I'm voting for Obama, but I can be unbiased in my view on the election. I definitely think Obama has the better policies and he will be the best president for this country. I don't think McCain is horrible, but after Bush, I don't think this country needs more of Bush's old policies. Especially in the area of energy and the environment, which is very important to me personally, Obama is much more committed and has much higher goals than McCain. McCain thinks we can solve everything with offshore drilling, "clean" coal and nuclear energy. These will be small parts of the puzzle but we really need to invest in completely clean energy such as wind and solar. Obama's policies will also create a lot of American jobs, which is exactly what we need in times like these. I think Obama will win the election, but it will be close. I think that it is tough for America to admit, but there are still many racists in this country. Whether turned off by his name, his race, or anything else, I think that sadly, there will be a fair number of people who will not vote for Obama simply because of stupid prejudices. Many of America's citizens, especially seniors, still remember a time when minorities were not considered equal. This might hamper Obama. Overall, Obama is leading in many big swing states, and between Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, Obama only needs to win ONE of these to win the election. This is assuming other states will stay the way they are leaning, but these states have a lot of valuable electoral votes and they are all leaning Obama. The country, I hope, will realize that the country's future will be much better off in the hands of Obama and Biden, and they will win the election. It will certainly be interesting to see how people actually vote on November 4, but I believe Barack Obama will be the next president.
