  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    Thanks, Stumbler (and Tina.)

Now, I will just sit back and wait for the responses that refuse to understand and turn back to "Fucking Arabs! Kill 'em all! Them and their leader Al Kyda, or whatever the hell his name is!"

Friend spits tobacco juice, "I think it's Obama or something like that!"

"Yeah! Obama and his fucking Arabs! Sticking it to us and holding out on oil! Nuke 'em all to hell! And John McCain's the only one to do it!"

    "Don't forget Two-Gun Sarah!"

"Hell, yeah! The babe with the glasses and guns! Her too!"

    .......or some such...

Actually thanks to both of you for reading this.

And I know and you know that I'm a Barack Obama supporter. But I want to make this clear. What drew me to him in the first place and makes me fight for him is his energy policy where he wants to make a national effort to eliminate out oil addiction within the next ten years.

Stumbler you have given me a different perspective on the YoYo effect of gas prices ~ thank you. In my shallow way of thought processes I understood the costs to be reflective on the effects of supply and demand. I suppose to some degree this is still true ... such as summer prices at the pumps. Nonetheless, having such a reserve to horde and hide is apauling almost to the point of raping the innocent consumers.

Oh well, I suppose no business or industry is free of crookery.

Have we, the people, truely allowed the 'powers that be' to back us into corners that will be so difficult to slither out of???

I sure hope he can do this without allowing the "energy" companies to create a monopoly on alternative energy and continue to fleece th the public. That's what they are trying to do. They will buy up patents and such and try to continue to screw everybody if they can. Being mostly international companies it will be hard to control them. A privately owned wind farm is being built here and the cables will run due south into New England and bypass us. The enrgy thats being produced by our local elect co. by wind costs more than what we have been getting fro the La Prue nuclear plant in New Brunswick. That plant is a real disaster. They have repaired cracks in the reactor with epoxy, rather than rebuild it.

Check out "Who killed the electric car" sometime. Great documentary. A man finally invented (the grandfather of) the Lithium Battery so electric cars (which were only getting 30 minutes of use before they needed recharging) could run for several hours if not more before needing a plug in. GM (who was at the time CRUSHING...literally... all of their EV-electric car after REPOing them from the owners) bought his patent and quickly locked it away in their vaults or destroyed it. The inventor though he was doing some good and instead, he unwittingly helped nail a big fucking screw into the coffin of the electric car.

The short version is that the electric car is a one time, lump sum investment. GM and the few other auto makers who were producing these cars realized that they weren't getting any "long term" profits from these cars because electric cars don't need their parts replaced. OIL is what fucks up your car. It builds up, collects impurities, gunks up the engine, etc. Electric cars simply need their tires rotated.

I can only imagine what the car and oil companies have planned to dominate the "energy" industry.

it has nothing to do with republicans or democrats for that matter.. the whole market collapsed.. every commodity.. including gold, steel, oil, wheat, aluminum.. literaly everything has crashed due to fears of a slowing economy.. plus the facts of raising prices in every commodity has risen over the past 5 years.. its gotta come down sometime.. and nows that time

its funny how people will blame republicans for gas prices.. when the democrats refuse to drill in the US....

$3.29 last night. Usually things only fall this slowly in zero gravity. Why haven't WE seen prices drop like elsewhere in the U.S.?????

gas here is $3.17 last i checked at the pump nearest me. So, I don't care if it's a secret agenda, I don't care if it's because of politics...

I'm just glad I don't have to spend over $100 any time I fill up completely at the pump at the moment in a freakin standard 4 door sedan.

what we need to do is tell those fucking oil companies and their political chumps to quit milking fossil fuels down to the last drop and start implementing alternative energy sources that are clean, renewable and inexhaustible.

    SOLAR
    WIND
    GEO THERMAL
    WAVE/TIDAL
    ELECTRIC VEHICLES

these are all cheaper to produce and therefore can be sold cheaper than oil

i'm sick of the public being treated like closed mouthed and blind idiots. we're not all the same!!!!!

You are absolutely correct. The elements of supply and demand are always there. While many abuses can be laid at the doorstep of greed, and rightly so, the real culprit, and incidentally a victim as well, is the user. Don't use nor buy the product and ultimately the price of that product will go down. Unrealistic with respect to fuel?, Of course, but ask your selves this question. If anyone here had complete control of a commodity in short supply would you not try get as much for it as we could. If you say no than you are probably lying to yourself
The world of commerce is not a philantrophy. It is based on profit and the results of profit are the very jobs at which many of you work. Profit is not a dirty word. It is what provides jobs for the entire society. No corporation has ever been started as a philantrophic endeavor just to create jobs. Employment is the result of a successful profit making enterprise and unfortunately at times when profits wane jobs are gone.. Only the government that makes no profit, creates debt and whose sole purpose is to redistribute your hard earned income to others can be considered a philantrophic enterprise. If any anger be directed it should be in that direction and on both parties in Congress.
