*Cries* while I like Fbaily's stuff he is a little schizophrenic... and only half completes his work... and leaves you salivating... my 50 odd stories pale in comparison however... But I have several serials and it makes me wonder do those count as one story or several... if they only count as one then I have fewer stories than I think I do... which is annoying because I have more words than I want and the stories would be lacking without them.

Actually, I'm 69 years old (just two weeks ago) and my skin is just about as thin as an elephant. My (ire is too strong a word) displeasure was caused by the bullshit that seemed to be caused by a simple post of mine expressing admiration for fbailey.

I realize his stories are all very short and do not contain numerous chapters or thousands of words, but still - over 700 stories. I thought that was admirable. Did not understand, and still don't, the response. I guess it's just the way things are. Maybe I should, with your permission, refrain from posting any further comments on this site, even on my own thread.

I will say this much, anyone who has the ability to craft 700 stories has achieved something indeed; as to those who asked about multiple stories in a series I answer this way...each one is a story, just part of a greater production being presented.

How many great books are part of a saga or sequence of two, ten or more books, each capable of standing on their own, yet are part of the same characters? Go to Amazon sometime and search under books "series" and see how many you may find.

The day they hit one thousand stories is a true achievement.

I know what it took just to write seven simple stories of my Charity series, and the current short ones occasionally fry my brain to get them right let alone worth reading.

So to anyone who writes a story and posts it here, best wishes.

 

Anyone who, while using proper spelling and punctuation, is able to write a story that is pleasing to some (one can never please all - this thread is proof of that) is quite admirable in my book. And to do it over and over again, in spite of some of the nasty comments received before he dis-allowed comments, is without doubt, a large person.

May his last story be posted when the last reader keels over.:-s

 

Continuing the Fabiley Comments

I think it's fascinating how he really wants to get the most out of a theme. It seems he posts 3-5 at a time, usually with the same underlying basis, but each story has it's own little twist. He does have his favored memes of course, but the fact that he is able to really dig down to the heart of a signature moment or idea is really interesting. In fact, I think there is one story that he took one sentence (pants around her ankles or something), and wrote 5 vignettes with that idea.

I agree, I wish his stories were more fleshed out at times, but they are good enough that you get what you came for, and he definitely can give you a quick story that makes it's point, and doesn't drag on.

Kudos fbailey, keep it up.

 

Having been a fan of stories on this site for a long time I thought I would try my hand at writing. I may not have written much yet but I have a lot of ideas. I can't post links to my stories (not enough posts yet) but just look up my name or through my profile if you're interested.

Heyy i don't know if you're supposed to say yourself but i'm a new writer and so far have gotten no bad comments really and one person last year asked if she could publish one of my stories in a book. Mine are more along the kinky side, so unless you're into that kind of thing i'd stay away (Don't worry they're not horrible with violence and all that. And there is no rape).
I'm just looking for more readers and fans, not necessarily to get on the list. So it doesn't hurt to check out my page.
