  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

NO, NO, NO. I NEVER want to see video replays in football, it will fundementally desroy the sport as we know it. Firstly, the phases of play in a football match literally change by the second, e.g: is it a foul? if yes then free kick, if no then play on, if the decision is in doubt, where do you stop the game to look at a video replay? it's the same with practically every eventuality in the game.

Secondly, football in most countries is the most popular sport, meaning mass participation from ppl of all social backgrounds, those of us who play amateur football will know what im saying here, the beauty of the game is that the sport that we see on TV is the exact same sport we play with our pub teams on a sunday morning, same rules, everything. if they bring in ANY kind of technology into the game it will likely be at the top level, but realistically, can u see ur pub landlord installing a large video screen & some goaline lasers or whatever for the bit of wasteground that u play you home games on? it will create a two-tiered game, kids will be put off playing for their junior/school teams because they dont have technology like the premier league clubs do, i'm ranting a bit but IMO video/goaline technology doesn't seem either practical or sustainable throughout all levels of the game.

    Wow, im done now! ;)

It hasn't change grassroots rugby or cricket.
Also it will probably be for only penalty areaand goal mouth incidents

How often have you played without an official ref or a pair of line o's? Do you have a fourth official at your games? You playing infront of 40,000 fans who will let there feelings be known at any mistake? Fans who the result can be the most important thing in their week? Dont kid yourself, the game we play at amateur, even semi pro and lower league, doesnt resemble top flight football at all.

in parts you are both wrong and both right it is the same game top to botttom but the pressures is different at the top and this encourages the diving and .only the top level needs the cheats sorting out

if it was limited to goals, penalty's, and bookings it wouldn't be used to much in each game

Well I havent played competitive football for some years now but from what I understand cheating is even becoming part of kids football, they imitate what they see the pro's do. If they dont see the pro's doing it they wont be immitating it! We need to put more pressure on players to stop cheating and one way is the use of technology, be it retrospective or during the game. Yesterday, an unidentifeid PL player text talksport saying cheating is part of the modern game and players love to cheat. I know he can speak for all players but that gives you an idea of how some behave.

I cant think of that many incicednt during 90mins that would require the review of a replay, I would go so far as to say it isnt necessary in the majority of games. But top flight football is so important that we need to ensure the refs get all the help thay need in reaching the right decission when there is some doubt.

As I said before I've played games without an official ref and it was the norm to have a man from each side running the line in Sunday league game. Granted Saturday we would normally have linesmans but that was a higher level of football than Sundays. You get it? higher level different from lower level, not the same game!

What is most important, is that the ref is respected, that he makes the right calls, we have aids that can help him do that and with all the scrutiny his decissions get from us we owe it to him to give him better tools to achieve that.

As i posted video replays should only be used in red card offences and when suspect goals are scored, if the opposition players complain bitterly as they did in the Ireland-French game then the goal should be looked at. I've seen plenty of mid field red card send offs that were bad mistakes. The referees have a split second to make a decision and we all know that there's plenty of players who are professional at doing a dive and making it look real.

Football is always promoting "Fair Play" but what this lastest episode says that it's not always even and fair.

Chelsea are looking ominously good arent they? They had Drogba, Lampard, Carvalho out yesterday and ran over Wolves. Looking v. difficult to beat, and scoring lots of goals.
    Two horse race, the EPL?

Yeah they ran over a poor wolves side, but in such style they are looking very hard to stop.

Two horses left on the track? yeah have to agree it looks like 'pool, city and the gooners have fallen to far behind.
