Do the glasgow clubs deserve an automatic jump to the PL? If they think they are good enough let them play their way in after joining the english FA.

 

Next year is a World Cup year, christmas is approaching and strangely I feel no stress or tension in my football world. WTF is going on... Oh yeah England have already qualified thus robbing me of nervous energy, stress and adrenalin rushes.

Yeah I'm with you there Tom. Wouldnt have been fair on the two English clubs that would of had to make way or those of us in the pack chasing the top four.

You're trying to tell me that you'd rather your team was playing one of these teams than travel to Celtic park (fantastic stadium/fantastic fans) or Ibrox.

Problem is, not too many of the turkeys (at or about the bottom of the league) will be voting for Xmas will they?

 

I would rather be playing in the CL and seeing my team in Europes top stadiums, than have either Scottish team in the English PL taking that chance away. So yes I will take Hull over Ibrox any day. Selfish, maybe but equally as selfish for the Glasgow clubs to want to leave their league and join anouther. Thankfully it has been dumped as an idea (well probably till it raises its head next season).

These teams have some of the most passionate fans in the PL! Propper football clubs these. I'd much rather go to there ground's than chelsea's with aload of city boy quilts!

Plus could you image Rangers fans bouncing down here. You saw what they did in wankchester.

 

Yep and they dont deserve to lose out just to accomodate two teams who have outgrown their league. The SPL shouuld look at how it can strengthen itself.

they havent really outgrown the spl at all. to be perfectly honest they are not much better than the rest of the rubbish playing in the top flight scottish league. ok they are not rubbish but we are probably talking top of league 2, bottom of league 1.

there is not a single chance that either celtic or rangers would qualify for the champions league for a long time to come if they joined the premiership but both would be lucky if they both didnt get relegated to the championship immediately and then straight down again to league one. dont think they would slip any further but probably struggle to get back to the championship again.

they would make more money no doubt and in time would possibly improve 10 fold but it would take time. in the meantime their fans would have to travel much further afield and may stop travelling. to be honest i think they are better off where they are with the possibility of making money in europe which they wont have while in england

first of all as a large part of Scotland wants Independence it is hypocritical for Scottish clubs to want to join an English league

I would bet them the majority of English fans don't want them

Also remember FIFA and UAFA want to end the 4 leagues in the UK and have one British league.

so if you want to kiss good by to the Scottish national team this is a good way to start

I don't think they are good enough to be in the PL, let alone even qualify for the CL. Also have to agree with Always, no sooner were they here they would be relegated down to championship, granted they may be top of their league, but lets face it, that does not even come close to the talent of the teams in the PL.

come the world cup they will be supporting any team that plays England

so why should any English teams make room for them
