Someone else made a good point that you should NOT trip alone for the first time..You should do it with a friend, preferably one who has experienced the drug before..

I only did 'shrooms once, but I remember it as being a pleasant experience..I was also smoked up on weed and more than a bit drunk at the time so maybe it was the combination of all three that contributed to my good time..I don't think the effects would have been the same had I just done the 'shrooms alone..

I also really enjoyed mescaline when I was a teenager and it was readily available (mid 80's) One time we went to buy it in Washington Square Park in NYC and got beat..But all the stuff I got from friends turned out to be good..Don't expect to see little green men running around or scenes from out of Alice In Wonderland..It's not like that (or at least not at the relatively small doses I've done) If I took mescaline, 2 hits was the max..Acid I've only done twice, both times it was one hit, and both times I tripped my balls off but didn't enjoy it as much as mesc or 'shrooms..

If you do manage to find a reliable source, don't overdo it..Hallucinogens are not a drug to be used every day, unless you want to wind up on the shrink's couch or on some flight deck somewhere! Treat them as an occasional indulgence..Plus if you use them a lot, tolerance builds up fast and you'll have to do a lot to get off..Then if you take too long a break in between and try to go back to the dosage you WERE doing, it will be way too much, you'll be out of control..

If you like your beers, as I do, you'll notice that alcohol does a really good job of helping to intensify a small dose..Also you seem to be able to drink more, so watch yourself that you don't get carried away!

 

start out with shrooms, i would eat 2 my first time, then move to ACID jell caps. and never ever look in a mirror when you are tripping NEVER!!!!!!!!!! BEST TRIP EVER IS THE STONE MOUNTAIN LAZZER SHOW!!!!

 

If you do drugs, do them safely, please. Don't get behind a wheel of a car, you could wind up hurting more than yourself, and that's something you shouldn't be able to accept.

But if you want drugs, go for it.

 

some mentioned before...

do with an experienced friend. id say two friends if possible. suggest one friend go on mission with you and one sober. one on mission experiencing similar warping is comforting. and sober one to put your face back on and things of that nature.

your surroundings will play part in your experience. if youre outdoors with lots of people...or indoor with a few...two totally different trips.

dont plan or try to do anything like driving...or operating anything more than a lighter...and even that will be little different than usual.

in case you havent got it yet...do not wander into bathroom and say fuck those guys...and look in mirror. a glance could turn into an hour or four...and your face will most likely appear to be a bad picasso.

 

I feel sorry for the poor shmuck that has to sit with you and look after you if/when you try this - this is the PRIME example of how drug takers are so selfish.

If you wanna be an ass - then be one on your own time and suffer the consequences.

The idea is that you get an experience space cadet to sit with you, not some half-willing mate who's got no idea what you'll be experiencing.

I was at a Grateful Dead concert in 1995 when I saw a guy in the audience flip out. It took four security guards to control him as they carried him out of the concert. People commented that he was having a bad acid trip. I don't know for sure if that was the case, but, I wouldn't want to be with someone tripping like that that.

I think it's far better to get high by accomplishing a goal of some kind. At least you are asking for advice before trying the drug.

i could go on and on about how fun it is to stay up all night eating massive amounts of acid. gel tabs, liquid, you name it, i've eaten it. fun stuff.

i would recommend you doing it with people that don't annoy you. every trip starts out wonderful where you can taste something you hear in the next room, until someone says or does the wrong thing. then you're suddenly in a place that you're trapped inside of, with no way out unless you blow a rail of cocaine. that seems to be the only thing that's capable of killing an acid trip. and it only kills it for about 20 minutes, then you're back in the game.

watch out for holes in the road and eggs that can speak french to you.

mushrooms never did anything for me. i took them a few times during an art class in college with these hippy people. they tasted awful and did nothing. *shrugs*

i was a fan of acid. tripping at a carnival is hours of fun. especially the rides that spin around. i remember sitting in my car after, for some reason i was trying to drive from the back seat (wtf??) and i couldn't stop pulling grass out of my hair. there was no grass. not sure what i was even touching.

I would love to tell you what it's like having your teeth fall out and being so fiend-ed that nothing gets you high, it only brings you back to normal, which is better than how shitty that you will feel without it.

 

I've only tried shrooms once. You've got to be around the right people and in a good mood obviously. Be around people that wont fuck with you and kill your high. I saw some craaaaazy things, haha.

Ecstasy is another good one as well. Gets you all happy and loveydovey. Dropping at a rave is heaven, haha, but like shrooms, you should be around a good group of friends and in a positive attitude.

 

id suggest you only do hallucinogens if you have no problems in your life and a good group of friends around you otherwise you can get in to serious troubles trip wise.
personally id go for shrooms.they dont last as long as acid but are more intense and the come down is way better.

Shrooms first, if you like that and really want to expand your trip(if you can get them, good luck if you live eastern US) try peyote. Reserve some serious trip time for the peyote! Where I may differ from others, I never trip alone(yes, I still do shrooms when I can get them) and I don't trip around straight people. The group trip is great.

I have (with some helpful advice I got from a friend on this forum) but while it does do something it really doesn't provide a trip like shrooms and LSD does. It's pretty short lived and I'm not sure the going up is worth the coming down.

 

Chunky has told you all you need to know. Personally, I got really lucky with my first acid trip, I took three tabs and went the mall on a busy night. Luckily I had a great "guide" and therefore had a great trip. And certainly you have to be in the right mood, LSD and shrooms seem to play off your mood, so good mood going in and you should be pretty straight.
