The killer stats are that a few days ago it appeared that McCain had shaved a couple percentage points off Obama's lead. The latest polls show a new surge for Obama, and there is only two weeks left.

Also the way the election shapes up now, McCain would have to win every one of what they are calling the battleground states. That does not appear possible because all Obama has to do is win one of the battleground states to win the presidency and he is now leading McCain in most of them.

I would just like to correct the idea that John F. Kennedy's extra marital affairs were hushed up. Everybody in the country knew he was fucking Marylin Monroe on the side. The difference is that politicians sex lives were not part of the reporting. That came about when the Evangelical and Fundamental Christians gained political clout.

 

That's kind of what I thought. Its not really increases in taxes as much as it is increases in the cost of everything else from fuel to fertilizers, seeds, water (assuming you irrigate) and processing. I agree farmers and ranchers are getting squeezed but I hope you've looked at Obama and his proposed policies and tax cuts because while there is nothing specific for agriculture there are ideas that will help.

3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.
4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 +
5) American's were buying new cars,taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!...

But American's wanted 'CHANGE'! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress and yes--we got 'CHANGE' all right. In the PAST YEAR:
1) Consumer confidence has plummeted ;
2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing!; & nbsp;
3) Unemployment is up to 5.5% (a 10% increase);
4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by$12 TRILLION
DOLLARS and prices still dropping;
5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
6) as I write, THE DOW is probing another low~~
