my excuse is that i started supporting the Liverpool reds as a small boy back in the day when football was only a real mans sport and you couldnt be anything but to play it. back in those days the pure hatred from Liverpool towards manure was at an all time high and well thats what i was brought up with and its well and truly ingrained deep down. its not really an excuse its a fact.
any other team i can appreciate when its called for but manure will never and dont deserve any respect so thats that. simple as, end of, apologies for any offended parties but i suggest you just accept what you cannot change and get over it.

p.s. that boy N'Gog is turning out to be a tasty little player just as i suspected and you would never know Torres wasnt playing with cracking strikes like that hitting the back of the net!

p.p.s. defending is still annoyingly crap though!

i think it was up to 10 by the end of the first half! we pretty much owned that game entirely but for some reason, including them desperate defending and flooding the box, the ball just would not go in.

i cant believe they are making such a big deal of the penalty we shouldnt have got. im angry coz when man u does that kinda thing its ah well they did like dominate the whole game so they did deserve it at the end of the day!

sad result and sad we have yet more injuries but N'gog was really good and Johnson was very proactive despite a few crazy passes. Gerrard did well in creating as you would expect but its a shame he just is not right yet.

things are not looking too good overall i have to say. we need a super fast injection of that Liverpool magic. The good thing is that there is an international break now and nobody will be getting any of our boys to play for them or else there will be trouble!!!!!

If a man u player had dived like N'gog youd be up in arms telling us they are all cheats, Thats one of the most blatant examples of cheating you will ever see; as I keep saying all teams and players cheat these days, its part of the game. Thats one of the reasons I'm not so passionate about the game as I used to be, it doesnt resemble the man's game I used to play and watch. As such, it doesnt deserve the same support.

like you said players like that are spoiling the game he should be given a 3 match ban and the goal disallowed that would tech the teams to stop this sort of thing

i know some times the diving is 50/50 they are chopped but they could have stayed on their feet

but that was blatant cheating and i hate it from any team

I hate seeing my team do it, but it is part of the modern game I'm affraid. If were going to complain about it then that needs to be consistant, not only when teams other than ours cheat. I make you right Tom, starting next season and player found diving should be banned for three games and the point awarded to the team deducted. May sound harsh but something needs to be done about it.

i hate cheating as much as i hate referee's making blatant mistakes. N'gog is a young player and that was so so blatant that i would like to think that since he saw him coming in like a raging tank he just decided to maniac tackle surf.
I wish he had said to the referee he didnt touch him but he didnt. cheating is out of order. we shouldnt have had a penalty. but of course if he didnt ride that tackle how might that challenge have turned out? another injury for 6 weeks???
anyway no excuses, there are very few incidents of a Liverpool player cheating compared to other big teams. i would prefer there were no incidents whatsoever. when a team wins the league they should be able to say they did it being the best team around. sadly there are not many winners of the EPL can say that at all.

video replay for big box incidents and penalty decisions and any other unclear decision have to be used. i can see that making it fair for all and quite possibly dramatically show who the previous heavy cheaters are. but they know who they are of course.

if it had not been for that penalty last night then it would have just been an exciting game we just didnt win somehow and now its all a point we should never have had :(

i dont agree as i believe that he was initially evading a huge marauding desperate flying in defender. lets face it most of birminghams defending was desperate and as a result often potentially dangerous.

what happened was it look like it might have been a penalty to the ref who obviously was not in the best position to clearly see.

this then led to N'gog just not admitting that he wasnt touched. With video evidence the result of this would be no penalty and no booking. it was not a dive but it was accepting the referee's wrong decision.

dont just crucify Liverpool just because its not one of the every week usual suspects and its been a long time since the last time you were all able to crucify us for something. It doesnt happen very much at all, we generally dont cheat and i aint proud of it but you are all as well as the media making a meal out of a relative nothing. is that so that the others dont look so guilty or just because its Liverpool? i wonder

We all get point we dont deserve and we all lose point we didnt deserve to, it really is swings and roundabouts. But poor refereing and blatant cheating needs to be addressed.

Cheating has always been part of the game, always will be. Is in every sport, there are ways to bend the rules and then there is blatant cheating. As the legendary JP Williams said to a South African opponent eho accussed him of cheating in the Lions 74 tour " boy'o when you have played as much rugby as me you will know how to play rugby". Cheating or gamesmanship is an art, but it cant be blatant. Referres need to understand the game better than they do and need help to minimise the big mistakes they seem to be making regulary. Some accountability and interaction with the media may help, I think if we all understand what the referee saw and how he interpreted it then that may placate us a little as well.

I have nothing against Liverpool, why would I want to crucify you? I'm a football fan first and foremost, then country and then club. We make a point about what each others club is upto on this thread, as you well know filling it with your love for Liverpool. I could talk about about the penalty decissions in Barnsley V Sheff Unt last night but no one is really going to talk about that on here as we talk about our teams.

Where you not the guy who pointed out football is a contact sport? Can you no longer slide in to block shots?

all teams do it now but i think it was a blatant dive not evading a tackle the man is a cheat in my books and he deliberately deceived the ref

just like ronaldos dive if their is no or very little contact there can be no spectacular dive

i believe he couldn't stand the taste of another defeat and dived for the penalty

No hold my hands up and say that dive was awful; he really didnt need to do it, i think he would of been able to get the goal anyway; such a shame.

However i still believe we were the better team overall; more ball possession, more chances and on target tries.

Our biggest problem was that the brummies came for a draw anything else was a bonus so they would move two points away from the bottom three. So when we scored that pen, regardless of how suspect the whole reason behind it was they all just defended. They stopped trying to get another goal and just made sure they kept all their bloody players in the box:mad::mad::mad:

'ha ha ha ha ha ha....' What age are you, guyo, 12?
Why dont you try grown-up, well thought out, intelligent argument for a change.

By the way, Manure didnt need to cheat and dive their way to a HOME DRAW against Birmingham(?)

Will 'Pool manage to qualify for the Europa League this year?

+100. I dont support Manure, but i find it so so sad that there r ppl on here who HATE with a passion so extreme.
'Pool supporters will argue that what Ngog did is part of the game, yet aver that manure are cheating scumbags.
What Ngog did should be rewarded by a 3 match ban. man is a cheating scumbag who cheapens the game.

By the way, for all those saying that manure get all the referee decisions, what about yesterdays game. Thay shoulda had a pen first half, and the Chelsea goal shouldnta been a goal on THREE different ways.

Three horse race for the title!!
