Well I don't know what the prisons are like in the UK, but dudes like that definitely wouldn't last even a week in jails around here because they're pussies. I'm not saying this because rapists are prime targets, I'm saying it because any dude who tries to intimidate a woman in any way is not a man, and is most likely infact softer than the women he tries to intimidate.

prisons in the uk? you are joking right? over here they get flat screen tvs and get to have jobs within the prison and save the money for when they are out. and the drug problem is huge; it's probably easier to score smack in prison rather than out of it. oh, and they get free reading and maths programmes.

i say prison should be a fucking punishment. if you've commited rape, pedophilia or non-justifiable murder, once you're in you're in. no chance of ever getting out. and it should be bare cells, not this fucking flat-screen-tv bullshit over here. like seriously, free food and board and tv at the expense of the taxpayer? fucking joke

 

well to be fair the government we have in does believe in rehabilitation and not punishment as the aim of prison and apparently the larger proportion of the country wants them in, also sex offenders and those committed of rape are in for a really really really rough time in prison by the other prisoners fortunately.

I can't find the words to express how outraged I am that these 'men' had such a short prison term given to them. This punishment certainly does not fit the crime!

9 years! That girl get's life and those bastards get 9 years? If only British prisons were more like American ones. If only they were. Instead they'll have duvets, they'll have TV's in their cells, they'll be looked after with the taxpayers money even when they get out. British justice is a fucking joke! We molly-coddle the criminals and let the victim go through hell.

One of the accused was stabbed to death in a fight before it came to trial, I thought I'd never say this about a fellow human being, but I hope he died slowly. I hope he found some idea of the pain he put that girl through. I hope as he gasped his last breath, he felt sorry for what he did.

 

I wouldn't cry for Mary Beth's(my stepdaughter) rapist, but I'm not so much concerned with vengeance as with protecting her and potential future victims from this pervert.

If you thought that sort of treatment was acceptable, you wouldn't be sentencing them in the first place because they wouldn't have done anything wrong.

 

Four other men were charged; one was stabbed to death in an unrelated gang fight before the trial; the other three have been cleared.

Now why the GBH is not attempted murder, I don't know. I've seen what caustic soda can do, and I'm surprised anyone would survive it.

I also don't know why the judge isn't giving the supposedly normal sentence for rape, of 15-20 years. The sentencing report hasn't been published yet, to my knowledge. An appeal by the CPS on the grounds of unwarranted leniency would not be a surprise.

i hope what iron horse said happens to them very slowly,and i really hope that CPS will charge the judge with unnecessary leinency,any judge who would be leinent to men like this should be thrown from his seat and beaten by the bailiff

 

It is very wrong that in the uk we dish out such leniancy and call it punishment
The young girl in question will have to remember and live with what happened to her for the rest of her life....they get 8/9 years or less...and then it's back on the streets of London
