This is just something I've been wondering recently, and refers to long-term relationships or marriage and having sex with someone else.
I've been with my girlfriend since we were at school (3 years now) and I've never slept with anyone else and neither has she.. to my knowledge . I mean, I kissed a couple of girls years ago but told her straight away.

But I just wondered how many relationships end up with cheating? And how often does the other half never find out?

I've been a relationship for a while and cheated once. It was a really stupid fucking thing to do and I paid for it by:

- Being violently sick afterwards and shivering for several hours
- Damn near hospitalising myself because of the heart pains caused by the stress I felt
- A feeling of worthlessness for a year afterwards

In short, I regret it completely and won't do what weak, stupid people do and blame the other party because it was equally my fault. If you care for your partner, don't cheat on them for fuck sakes.

I cheated on my current girlfriend of almost 2 years now. There was this extended period of time when she was always so busy with school and trying to appease her mom that she didn't have much time for me. I began hanging out with this other girl and one thing led to another and we ended up sleeping with each other.....quite a few times actually. There was this other time in my last relationship where i cheated on my gf of 2 years when i moved back to tennessee. I was hanging out with my friends sister and we were drunk and blazed out and i ended up sleeping with her. I felt so horrible afterwards though. I had a guilty conscience. I ended up telling my ex what i had done, hoping that she would forgive me. She did but things were never really the same afterwards. I learned that if do cheat, i should just keep my mouth shut like a real gentlmen .

 

I was with my boyfriend (Now ex) for six years, and I never once cheated on him, but he cheated on me a few times.
The only reason I found out was because he told me while he was drunk.

Well, I don't cheat! Never have and never will. If we are at a point in the relationship and I would consider it, its either time to overhaul or get out! My husband Missoula has never cheated on me either and never will!
It probably also helps that we are both into women and have a very open relationship. We agree to share other women.

 

Well, that's one solution. If you "legalize" cheating, then it's not cheating.

Is the type of answer i was looking for and makes me feel a little bit ill really, especially the idea of a regular, long term, full on affair.. I've always felt massively guilty after even kissing another girl and i'm not even close to married..

 

i havent had sex with another woman..but ive did things id consider cheating..later confessed though..not a wise thing unless your just unfulfilled..in which case you should be with someone else altogether.

 

I would never cheat for the reason being if I was to been cheated on I could never respect or trust my gf again and could not put another person in a position that would have to go through that. Btw I dont think there is a reason to cheat if you love some one you should not stray however if you do then your not in love.

 

i cheated on my most recent ex girlfriend once seriously, like sleeping and fucking, and a couple other drunk make outs for no more than like 5 minutes. although i felt terrible after the one time i really cheated, after we broke up, i was kind of glad that i had done it, maybe cuz my ex was a bitch about things ending, maybe cuz im still in college but its really a personal choice and how much you truly care for that person.
