Think about it this way man... If you knew John Smith down the street owned a 12 gauge shotgun, a .45 semi auto as well as an assortment of other guns, would you really want to break in his house, murder his family and rape his wife?? The flip side of the issue is though that there would be more gun-related crimes, more dumb kids playing with them and shooting their friends, and possible mass chaos. It's one thing to require everyone to have a gun in Alabama, but think about a place like New York.. You want all the impoverished people, homeless people, and gangs to all be ALLOWED to have access to guns? For the first few years at least, it would be total chaos.

 

It doesn't matter if gangsters were allowed gun access or not, they're going to get ahold of them 1 way or another. The majority of guns used in crimes are obtained illegaly anyways. If Kids were taught about guns then you wouldn't hear about stupid kids finding their dads .357 and accidentally killing their brother. I was taught at a very young age that guns should always be treated with respect and care, never to point them at another human being and to always treat a gun as if its loaded.

If the kids are taught to handle the guns responsibly, then that won't matter. Even then theres a thing called a gun safe. I've had quick access to guns since I was 13, but I was never dumb enough to use them guns irresponsibly. I remember when I was in high school there was this one teacher whos son also went to school with me. He was home by himself up in his room playing video games or something and he heard some noises, turns out someone was breaking into their house. So he grabbed his shotgun and cocked it, the guy shit his pants and left. If he didn't have a gun, lord knows what could've happened. He could've been murdered, the house could've been burned down, all kinds of stuff could've happened.

I wish all those anti gun people out there would just relax. You don't have to like guns. there are alot of people that like stuff I don't like. I'm not really supportive of gay marriage, but if you want to marry a person of your same sex go ahead. I'm not going to protest your right to do so. Don't protest my right to defend myself or the ones I love or my right to feed/entertain myself. If guns were illegal, there would be a whole lot more starving people than there are now.
