If this is the quality of Republican debate no wonder Obama is so far ahead in the polls. Well the Republicans are going to get the president they deserve. They need to look at the selection process that time and again turns out such weak candidates. Are McCain / Pailin seriously the brightest stars of the party?

I thing the selection of Pailin was a cynical act that is an insult to the people of the USA. It has rightly backfired.

all of my'' allegations '' towards the democratic candidate are factual and documented and that is good enough for me,,any one that has been following this campaign to any extent will know this common knowledge

 

Unfortunately the party has been highjacked by the dogmatic right-wing to such an extent that there is no room for collaboration (or dissent). Thus, when the primaries are concluded, the least objectionable of all the "extreme" position candidates remains. McCain is the end result of a process designed to produce mediocrity - and it does a damn fine job

To me, the Palin selection was the only gesture McCain (and his handlers) had left to appease the wacky religious right and the faux-feminists - because they had been screaming loudly about their objection to McCain even after the nomination was settled. It smells of desperation, but I thnk it has accomplished what it meant to accomplish and now the deirdre's, cunny's and tatman's of the world can vote McCain without having to hold their noses :laughing:

If these things are 'common knowledge' there must be a link to them on the web - like being able to point to a link that discusses what a molecule is: http://www.biochem.northwestern.edu/holmgren/Glossary/Definitions/Def-M/molecule.html . . . see how easy it is to find links to things that are "common knowledge"
