  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

yes sir, but I think that element is a tad overblown . . . besides, the not-so-bigoted conservatives I've conversed with are planning on leaving McCain in bunches - they consider him a ideological traitor and not well suited to high office. If the polls show Obama ahead by a healthy margin, I think we'll see quite an unexpected exodus from McCain.

I hope you are right. I had been thinking the fat lady had already sang until I read this. It was two decades ago so my hope is people have become less racist in that time.

Well, I mean, there's always the chance that McCain could win. Al Gore won in 2000 and didn't become president.
I want Obama to win becuase I think he has good ideas. I don't like all of his ideas, but well, nobodies perfect. I really want him to win.

But I wouldn't be suprised if the Republicans were to be involved in some shenanigans to make everything a mess. Oh, god help us if that senile old fool becomes President. And can you imagine what would happen every month with Palin in office!? With her finger on the button? Gah!

Moderate, but not much. Powell is a respected guy, and I think now whatever few conservative blacks there were, they're all going to Obama now. Not many, but it helps.

While I agree that Obama will be subjected to a hidden racism factor I don't think it will be enough to get McCain elected. Although the Obama campaign has underplayed this for obvious reasons they have also studied it hard and seem confident they have enough percentage points to overcome it.

It is also worth noting that a lot of this springs from what they call the Bradley factor where a black man was running for mayor of Los Angeles, had a big lead going into the polls and then still lost the election. As Michelle Obama recently pointed out that was close to a generation ago and things actually have changed since then.

There are three other factors that I think should be considered. The most important of those are the number of young and first time voters that have registered for this election. The vast majority of them are Obama supporters and far less influenced by race then their parents might be. Also Obama is picking up momentum in two very important categories. The size of the crowds he is drawing and the amount of campaign contributions he is collecting. Both of these have shown dramatic increases in the past couple of weeks. Those indicate that his supporters will actually get out and vote.

All that being said could McCain still win? Yes. The Obama Campaign in very keen on this and has shifted a lot of the emphasis of their campaign on not believing he can win without a huge voter turn out. There is also still a possibility that the Republicans could pull off some kind of October surprise and I would put nothing past them.

But these appear unlikely at this point because the GOP is fractured at this point and turning on each other.

If the worst happens, still I wouldn't worry too much about her as long as it's McCain actually sitting in the Oval Office..In spite of their evilness and corruption, it can't have escaped the notice of the other Republicans how much of an unqualified idiot Palin is..

Hopefully the so-called "pitbull" will be kept on as tight a leash as possible..

The chief danger as I see it is if McCain should be elected and then suddenly die..

Even then, I think Sarah Palin would do such a spectacularly BAD job as president that she'd probably wind up getting her ass impeached for something!

I could be wrong about all this, but I think this obvious fanning of the flames of racism will backfire on McCain. Sure, there are plenty of racists in the U.S., but there are also a lot of good people who recoil when they see political rallies becoming indistinguishable from Klan rallies except for the burning cross. When you see these McCain/Palin supporters frothing at the mouth and screaming about "terrorist!", "Muslim!", "socialist!", "kill him!"....I think it's shocking to normal people, and those normal people will tell themselves: "I'm not like that."
