  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

    None, to my knowledge.

But my Exxon and BP dividend checks sure are nice. Thanks.

As long as you keep believing that you can't change the consumption of the commodity, I'll keep profiting.

I'm afraid that the low gas prices will make America forget about it's energy problems. At least when gas prices were high, people were trying to work the problem.

It's been dropping daily in my neck of the woods... last price I noticed was I think $1.66.

I agree with some of the other posters here that the high prices were actually having a beneficial effect by getting some of the gas-guzzlers off of the road. Where I live, about 2/3 of the people drive SUVs, or those huge trucks. Funny thing is, I never see anything in the back end of the trucks, and usually only one person in the SUVs. So WTF??

And why is diesel the most expensive fuel when it used to be the cheapest? Leave diesel where it is now and jack the price of the rest of the gas back up with taxes earmarked for more green technology. Lets just wipe out the huge profits that the gas companies took at our expense.

In about a year, prices will be back up. I know why but I'm NOT going to get into an argument about it. Just mark my words.

Wrong as usual. Exxon reaps huge benefits from tax breaks. Didn't the Obama campaign teach you anything.

And also as usual your trying to put your words in my mouth and try and make me debate the shit you make up in your own head.

I have never said we can't change consumption. All I've said is that right now there are limited resources for energy especially fuel for transportation. And that's because that's the way the oil companies wanted it and got it for the reasons mentioned above.

Piss. If we all drove dog sleds, instead of cars, all you poor assholes who actually get to drive would be bitching about the high price of dog food. I have to fucking walk everywhere.

You must live in a big city. I know a guy that's legally blind who can''t drive a car. We don't have good bus service. So, he has to ride with friends or take a cab.

Even if you don't drive, the price of oil will effect you anyway. It raises the prices to ship everything, including groceries.

Yes I must agree with that. You left out the monotonous repetitive news stories that don't really tell us anything that's helping and/or news. That effects me too.

It also effects me by giving me by giving me a cheap ice breaker when meeting people, "So how bout them gas prices [quip here]".

I just wish it would stop so many people from driving all day, so I wouldn't always have to go out of my to walk it to stop lights and stop signs that will let me cross the street when it's already going to take hours to get to my destination... in the rain...

If there were public transportation available between my home and work, I would be happy to use it. But there's not. It's about 18 miles each way. There are train tracks that run from about 2 miles from the house to about 2 miles from work. I would love to see them to put a commuter train in there. For now, it's only freight.

They are getting what the market will bear for their product . . . however painful it may have been for a time, I'm an advocate for gasoline prices climbing back up to $4-$5 /gal, thereby making the choice to amend behavior more obvious to the average consumer.

The guys in the oil industry may very well be soul-less money-grubbing bastards . . . but they're not stupid. :-|

    Nor are they poor.

I agree on the higher prices on fuel as being the best incentive for folks to conserve.

Conservation being a much, much lower priority than becoming consumers of alternative energy and the products related to such. ;)

Well there tenguy since you've got it all figured out, why don't you tell me why the price of diesel is falling at a much slower rate then the price of gasoline?
