I was talking to a friend of mine and the topic came around to sex. She told me that both her and her partner had to shower before sex or they couldn't do it.

I mean, I shower every day, so I'm clean enough for sex... I just can't understand her point of view.

Does anyone else do this? Doesn't it just ruin the spontaneous aspect of sex?

Typically at night when the wife and I are getting ready for bed, we shower and then have sex. We do prefer to shower right before sex due to the nastyness we have gained throughout the day. Yes there are times when it is spontaneous and we just have sex but think about it...do you want to have sex right after you took a dump? I don't know about you but I like to go down on my wife as so does she. I don't care how clean you are (and my wife is really F-ing clean) the thought still bothers me. So, to finish it up, I do like the shower first if we have the time. Sometimes we just have sex and haven't showered all day. Also, we may start to heat up but end up in the shower together and then on the bed and on floor afterwards. You can make it all work. I like to be clean, I shower every day but I do prefer to be x-tra clean before the deed, so yes I take a shower before where feasible. Besides living in the humid south you almost have to .
