I'm young and musicaly inclined (not bragging). But ladies, do you find your self attracted to the musican type? And guys how do you HONESTLY feel about girls who play an instrument.

 

Well.. if you ask me... I wish I knew an instrument...

As for a girl, I dunno. I can't imagine a girl playing an instrument to be something that would attract me. Well, if it was the Piano or violin, maybe... but otherwise I don't think so. Now, I'd be attracted to a girl if she was an amazing singer, if you count your own voice box as an instrument..

I LOVE girls who can play instruments! And I do melt if a girl can sing. Its a shame my gf is an amazing singer, but she refuses to believe that she is, so she never sings ive only heard her a few times in all the years we have been together, but I wish she would get the confidence to do it properly.

But anyway....I do have a HUGE thing for girls who can play piano. Although recently ive found a few girls who can drum rather hot as well....maybe its because im a drummer as well *shrugs*...It pretty much explains why I have such a huge thing for Vanessa Carlton though, she kind of ticks all the boxes I look for: Piano, sings, brunet, brown eyes, short. :lol:

So yeah...girls who play instruments=HOT. Having said that though, I dont like it if a girl shows interest in me purely because im a musician (although rare it has happend lol) one of my old bands looked like it mite go somewhere before it fell apart, and there were a couple of girls who were all over me after one gig we did, and it wasnt because of who I was but rather because I was in "that band". I found that really annoying and shallow. A nice boost to the rock star ego maybe. but no more. :lol:

Well I've been around instrumentalists for a while but I don't really feel anymore attracted to them than usual. I mean it's something else to marvel at if you're attracted to the individual initially. I find there has to be that attraction to the girl first, then what she does. Makes sense?

when I think about it, most of my exes have been musicians. I always tend to go after guys who play music...but I never find out until afterwards. It doesn't add anything, so I think it just has something to do with common personality traits among musicians.

 

Yeah I dig it if a girl plays, I been trying to put a band together my self lol, drummers are hard to find! A girl drummer would kick some butt. But yeah I've found that a lot of girls dig the singer or the guitarist or the drummer. Im a bass player and its hard to turn bass playing into something "sexy" at least in conventional rock music the bassist is always seen as a tag-along. now prog bassists! those guys can play!

Tell me about it! I used to just be a guitarist, but I got so pissed off at either not being able to find a drummer, or being in a band with drummer who couldnt be arsed, that in the end i went "fuck it" and learnt myself. Best thing I ever did, now what ever band im in i know it will always have a drummer, and one who is dedicated lol

What I find sexy about musicians is their ability to be vulnerable ... stripping it down to the barest of basics ... writing, playing or singing a song written especially for me ... all by his lonesome.

Of course, a hot guy on stage, tattoos ... yeah ... sexy. :excited:

 

I've always found musicians to be incredibly sexy. I play a little blues harmonica and do some singing myself, which probably affects how I feel about musicians.

 

I am really attracted to girls who know how to play with the skin flute!

 

I'm not "turned on" by female musicians, but, they are easy for me to relate to. I have dated several singers.

Here's an excellent female bass player that started out as a bebop jazz guitarist and switched to bass guitar, by accident when a bass player failed to show for a studio session in LA in 1958.

She's also a good bass teacher and has written allot of instructional books on bass playing. She even wrote a regular bass column in Guitar Player in the mid 1970s. As far as I know, she is still playing bass today, at the age of 74. A friend of mine usually visits with her whenever he is in California. He calls her a "good ol' girl".

I'm a band geek, and always been attracted to rocker guys.. specifically guitarists/bassists and vocalists.

 

Ironically, to me anyway, I saw a girl today who's kinda short, but really attractive. Anyway, I noticed she had a violin case strapped to her back, and I thought about it a bit and realized if she was playing it in front of me, I think I'd melt. I'd love to listen to her give me a private recital or something

So, maybe I'd fall for her 'cause she played an instrument. But I already said if it was a violin a girl could probably attract me...

 

well i do have this fantasy of a girl laying across a grand piano while i play...pretty cheesy but hot when it comes true
