  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

know where you are coming from there

got no respect for Owen as a man or a footballer any more

2 or 3 more goals from him and we would still be in the PL but he did not even try for a 60/40 ball all he wanted to do was leave injury free on a free bee at the end of the season

I heard the excuses about the quality of the service he received and it was poor but he put no effort in and took £100,000 a week for it

Yeah i was quite suprised by his performance for you, well if you can call it that.

He was 100% only in it for the money, that was pain stakingly obvious; which probably did have the knock on effect of getting you relegated.

blatantly true 2 more goals could have been six points or one goal against Hull would have kept us up

but look how he had to crawl to Man u for a job

the great Michael Owen on a no play no pay contract

AF & MU screwed him like he screwed us lol

You think? Not unless they knock down the stadium in the district of Anfield and build on the ruins.

Who cares if they call the new one the Nike Stadium, as long as tthey pay many millions for the privilege.

If you were Owen, would you put your future on the line for a team you didnt care about.
NUFC offered him megabucks and he took it. He did his best in a shambles of a team, with a shambles of a back room staff.
NUFC had championship written all over it.

agree with you on every thing except he did his best the last six months he did not even try

dont blame him for taking the big pay packet just for not earning it in the last six months

it is his job to play football to the best of his ability not to avoid playing

That's your opinion, Tom. But you (nor me) dont know what was going on in the background. Was he injured, i dont know.

He was unprofessional imo, BUT he played in great Liverpool/Madrid teams, he made runs ppl found him, he had quality around him.

How many time do you knock your pan in making runs and not being found b4 you become disillusioned. How must it feel to take the field against ManU/'Pool/Arsenal/etc where you know NONE of your teammates could get into these sides; knowing your team is ouclassed; knowing you're knocking your head against a brick wall.

Owen was the consumate pro at 'Pool, he scored goals and was unfairly treated at Madrid (because of Raul/Ronaldo bias), he WAS a class player; perhaps he is NOT now and was losing it at NUFC. The bugger gets chance after chance at ManU and misses a lot.

There were a lot of others to blame at NUFC just as much/more than Owen.

    no argument there

call me old fashioned but when you get paid £100k a week i expect you to try your best whatever the other dick heads around you are doing

like you said he spat the dummy out and stopped trying
only rumours but at the end he wasn't played because he made it known he was not going to risk an injury but i believe it

although lots of others are to blame as well he caries the biggest share in my books as he was paid big bucks to score goals and stopped trying

if he had stood in the middle of the pitch shouting and swearing at his team mates with his hands on his hips as Alan S did i would have had more respect for him

consummate professional NO NOT IN MY OPINION:mad:

When you look at the number of times the 'Big 4' have been beaten this year as against last; with the emergence of ManC and Spurs, this year's EPL could be the most exciting in years. It might also be won by a team who have lost more matches in a season than any other winner.

    Stats from paper, yesterday:

Losses after 10 games (arsenal have played 9)

    Last season This season
    Liverpool.....0 'Pool.........4
    Chelsea.......1 Chelsea.....2
    ManU..........1 ManU........2
    Arsenal........2 Arsenal......2

IMO this makes the EPL even MORE exciting. I feel it has gotten a bit boring, as top 4 qualify for CL, makes loadsa money, become the top 4 again the next season etc.

If ManC or Spurs break into Top4, then perhaps whoever gets dropped, and the others will take a long, hard look at things like: how much of their turnover goes on player wages; money owed by clubs, where most of their operating profit goes to pay interest on debts etc.

I only hope that none of them go bust as a result.

    Cheers!
