Yay i thread really about football....'real' football where the objective is to 'kick' a ball, hence the name.

Well i dont support Fulham, but have nothing against them, so good luck.

Baseball is basically 'rounders' i would rather have football anyday..god i would even rather have your 'girls rugby' and that is saying something.

 

American football players would kick a SOCCER players ass

 

Well 'football' players don't play the same sport as you, i would love to see your players actually have to tackle and kick the ball around the field.

Now 'rugby' players, play just as tough, without the padding and other protective gear you players wear. Yes i too would love to see a match between the two, though without the protective gear, that your guys wear.

I've always been with Aresenal, I dont know how well they will come out, but they will at least snuff out liverpool.

nah haven't seen it hon. I don't really watch programmes like that, football fans and supporter already get a bad enough reputation about us being hooligans, without them making films on it.

Oh and foot, Arsenal will finish 4th like they always do...or maybe even lower.

 

Here's a tantalizing thought naughtygirl, a game of rugby union between the best of american gridiron players and the English national team or the New Zealand All Blacks, and no padding or helmets. What a bruising game that'd be, especially where the english were known for stomping or digging the ball out of mauls using their boot studs.

 

To be honest, its not really that much of a tantalizing thought. My comments about 'American Football' where just to say that i think its very similar to our 'Rugby' only our guys don't have any of the protective gear.
The two sports don't really excite me in any way. However if the American players were willing to play our rugby players, without the protective gear, then i would of course watch, might change a few people's opinions also.

However we have a thread for 'Amercian Football' already and this thread, as i pointed out before is for 'real' football, the kind that does excite me.
The kind were two teams, play against each other, using nothing but feet and head, to score. Its a game of skill and 'one' of our countries greatest sports, not to mention also watched and supported from people all over the world.

It is not about seeing who is the hardest, and who can hit the hardest.

 

I tried to make the same point in the other thread as well that a game of skill is more exciting to watch than 2 teams trying to beat the turps out of each other.

Collingwood for our championship game, in 4 weeks......and Liverpool for the Premier League, and West Ham to go up again next year.
