would rather do it with a sibling or cousin first. But a consenting adult and a minor is just wrong.

Who said Adam was the father of the girls. Eve was the mother and Abel and Cain the fathers, needed to get more genetic diversity. They didn't want to start a race of idiots. (Or did they?)

There are differences though..

Baptists believe in every word, seeing the Bible more like a "history book" where as for Catholics, the meaning behind the stories is more important.
