Incidentally.....Benfica played Fulham once......a long time ago...in a friendly at Craven Cottage.....with Eusabio in their side......and we beat them!!

I was there.....as I was when we played Santos...with Pele in their side....

I used to get into Craven Cottage as a kid.....just to watch him train.

He had balls in the centre circle.......and a ballboy at the corner flag......

He was aiming to land every ball inside the little quarter circle.

For me it has to be seeing Ronaldo in his pomp at Barca, what a fantastic player and how sad the way his career just dwindled out. A close second would be Messi but he didnt have the best game last time I was at the Camp Nou.

 

Ronaldo was pretty good......skill and power.......a bit like Drogba.....minus the diving ability!!

I think Cruyff is worth a mention ......and Neeskens too.

 

Before my time to have seen them play, unfortunatly.

Not having that diving ability made him great. Drogba drives me made. He has so much yet he ruins it with stupid antics; has all the ability to step-up into the next echelon of players if he packed that up. But, whilst he continues to play silly buggers, he will just remain a good premiership player.

obviously the wind is allowed to enter the field of play, i didnt say otherwise did i.

happily though it was 2-0 at Anfield today as i suspected (in fact i put that on at the bookies). I didnt think manure would find it easy at all (just like last year when we didnt have any of our 2 man team playing except Gerrard came on for the last 20 mins). In actual fact manure were played off the park and certainly didnt look like champions just like they have not looked like champions all season or last for that matter.

you see, manure are only champions because they get so much assists in the form of officials when they need it. if they had been winning today then despite substitutes there would have been 2 or 3 mins added on. but no, its 5 for manure coz in the last 5 mins if they cant score then its probably enough time for the ref to turn things around for them (yeah and why was Mascherano booked and sent off for that????? was it not the keeper who was wrecklessly irresponsible bursting way out of his box down to the sideline miles away from his goal me thinks. but hey ho, it kinda backfired guys didnt it... heh heh. i suppose from now on we will not have added time in these games since we seem to keep rubbing it in and scoring at the end just to add insult to injury.

Completely agree with all of this. I too noticed how united scum got the added minutes and even when it had gone over that time, play still continued, so that they could get their last minute goal, however it was a beauty by ngog that put us 2-0 and then the ref had to call time. ^_^

Hopefully this will be the start of us actually playing properly now, were 5th yay!!!!
Time to keep moving up the table; see peeps told you not to count us out, looks like that exactly what united scum did and it was their downfall!

Take nothing away from Liverpool, they were the better team but, isnt it funny how one week the ref's mistake cost's you three points and the following week he gets you three? What a twisted game we follow.

Bunny the refs of these games; grrrrrrrrrrrr i could glady kill. It was so obvious he was letting play continue so the scum could get a last minute goal, but instead we got that last minute goal, then he had no choice but to call it to an end and it made our win even more sweeter:excited: ^_^
