  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

while i'm all for legalising it, i think it should be really heavily taxed. i was a lot more tolerant of weed until a couple of potheads moved into our flat. their room stinks, they never pay anything on time, i doubt they're ever on time for work judging by the times they leave the house. they'll cook a full tray of chicken, eat most of it and leave some for the flies to get, and never clean up. they don't follow the cleaning rota and if you try to say anything to this couple about how pathetic they are, they do nothing but giggle.

i'm going to start taking the pot from their room and flushing it if the rent's late this month. can't wait until they fuck off in september and ruin someone elses flat.

[[sorry for the rant, had to let this one out somewhere ]]

When President Eisenhower made the decision not to sign and not to honor the Geneva Agreement of 1954 he guaranteed that there would be a war in Vietnam during the 1960's. This is what the Geneva Agreement of 1954 stipulated:

    -------

"The Conference takes note of the clauses in the agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Viet-Nam prohibiting the introduction into Viet Nam of foreign troops and military personnel...

"general elections shall be held in July 1956...

"the military demarcation line should not in any way be interpreted as constituting a political or territorial boundary."

    http://www.fordham.edu/halsall/mod/1954-geneva-indochina.html

    -------

This is why Eisenhower refused to sign and honor the Geneva Agreement of 1954:

    -------

"I have never talked or corresponded with a person knowledgeable in Indochinese affairs who did not agree that had elections been held as of the time of the fighting, possibly 80 per cent of the population would have voted for the Communist Ho Chi Minh as their leader."

    -------

The United States provoked the War in Vietnam in order to prevent Ho Chi Minh from winning a fair election in a blowout.

I could give a rats ass how much tax free money you make. Does that affect my life in any shape or form? No, it does not. If it were legal for me to walk down the street to a "coffee shop", akin to the ones in Amsterdam, and burn a fatty in public, that would have a effect on me. I can appreciate your wanton greed, but I'd be more grateful to pay (high) taxes to make it lawful.

Only retards think they won't be able to make money. Growers will be able to do so safely without worry. The Police would legally have to help you if someone made an attempt to steal from you. So There wouldn't be much worry about having to guard your crops.

Even if there were restrictions, you could do plenty under the table. a lot of my mechanic friends have illegally modified their cars and never get in trouble

And that is why I say that weed shouldn't be legalized until we a) make it so that nobody can ever use an excuse for selling it when they get caught(as in give everybody equal opportunities and that doesn't just mean employment opportunities), and then b) make it so that once you're caught, since you have no excuse to be selling, you just bought yourself a nice chunk of time at the least. Then, everybody's happy and stoners can finally shut the fuck up about it.

That is the only way you will ever regulate marijuana and get rid of drug dealer problems.

And for the record, I'm of the opinion that marijuana should not be sold and should be free and be able to be grown anywhere for your own use, because the people who originally grew it didn't grow it to make a buck or charge anything for it. It was a part of the Earth, something that they were privileged to have.

I say legalize it, but taxation, best to make it a bit more expensive then a packet of cigarettes and have the same regulations, that way adults who might be more responsible will have it, and the kids dont have to use their allowance, they can just borrow from mommy.

I cant understand for the life of me why some would want to see pot so heavily taxed, it might as well stlill be illegal.
Booze in Canada has an 85% tax on it(last count).
Decriminalization would be a good start, and then maybe legalize it with some restrictions as they have for booze.
Like many here I have made my views known on this subject, some good posts here.

if it's legally and readily available in stores and shops why would people buy it from dealers on the streets?

have you ever seen a drug dealer pushing cigarettes?

Hmmm.....many years ago I spent a couple of months in the foothills of the Himalayas, just north of a small village called Manali. :)

The hash crop there was treated just as any other crop. The locals would harvest, keep what they needed for themselves and trade the surplus.

It just so happens that the hash crop is the last crop harvested before winter sets in....and nothing on any kind of working the land level can be done for a few months....which was a good enough reason to sit around at home, get regally stoned and just stare at the mountains!!

Incidentally, a full grown man could 'rub' just 10 grams of some of the finest hash in the world in a day......

the local kids could manage maybe a gram or two which they would swap for sweets in the tea shops in the evening!!

Calif. tax officials: Legal pot would bring $1.4B

By MARCUS WOHLSEN, Associated Press Writer Marcus Wohlsen, Associated Press Writer – Wed Jul 15, 9:14 pm ET

SAN FRANCISCO – A bill to tax and regulate marijuana in California like alcohol would generate nearly $1.4 billion in revenue for the cash-strapped state, according to an official analysis released Wednesday by tax officials.
The State Board of Equalization report estimates marijuana retail sales would bring $990 million from a $50-per-ounce fee and $392 million in sales taxes.

The bill introduced by San Francisco Democratic Assemblyman Tom Ammiano in February would allow adults 21 and older to legally possess, grow and sell marijuana.

"It defies reason to propose closing parks and eliminating vital services for the poor while this potential revenue is available," Ammiano said in a statement...

The Equalization Board used law enforcement and academic studies to calculate that about 16 million ounces — or 500 tons — of marijuana are consumed in California each year.

Marijuana use would likely increase by about 30 percent once the law took effect because legalization would lead to falling prices, the board said...

Meanwhile, marijuana supporters have taken the first official step toward putting the legalization question directly to California voters.
