the local press in newcastle is saying that a bad season for LFC could ruin them as ther levels of debt/revinue are higher than the toons befor religation

whats your take on that one they also recon that man u is in a similar position and while sucsess breeds sucsess in this situation failure leadts to our predicament

and befor you jump on me i would much rather rise to your level than have you come down to ours

just think that perhaps mits time for some sort of spending cap

I was watching Sunday Supplement on Sky on Sunday morning and it seems nearly all football football clubs are basically running on credit...ie...in debt.....


They remain afloat purely by being able to service that debt, ie pay the interest each month.

With regards the big 4 or 5 now, if you include Man City....these debts run into the hundreds of millions for each of them

Not qualifying for the Champions league could quite easily spell disaster.

 

yeh thats whats being said down here in the local press the big clubs ar paing minimal amounts of the capital and only paying the interest but then that probably goes for most of the PL

 

Probably true, but it seems the bigger the club...the bigger the debt, so therefore the more at stake with regards the Champions league....

And with Man City now up there and looking quite good for a place......(even though they are also running on credit) one of the established big four might easily come unstuck.
